Ebid is a great place to buy or sell, I always prefer to support the small guys rather than the arrogant all powerful.

While it is easy to,set things up and with low commission charges, if you are trying to sell more specialist items, such as vinyl record or books, it just does not have the outreach of bigger sites like e-bay or Discogs for example. It 8 months I've only sold 4 items, non vinyl. It seems to do well on stamps and postcards. Worth a look though.

Ebid has some travel company that took just about $70 from me as I signed up for their free site and then did not even charge for the one item i came there for. I will get my money back. I have already contacted my bank. This is crazy. I called myself going to save money and then they stole from me. I will never go there a gain.

I fell for all the feedback for Ebid and invested in a lifetime Platinum which I got for £69.99p. I may as well have flushed that money down the toilet. I have been a member for nearly a year and have over 100 listings for vinyl records and I have not sold one record, never had an enquiry, took the issue up with Ebid who offered advice which I'd already followed and ziltch! DO NOT FALL FOR THE HYPE, the site is dead and I'll never recover the money and time I wasted joining and listing my items. Christmas is a busy time for sales but you've guessed it the total sum sales on Ebid to date is zero! Before anyone thinks my prices may be too high, WRONG mine are lower on average to those listed on EBID and Ebay. DON'T WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS MONEY!

eBid is a great online marketplace that is easy to use and navigate. Its search function is very good at finding matches rather than offering up a bunch of unrelated stuff.

As a US seller stay away. I have a lifetime membership, I signed up 5 years ago & never got any sale. Recently, They've suspended the account asking for verification documents & I sent them all the documents that they need but they keep asking for more with no reason. Their behavior makes me suspicious about their activities.

Easy to use and list. You get good email support. Hardly any glitches not always redesigning. Improvements when necessary as in the new photo upload much better and cured a small problem that was there before. sadly not many sales but it is getting better

As a seller, I signed up to this site in 2010. Admittedly I've not always been on here but in that time I've only sold one item. I've signed up for a lifetime membership and I've not received an email from them since 2020. I've NEVER seen them advertise in the ways eBay or Amazon do.

Excellent site. All items purchased delivered fast and in good condition. I have some things listed for sale too.
Easy to use. Much less hassle and less expensive than eBay.

Well when eBay has offended as many times as eBay has, you have to go looking for an alternative and I guess this is it. Pleasant experience so far. I like the low low low fees. Wouldn't be much sales unless I promoted my items on my own. But seriously I have had it with ebay.

It's like the big auction sites - but without all the messing about, much more person to person rather than person to large reselling corporation.

Cheep fees for sellers, good products for buyers, have been using for a number of years and much prefer it.

It's my first time using eBid today so while my opinion is somewhat neutral I am going to mention some things I've noticed at a glance that should be addressed.

- Why not allow unlimited listings regardless of the tier of package you have and collect all those 5% final value fees from the silver tier and 2% from the Gold tier?

- Unless you have a lifetime Platinum package the number of items you can list and images to go with them are somewhat limiting. 5\1 and 100\20 for Silver and Gold tiers respectively.

- Silver tier particularly is extremely undesirable and only hurting the chances eBid has to grow. In the case of the Silver tier why are you limiting people to just 5 listings and 1 image? The site, and traffic to it, will not grow shooting yourselves in both feet like that.

- Gold tier is better allowing 100 listings and 20 images and if anything probably offers too much for someone who just has a lot of things to sell as they wouldn't make use of much of the other benefits offered making the package somewhat poor value for money per month for those types of people.

- Platinum package is solid enough for those who would use the platform regularly.

- Why isn't there an option to pay up front for an individual promoted listing? For instance like Gumtree offer, sometimes people only have one or two items but want to get rid of them as fast as possible. An option like this would allow that.

- Why isn't eBid advertising itself more heavily? Not once, regardless of price comparison website or if I look at Google\Ecosia shopping results have I ever seen a link or listing for something on eBid.

I do enjoy ebid as a buyer and seller very much.

I've tried contacting directly, the response hasn't been exceptionable. I've requested a API and still waiting for an approval status. This is really lacking customer support or very little. I paid a lifetime membership but expected better customer support. I know that this website is similar to shopify ect. but i do expect better than what I'm receiving. "Budgetsales2015"
