My boots arrived the day after I ordered them. Love the quality of the leather, the boots are beautifully made. They fit exact to my usual show size in length of the shoe, but is a little too tight over the foot and around the ankle, so I would recommend ordering a size up if you have wide feet.

I bought a pair of Cotswold Stowell Waterproof (labelled as such) shoes size 12 Dec 2023. I started to use them Jan 2025.
I have never hiked in them. I usually only drive in them and if I had done 15 miles total walking on pavements and shop floors in that time then I would be amazed.
Last week, I went out in the moderate rain (with umbrella) and walking a mile on pavement, found my right foot squelching and left foot wet.
On examining the right shoe, I found some wear mid sole. There also appeared to be a hole. In addition, the shoe upper had started to separate from the sole (inch or so). Not so waterproof. Left has less wear but clearly must be holed to wet my foot.
On lifting the inner sole, there is a plastic spring support rather than full sole. Hence any damage to outer sole is going to give you wet feet!
Normally, the way I tell that I need to change walking shoes is when the laces break when tying them up. Here, there is no damage to them (give you 1* for that).
Got these in sale from Cotswold for £20. Still the WORST trainer/walking shoe in 50 years of purchasing them! DON'T BUY!!!!!

I purchased a pair of walking boots from a retailer in a sale at the end of November last year. I only began wearing them in October this year — they've been worn maybe a dozen times and still look brand new. However, both soles have now detached, clearly due to adhesive failure.
I contacted Cotswold for advice, not to request a refund or exchange, but simply to ask what adhesive would be best to repair them and to offer feedback. I was shocked by the response. Before I could even explain why I was calling, I was bluntly told that nothing could or would be done and to contact the retailer. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was again dismissed and told the boots were likely made under license by another manufacturer.
Most disappointingly, I was told that Cotswold “don’t need or want feedback” — a statement that completely contradicts the values they promote on their website. I wasn’t asking for compensation, just basic courtesy and advice.
The lack of manners and professionalism was staggering. I expected better from a brand that claims to care about quality and customer experience. I won’t be buying from Cotswold again.

Was very pleased with boots ordered quick efficient service would certainly order from this company again

Great price and will do the job plus light so brill for long walks with dog will buy again but go for next size up as really neat but OK

Extremely unhappy first order from the company the boots I ordered were meant to be two tone but have the completely wrong ones will not be shopping again at this website as they clearly don’t have a clue how disappointing it is when you pay for something you do not receive and I better get a free returns label as this is not the customers fault but due to the company

My experience with placing, receiving and getting a refund for my order was very good, quick turnaround and resolution. I just wish the product was as good, both my ankle boots split within 3 months. Cant fault customer service though.

I bought a pair of Cotswold walking shoes sometime ago and after very little use both shoes have split where the upper meets the sole. They were sub standard and not fit for purpose. Cotswold did not deny this but I was subsequently stonewalled by its customer service department. A company to avoid?

Bought cotswold wellies from moles County store they lasted 11 months before falling apart, letting water in, splits in the rubber. So kindly cotswold shoes replaced under their 12 months policy.
The new pair lasted 14 months before falling apart, £79.99 wellies. I'm a farmer and these wellies are definitely a load of rubbish. Avoid if using daily.

I’ve had a pair of Cotsworld Chelsea Boots for over a year and the things are nearly indestructible. They’ve been up Mt Snowden, the sea of Pembrokeshire and battered on hundreds of dogs walk and are still waterproof and comfy. So much so that I had to order another pair, but the ones I wanted were out of stock. Emailed customer service and got a friendly reply from Lydia within 24 hours who told me when the boots will be back in stock. Cannot rate Cotswold Shoes enough!

Very pleased with my boots,ordered one day here the next, so super fast with delivery. They look nice on , now I need to road test them. So far so good ! Thank you Cotswold shoes
