Dobbies Garden Centres - Stapleton Bewertungen 414

I visited Dobbies, Stapleton purposely to purchase two poinsettias. Having got them home and took off the sleeve on one of the plants, I was disgusted at the quality of this plant. It looks like it's been trimmed so no leaves around base if plant. It looks spindly, and was so dry. I haven't taken the sleeve off the second plant as it is a gift. I paid £9.99 each for these plants. Not even worth the £4 that I could have paid at a supermarket. How can you justify this?

As a loyal Dobbies customer l decided to book a festive afternoon tea for a friend last week, big mistake. Very busy, 3 assistants didn't know what to do but eventually we were seated in the conservatory which was very noisey and cold. After a while we received our tea which was luke warm and unfortunately the cakes were wet and when cut the scones crumbled to nothing. As for a free refill unless you wanted to stand in a long queue forget it. A very disappointing and embarrassing event considering l recommended Dobbies to my friend.

Great coffee & scones. Nice selection of Christmas items to browse. The small Waitrose is useful.
Only negative is the condition on the toilets.

Went in for an afternoon treat from the cafe. All good!

Visited woodland Dobbies, cafe is chaotic, it needs better organisation, toasted tea cake wasn’t hot.
I know coffees take a while but something needs sorting, by the time you get to pay your food is cold.

Good garden centre as always, but can't understand why at busy times , not all the coffee or beverage stations are not in use, causing long delays getting served, it really does put me off having a coffee

It’s a pleasant experience always something different to see. Great for a relaxing drink.

On visiting the restaurant we were met with surly staff that ignored you, uncleared tables, cracked crockery, disgusting stained chairs, more like you would expect from an old transport cafe than a garden centre. Seems to be a common problem in Dobbies garden centres, if only the restaurants were updated and staff trained it would make what are nice centres into a pleasurable experience.

Attentive, knowledgeable staff on hand to answer any queries you might have. Excellent products at reasonable prices. Fantastic coffee as well 😋

We have now been to Dobbies at Stapleton twice and both times the staff have been arrogant, rude and really unhelpfull. We will not be going again

Food great but too expensive & coffees half full, mostly foam!

Chairs need replacing in restaurant and weighting on staff need to clean tables.

On the Wednesday the queues for the restaurant were ridiculous. The drinks side needs to open either side of their counter but they have no room to work. The queues for the til were also bad, although not quite as long. The garden centre down the road has refurbished their cafe and prices are on a par with you with Very little queuing and we were tempted to leave and visit there. However the staff are very friendly and the cafe is kept clean and tidy. When I visited the previous week the toilets had been cleaned by a lady (Rosie?!) that was previously working in the cafe and they were the cleanest I have ever seen them, she had made a good job, but then, they have always been poor and need maintenance as taps, driers, toilets not always in working order and all could do with a refurbishment. The heaters in there need cleaning by removing the covers. When I visited on the Thursday 5th I spoke to John in the garden centre who was very helpful and chatty. The staff are good, friendly and helpful but you need more of them. I visit the centre regularly as the selection of plants and other items is good and will continue to do so.

Love Dobbies Stapleton. Everything for the garden a variety of shops. Good restaurant. We always get what we go for. Looking forward to see the Christmas display. We go at least every month sometimes more.26

The customer service is great. I was served by a young man called Jacob and he was polite and kind and did a very good job. He even signed me up for a Dobbies Club Plus card and explained it all to me thoroughly. A delightful young man that really improved my experience! ☺️

What an absolutely brilliant shop. Great garden centre for a start with a wide range of interesting plants, seeds and bulbs. But also hardware such as gravel and rocks. Inside lots of concession stores including clothing and gifts. Great, helpful and knowledgeable staff. To top it off a fab coffee shop and a surprise fruit and veg stall outside to pick up salad for dinner.

We bought a large chimenea. When back home , opened the box and there was no lid.
Rang the customer service who advised me to ring the garden centre directly. I tried 3 times and nobody answer.
We are left with no lid.
