Dobbies Peterborough,

We went to Dobbies for breakfast (what a disaster ). The whole thing was cold, bacon leathery, toast was like a brick, I have allergies but was not able to exchange items. First visit for several months due to poor quality and service. Hasn't changed.

Restaurant wasn't busy, so didn't have to wait too long for food and drink.

Nice cakes reasonably priced

Enjoy going to Dobbies Garden centre, it is warm and welcoming. Staff are friendly and polite, good prices. Plenty of car parking. Restaurant is clean & Tidy staff friendly know there job.

Not impressed at till. Asked the assistant where cress growing kits were. I was told in the gardening section. Unhelpful to say the least!

We had a breakfast at Dobbies in Peterborough, (Serpentine Green), and to say it was poor is an understatement: First off, they were stone cold, the eggs were congealed and the toast was made with stale bread. Very poor indeed, not like it was cheap either!

The ladies toilets are in an awful state, as they have been for quite some time now. Some cubicles are shut off with sticky tape, others are locked from the inside. There was a big queue today but only 2 apparently in use. There is never any soap in the dispensers and the whole area is grubby and run down. Shame.

Christmas sale - lots of good value

Helpful members of staff, whether in the restaurant or garden centre or checkout. That was very pleasing.

Visited Peterborough Dobbies for the festive afternoon tea as pre Christmas treat and surprise for my in-laws only to be very disappointed.
We were one of two parties having the teas but sat right next to each other with no privacy when there was plenty of space to be seated on another table.
Food..... It certainly didn't look like the size and quantity advertised on the board outside The 3 finger sandwiches each were certainly that, very very thin finger sandwiches. Mine still had partial crust on.
Scones..I think were home made. Mine and my husband's were very small and looked like they may have been used up from the mixture left from the bigger ones. Top tear....shop bought mince pies as were the 4 macaroons. Small pastry with cream and less than a quarter of a strawberry.
An extra sandwich would have been better and one less cake.
Didn't want to complain at the time as didn't want to upset my in laws as it had been a treat.
Very very disappointing for the price we paid. Certainly not worth the money and didn't feel special.
Bonus....the waitress was very attentive and nice.

I love all Dobbies stores I have visited and most of the staff are just lovely, but the Peterborough store is starting to look a bit tired and when are you going to do something about the toilets? I mentioned these on my previous review.

Lunch was fine and the shop was easy to move around. Unfortunately the toilets were disgusting.

Could there be two queues one for the food and one for drinks the queue would have moved a lot quicker

I guess it’s a very nice shop. Staff are good and good offers.
