Honestly, I wouldn’t have given a single star in this rating, if it was possible.
Obviously, I’ve learnt the hard way, what you pay for, is what you get!
Absolutely, poor quality wooden doors.
My joiner, fitted double doors and straightaway it was observed that one of the doors was warped.
The doors arrived and were stored, as instructed by DirectDoors, laid flat on my living room floor, prior to my joiner attending my address.
Apparently, I failed to read the instructions, that they sent… according to DirectDoors, I should have had my joiner, trim the doors to fit and then hang them. Then he should have removed the doors immediately, so that I could ‘treat’ them to prevent the wood from warping…
Unfortunately, they claim that the wood must have ‘warped’ in the 30 minutes between my joiner finishing and me painting the doors…
Sadly and with the deepest of regret, they now claim that any so called ‘warranty’ is void.
DirectDoors ‘customer service’… if it can be called that… refuse to accept responsibility for the very poor quality doors received, which is reprehensible.
I have gone to the extent of providing photographs of my defective doors, and documentation to confirm just how long it actually takes wood to warp… however, they refuse to take ownership for there products.
I partially blame myself in that I should have paid for better quality wooden doors…
I’m now left with double dinning room doors that don’t close correctly…

Buy elsewhere…don’t bother with the substandard, inferior and shabby products.

very good service from Direct Doors - they picked up an error I had made in ordering enough handles and sorted it with me very quickly. Our property is hard to find and not very accessible and they liaised with the courier who were fantastic - we often have problems with supplier and courier not communicating but this was faultless. We like the doors as well ! And very good delivery lead time. All accurate. Would highly recommend

Easy ordering process. Delivery arranged to our convenience. On the day of arrival the driver called prior to delivery giving us a estimated time of arrival which was really helpful

Really easy to order and it came when stated so no hassle in having to hang around waiting. As the fire Door was fitted nearly 15years ago it was amazing to still find the correct threshold bar.

Very heavy solid oak door

We have recently converted a garage into a home office and ordered what we thought were solid oak external doors from this company. They were fitted and stained following the instructions. It turns out they were veneer and the Ronseal product used made the veneer split and warp. They leak around the glass pains. There was nothing in the instructions to warn against this product and DirectDoors have denied all liability referring to small print saying that all customers should ring the manufacturer of the treatment before applying! Indeed it wasn't even clear they were veneer. These Cottage oak doors were clearly not fit for external use and the instructions were poor. The company's customer service was appalling and they have attempted to blame us for their poor quality product and refused to give a refund or replacement. It took weeks to get a response and they kept asking for more information to try to find an excuse to avoid liability. The doors were £1700. We will be reporting them to trading standards. Do NOT buys doors from here.

The website is good and the descriptions are excellent. I was able to select what I needed and have the items delivered without issue or delay.

Was delivered in time to requested instructions. Great quality doors and furniture. Have dealt with DD before and will continue to do so in the future.

Ordered and paid for a door in October and we still haven’t received. We were originally told November, then December and now after I had to call to chase that it won’t be delivered now until January. We were also told we couldn’t get money back as it’s a bespoke door so now just have to wait. Such poor customer service from managing expectations to lack of communication to getting the impression they just don’t care now they have our money.

This is the second door I have brought form you and the service is always really good
trying to deliver the door at a time that suits us

From ordering to delivery the service is 1st class. The two doors ordered are quality products. I would definitely recommend this company.
