So very disappointed but not surprised inworth ethic or customer service. Ordered items for home delivery, twice I was contacted by to be told to pick up my parcel that same day from there office. Not delivered to my home address!!! Thought that's what the whole point of home delivery promised. One item actually got sent back as I wasn't quick enough.
Rude, miserable staff were not bothered threw other people's packaging around looking for mine, which they had 15 mins ago contacted me to come and get. Staff demanded code from me I explained I had not received a code only a telephone call too collect. I was given my parcel thankfully. I hope my next home delivery is not picked up by DHL EVER.
Totally useless, they ask for document "A" to clear customs, then ask for document "B" then document "C" then document "D" or "E" So when I supply "D" they ask for "E" I told them I would supply it in a few days, now they tell me the application to get my property was negative. Totally useless, DO NOT use these people. I paid them for door to door service and they have not provided that service.
I gave them 1 star because there is no 0 star . DHL Turkey is the worst shipping company around the world . I just called them and they told me my package is blocked on the custom and then hang up on my face. I called back again and said what can I do and how can I deal with that situation ? She became rude and told me she’s done with this conversation then hang up on my face again. Please guys send or receive your packages through FedEx at least there are polite and respectful.
The worst customer service you can deal with, Turkey office DHL does not care about customers at all. An important shipment can remain with them for two weeks without care.
I do not recommend working with them at all.
I have been shipping since last Monday 11.12.2023
This shipping has been pending for over a week., This means that we have important shipping papers, the shipment is stopped at the port, and we are subject to large fines.
A parcel that was supposed to reach me in 4-5 days took 2 weeks for delivery.
Also problems with returning this parcel, I’m having it for several days with no solution. DHL pickup points in Istanbul will not accept it. They ask me to travel 5 hours one way to deliver this parcel from my home.
It is not the first time I had issues with DHL Turkey.
I will simply not purchase any products/services where DHL have any courier involvement as their “services” are eating a lot of my time and resources.
I have absolutely not a single good experience with DHL. It’s always a very tiring experience with them
In case you try to make a courier appointment, and you call to call-center of dhl, and Abdullah operator ask your questions - that’s bad idea. This operator can’t ask any of your question, desinform you a lot, and he is even unavailable to make an appointment! I have no idea why this person works there. I was waiting for courier all day but he did it come to pick my parcel. Abdullah didn’t make an appointment.
Usually it’s ok but Abdullah is the most unskilled worker I’ve ever encountered there!
DHL ISTANBUL is biggest Scam. They tok our money around 2800 euro and will not even reply or help us. They gave out our part without our permission. Do NOT ship with DHL to Istanbul
paid extra for DHL express, but it has nothing to do with it's name.
2 days late before I figure out that my parcel is stuck in the customs after I called them. DHL didn't inform me nor provide any update/necessary information. using the tracking system it says on the way! that's it.
today is the 3rd day and still waiting! highly do not recommend DHL!!!
2 independent international orders from Amazon came very fast with DHL. I am very impressed by their operations. Shared tracking information was extremely accurate, and updated without any delay. Lightning fast customs clearance. The couriers were also very kind. I witnessed the most professional shipping experience. (together with FedEX)

Our goods arrive to UK next day (from Istanbul) and process is very easy. If you have large enough transactions, they also give you good rates. Overall as İlayda Promosyon we highly recommend DHL Turkey.
I have been living in Istanbul for the past 6 months. During this time I was ill three times and I could not manage this illness. I did not go to a local doctor because they overcharge people and they dont speak English so communication is difficult. The last time I was very ill with symptoms similar to the corona virus. The pharmacies here do not have excellent vitamins. So I decided to ask my brother who lives in Australia to send me good vitamins, Vitamin C, Cod Liver Oil capsules and an Immune boost vitamin. With the corona virus being harmful. I wanted to protect myself in the long term rather than always having to depend on antibiotics.
My brother lives in Brisbane so on Feb 18 he posted a a package to me with these bottles of vitamins. He sent it DHL express from a local post office in Brisbane. He sent me photos of the bottles of vitamins and the pacakge. Tracking Number-EJ 252296624AU

He also sent a number to call here in Turkey which the local post office in Brisbane gave him - +903124491000. My brother said that the pacakge will take about 4 days to arrive.
On the package is my full address in Istanbul and my Turkish mobile number.
Four days later I did not hear anything about the package. I thought that the package may arrive at the local post office in my area. So a week later I did visit this post office in Uskudar and the guy who I spoke to put in the tracking number on his computer and told me that the package is not in Turkey and maybe it will arrive the following week.
The following week I went back to this local post office and was told that I need to go to the postal head office in an area called Acibadem. So I went to this post office and they put in the tracking number in their computers and found nothing. I asked one of them to call the number my brother gave me but this number was engaged.
I spoke to another friend to call the number in Turkey and he finally said that someone spoke to him and said I need to wait another day and if I dont hear anything than I must write a petition to the head post office about the fact that I did not hear anything about the package.
I still received no sms to date or a phone call from DHL - there was no letter or note from them requesting me to come to their office.
On Wednesday 11 March I decided to visit the DHL head office

I explained to someone there about the package my brother sent me and provided the tracking number and the waybill number. Then this female staff member told that the package had arrived on 21 Feb and that they have been trying to contact me. These are lies because there are no call logs on my phone from them and neither is there an sms from them. Then she said that they were getting ready to send the package back to Australia. If I wanted the package then I would have to pay a minimum fee - 20% of the total amount of the vitamins. But they will also investigate the original price of these vitamins and charge me an amount on this. And I have to get a doctors letter from my area stating that I need these vitamins like a prescription. All of this I had no idea about at all. There is nothing on their website about this. .
So I told that I will not pay for the vitamins and will not get a doctors letter so they can send the pacakge back to Australia. Then she said I would have to sign letter confirming that I would like the pacakge to be sent back. She said she will send me the PDF letter to fill out and to send this back to her. Later that afternoon I checked my email and found that this letter stated that the package was mistakely posted to me and therefore must be sent back. These are lies! So I wrote her back and that I refuse to lie and will not sign this letter. I have not heard from her. I have no idea where the package is and I have not seen it at all since it arrived in Istanbul.
