Wait a while, wait indefinitely...
Almost 5 months since ordering a ring.. 31st of August
2024 up until the 24th of January 2025 to be delivered. Ring is definitely great/fantastic. However, beware the timeframe and lack of updates during this period were beyond anything I've experienced before, and definitely needs work.

Superior Jewelry and accessories. Amazing quality for the price too. I have occasionally bought multiple pieces over the years and they always last long and don’t deteriorate compared to other brands in the same price range. I had a slight delay with my order recently. Their customer service and response was supportive. The emails from Jane was informative and prompt. The only reason for the delay was that they wanted to make sure my order was perfect. It made me love the brand even more. 10/10 customer service
Not Happy Customer
This is company is a mess, do not order from them at all.
Company has not shipped products in the quoted lead time and customer service is unable or unwilling to provide a new ship date.
I have requested refund and waiting for their response before escalating this to Facebook, PayPal, and Visa.
I recommend that people avoid any purchase from this company.

As always with Howlet, careful workmanship is routine and incredible artistry is routine. However, in the case of this ring (Legacy Band II - M), the ring itself spins a pictorial tale of luck, life, birth, death, travel and learning eventually that (if your luck is good) you can return home, albeit as as changed person. Thanks again Howlet for the opportunity to wear a tremendous artifact, and to share in the story it tells!

Worst customer service I have ever received
I ordered an item from this company over 90 days ago and I’m still yet to receive it. Every single time I enquired about it, I received the exact same response saying “I will look into it immediately” Never Hearing anything back from them until I had to send another email asking about it and receiving the exact same response this has been going on for more than 10 weeks now. I would recommend staying far away from this company

Massive lead time
Ordered their Yellow gold signature half dome band in 4.5mm on the 3rd of June with a website claimed delivery date of 9th of July. Waited till a week after the claimed delivery date and asked for an updated ETA, generic reply of still in production. Waited another week and asked again, this time got an excuse of they were moving and this had had an impact on lead times. Waited another week and asked again as still no ETA. This time saying I was not happy and the website should be updated to reflect realistic lead times, was told the issue was being dealt with (still no ETA ) A few days later got an update that package was shipped this was now the 9th of August! Kept an eye on the tracking but seemed to be stuck at customs in the UK. Got a letter from Parcel force informing me that there out standing duty, tax and a handling fee to pay of £127 due to the ring coming from Australia and the cost of ring being over £130 odd pounds. Messaged Howlet to inform them as I had paid shipping but was told that on the website it does say that additional charges will apply for international shipping but not on the order screen you need to look hard on the website to find this. They said they look into it and get back to me, still waiting. Only reason I paid the charges was the Wife got me the band for my 40th Birthday to replace my now tired looking original wedding ring otherwise I would have got a refund. Can’t fault the ring but they really need to work on customer service.
Never did get that ring I wanted.
I ordered a ring in early April that was supposed to take 10-15 business days to produce and ship. A month after ordering, I emailed about the delay. My complaint is that the online tracking never worked, however customer service always emailed me back promptly and politely. Unfortunately, there was never any actual information given. This continued about four times. Finally after 3 months I've decided to cancel my order. I wish the company well, but this was unacceptable to me.
*UPDATE* 7-29-2024 - I just received an email out of the blue from Jana (the representative that I had spoken to multiple times). Unprompted, Jana stated that the company was very sorry for my experience and that they would ship me the ring I ordered in April. Shipping information was provided shortly after. Now, I've already been reimbursed for my purchase when I asked for a refund and cancellation (which was incredibly easy and painless). So I'm beyond impressed that A. A small company is making amends and going above and beyond. B. That Jana would even remember me. I can only imagine that Howlet discussed the issues they were having and decided to take a loss to make a 1st time customer's day. I'm very happy and impressed. I will update when I receive the ring.
Terrible quality rings
Terrible quality rings, mine snapped after 1 year. For some reference I have other silver rings that I’ve been wearing daily for 20 years and they are fine. It’s only my crooked howlet ring that has fallen apart.
Customer service was also terrible while trying to get this issue rectified. I ended up just giving up.

When you say I abused your staff are you talking about when I said “ So even though I live literally 300m from you, you are insisting I post it to you? You realise how stupid that sounds right?” if you classify that as abuse I think you need to harden up a little.
Also if you are going to use quotation mark at least get the quotation correct. Here is what I said exactly, copied and pasted from our IG conversation “ As I said in one of my previous messages, I can just drop it in your mailbox there if you want? But I’m not going to worry about it now. This terrible customer service interaction has turned me right off your brand. Instead of getting the crappy ring you sold me that snapped after 1 year fixed I’m just gunna talk sh!t about your brand to everyone I know instead”
Seems fair. Deal poorly with your customers and they will talk poorly about you.
Also you guys have photos of the snapped ring that I sent you. It’s a shame we can’t post screen shots here so we can show everyone the truth.
You won't regret it
Their reputation speaks for itself, so my review may or may not influence you to buy from them. Just let me explain, keep reading..
I bought two rings for them. The first was a gift for my Mom. I received it in a timely manner before the holidays of 2022 and the quality was superb. Mom loves it, hasn't taken it off since. The second was for me. I bought the Memento Mori coin. Again received it quick enough, there is a process with each ring they make and the shipping from Australia to the United States. The quality was exceptional, and I was happy with it. I had been wearing it for two months even while working. One day at work, my hand got caught underneath a concrete bucket, it came down on the finger i was wearing the ring. It damaged the ring, turned it oval shaped. If anything, saved my finger. I contacted CHD. Jane, their customer service rep, made the process of returning the ring so easy. I sent the ring back, they repaired and sent it back to me WITHOUT CHARGING ME. You can't beat that.
CHD is great and I'm so happy I chose their jewelry over others. Don't wait, get that ring you've been obsessing over. You wont regret it!
Quality rings amazing designs
I have purchased 2 rings from Crooked Howlet Designs. The second one was a gift from work and was a custom design.
India and the team helped me through the process with the correct size to design to finished products.
LOVE both my rings and get lots of compliments on the quality and design.
I bought the first ring opal…
I bought the first ring opal 10000148032652 as the order number reference, well RING is a good design and look GOOD but the only minus point is about size fitting, first of all, this is an Australian-based company so I think only Australian people should buy them because I'm from the UK I ordered and paid just £15 for one-time delivery and the rings was very small I returned them and paid £15 again to send Australia, again received my ring but again ring size is small, I think they sending me US SIZE RINGS. Well now I can't afford to send it back and spend £15 again, it's a costly and West of money. So honestly I don't suggest outsizing Australian customers should buy.

1. A review of your customer service IS reviewing your service. The review isn't for not taking on a bespoke order, it's for your god awful customer service (which is pretty evident in your review responses).
2. It's not unreasonable to expect a reply when you've tried to contact multiple times over the course of months. You responded to this in 11 hours!
3. It's hardly ironic, I'm perfectly fine with you not taking on bespoke jobs anymore to better handle the demand for your off the shelf products - good for you, eh? But I'm not telepathic and couldn't possibly know that because *no one would respond*!
4. If you no longer do custom work, maybe take down your 'Customs & Bespoke' page - it's literally the first option on your website under INFORMATION. howlet(dot)co/pages/chd-customs

CHD is on another level in the ring industry in Australia and probably in the world!! Ryan the owner is the legend himself, always trying to bring the best to us his customers. My experience with CHD started back in 2018 with my cushion onyx ring which love so much. After that its been a journey of discovering and buying new or uniques pieces!! some of them they are only made one time in life! How special is that!!! very special right?? The company sometimes they may delay the orders because of production matters but they always are happy to respond every email in the best way possible, big shot out to all the jewellers and the office! Great quality jewellery and unbeatable customer service
The CHD team has always been a pleasure to work with - their customer service is top notch. I genuinely feel like the team cares deeply about their creative vision and how to serve their most active and loyal customers in a way that is meaningful to us. The jewellery is always high quality and makes me feel special every time I put it on. My most recent order was a bespoke family signet ring. The team was extremely patient in taking on my feedback and editing the design until I was satisfied with it. If any delays occurred, they were proactive and upfront in their communication style to set expectations properly. I feel that their prices are quite reasonable, especially when considering the experience as a whole (unlimited edits for my bespoke piece before the design is finalised, amazing responsive and quick customer service, amazing quality jewellery, etc.). All of my experiences with CHD have been very positive and I enthusiastically recommend them to jewellery lovers everywhere.
Best Jewellery Company out
All of my rings come from these guys, you can always trust that they'll be fantastic quality. It does take more time than other places where they've pumped out all these subpar quality rings that sit around, but so it should really. It feels so special that each ring is specifically made to order and gets quality controlled (by the owner!). They also have a genuinely good loyalty program that I haven't found anywhere else, and they really care about their customers. They put out interesting, unique designs and when I wear my rings or necklaces I'm always bound to get people complimenting me and wanting to see them closer. Whenever I've had any questions or issues I'll always get a quick response and follow up, you can tell they really care. Plus, on more than a few occasions the owner and team will consult customers on what they want and crowd source a ring design - genuinely don't know what other company would do this on the regular. Cannot speak highly enough of these guys. They do cost a bit more and take more time than we as customers might be used to now with all the Amazon/etc type companies, but if you want something that is made by hand with the attention to detail and care of old then they're a bargain.
Phenomenal Customer Service and Amazing Quality
I've been a customer of CHD for years now. Their products are always top quality and their customer service is absolutely phenomenal. It takes a while after ordering for me to receive my order because I'm in the UK and their products tend to be made to order. But they are well worth the wait and the quality is second-to-none.
