Awful rag, an absolute a shambles of lazy journalism & I'm astonished that the owners would deem it worthy of a paywall, the fact anyone subscribes to the bile they churn out is mind blowing

Would give a 0 if I could. Absolute scum journalists, making money off people's grief and invading privacy of families and minors even when told not to post anything. They still proceeded to post. When emailed, Richard was rude and sounded like an absolute narcissist. Wasn't even willing to listen to why what was posted was wrong.
I highly recommend avoiding this scum of the earth newspaper and it's downright shitty journalists, with piss poor writing skills.

My family recently experienced an upsetting breach of privacy after the EDP published my mother’s full name and business details without consent, despite her clearly refusing to be named. The journalist continued to message her after she said no, and the editors (Anthony Carroll and Richard Porritt) have since responded dismissively, showing no empathy or professionalism.Their response to my formal complaint was, “OK, look forward to the IPSO investigation.” This lack of accountability and care is appalling. We are now taking the matter through IPSO for formal investigation.

I would urge others to think twice before engaging with a paper that disregards people’s rights and privacy.

Spelling mistakes is only the start. Ads make the site unusable. Don't get me started on the "news" they publish.

I keep getting notifications about stuff that happened anywhere between 2 and 5 days ago! Never anything new.

It's a shame that the edp , can't even report , on a county football cup final , that happened , last Thursday evening ?

They bombard me with headlines, then when I try to follow the story I'm just bombarded with endless adverts.

I keep blocking them!!

The editor Richard Porritt should read John Milton's Areopagitica which argues for freedom of expression in Britain. The current attack on freedom of speech in Britain which appears to be receiving the support of the EDP is unconscionable.

Poor journalism. Click bait titles including spoilers for media. Website full of ads. AVOID!

Digital subscription was fine at a promotional cost, but it was auto renewed at £79 with no warning whatsoever. The first I knew of this was when I received my bank statement 3 weeks later, by which time it was too late to get any refund. To be fair, it was buried in the T&C's but who reads these? BE AWARE !

This filthy rag which has diabolical standards of journalism anyway, has decided its fine to use Princess Catherine's cancer diagnosis to promote... FUNERALS!

Dreadful News Editorial.
Publishes fake and non factual articles.
Only a provincial news editorial that shouldn't be taken seriously.
Their so called senior investigators, are at best young and juvenile, and completely unable to grasp reality and fact in law.
Nothing more than a comic and not even worth 1 star.

Dire website with numerous and appalling adverts from dubious sources. News worthy content very limited in scope and interest usually gleaned from other social media outlets anyway.

You cannot have inappropriate ads and charge for ncfc press. The stories are scraping the barrel as is the entertainment at Carrow road.

The articles are often badly written and it's clear they're not checked before publication, but it's only a local paper so it's not so bad. Without an adblocker the website would be unusable but the free adblocker I use takes out all of them so they're not a problem.

Sorry EDP I don't like paying a subscription for watching advertising you can not have both! Local news should be more accessible...
