Issued expired medicine. The antibiotics medicine is issued it is already expired three months back. The funny part is that pharmacist also check and signed it.

Why doesn't this chemist open weekends large estates like this needs to .Lived up here only 6 weeks didn't know this situation

Absolutely joke of a place. Inept staff and a pharmacist with an attitude problem. Avoid at all costs
They most likely want have what u require anyway. They never do

The West Byfleet branch fails to meet the needs of the community by not opening Saturday and Sunday and closing for an hour for lunch. The range of products offered are way below what is expected and limited to just medical needs. Where are the shampoos, nappies etc etc. This outlet is living in the 1950s. We shall be pressing for another pharmacy and if necessary the revocation of Cohens licence here.
Reading other reviews there is a boiler plate response to each complaint from the company demonstrating there is no proper consideration of the issues raised.

I have given one star as that’s the minimum aloud. I ordered 7 items on prescription from my GP on the 24.12.25. I went to pick these up on the 27.12.25 from Otley Cohens chemist. I was given one back of items. When I got home I noticed only two items of what I had ordered. I assumed it was possibly the mistake of my GPs as Cohens had not said they had another bag of items which were delivered to them at the same time as the first bag. I GP confirmed they had sent the prescription to Cohens with the requested seven items. I went back to Cohens on the 2.1.26. The lady looked around the shop having viewed the information on their system. Eventually she brought another bag from the back saying they had become separated. This bag was in their store at the time I went to pick up on my first visit. There was no explanation as to how this was not given to me at the first visit. I said the words that I was disappointed as I had missed taking important medications. A blonde haired lady stood behind the serving lady who I was not in conversation with said “if you don’t like the service you can go somewhere else” That’s an horrendous thing to say to a customer at anytime. What motivates an assistant of a chemist to say such an abhorrent statement to a customer when it was they who had messed up. This lady should not be working in a customer faced position being that rude and nasty to an elderly customer just wanting their medication. I have since taken my custom to Boots. Train your staff in better customer service Cohens without customers you don’t have a business. I will report this to my GP surgery too. I am quite shocked with her response to be honest.

I would just like to commend the great service that I have always received from Cohen’s Chenist Liverpool Argyle St.
Whilst the pharmacists seem to change regularly, the pharmacy assistance team are always incredibly helpful, kind and patient.
I’ve been going through quite a health challenge this year and helpfulness and ‘can do’ attitude of the STAFF at the Argyle Street branch has been very much appreciated. It often not particularly the dispensing of medications, whilst this is important, it’s how the staff help and support people. So a very big thank you and shout out to the Argyle Street branch of Cohens Liverpool.

I started with symptoms of a uti on Monday, I clicked on their app my antibiotics and was rejected and called back to say I can’t have them, really struggled to understand what I was being told but I have a kidney transplant and had an agreement with my consultant and gp that when I get symptoms I’m to order cefalaxyn immediately to prevent me going into hospital for Christmas this time.
I managed to sort the meds with my dr but I’m now 5 days into a uti and feel so poorly I now think I’ll have to go to a&e and spend Christmas Day in Manchester royal infirmary! I have a son who might be without his mum opening his presents.
I know my own body and the amount of red table after red tape is getting ridiculous.

Cohen's Chemist in Salford Langwothy Road. The pharmacists are extremely helpful and professional. They always give the right advice. I’ve sent my son on several occasions for different issues, and they were always supportive and knowledgeable. I will definitely continue to use this pharmacy.

The price point of Cohens i feel is slightly over the national average. Quality of stock is good but kindly bring it to within the national average for same branded products.

I went to collect my percription today at Cohens Chemist Brinnington.
I was served by Michelle who was very helpful.
1 of my items was not available but in transit due within the hour.
I was given the option to wait.
Whilst doing so Michelle asked me when I had last had my blood pressure checked.
It had been sometime, so I had it done .
Then I had my flu jab .
When we had finished the delivery had arrived.
I came away with my medication & my winter flu prevention.
It was a pleasure. Very helpful friendly customer service.

Mel in Knutsford pharmacy went above and beyond. She told me what to speak to the doctor about and that my baby needed an appointment. I was really grateful. Back that day with a prescription and she remembered us. Amazing service.

Awful. I put in a request for a nasal spray and they didn't have it. I ran around for 2 days until I rang another chemist, Formans and it was n my doorstop in an hour. Over the years I have had other issues like medication not arriving and I changed my chemist and had good service somewhere else. Today the gp sent my prescription by mistake to cohens. I was waiting for it and I criticised cohens to another customer. She was an elderly lady who was upset her meds still hadnt arrived. I spoke very quietly but the pharmacist heard me and refused to give me the meds. I had to go back to my doctor and had a lot of hassle before Formans got the prescription. Formans in Prestwich are great. They deliver. Cohens delivered once in 40 years.

I've been using this branch for the last ~7 years to collect my prescriptions. During this time I've consistently found the operation chaotic. Bags of medications cover counters and floor and despite a "ready-for-pickup" SMS the staff frequently struggled to find the mediation the same day.

The process of finding orders is frustratingly inefficient: the staff look up the order on the PC, then sort through papers, followed by drawers before asking others for help. At my most recent visit I waited 17 min before being told that they couldn't find the order, instructing me not to come back until I receive another SMS. When I reminded them about the SMS I already received, the staff replied that they are not responsible for what their central office sends out. Out-of-stock medications and partial fulfilment occur regularly enough to be disruptive.

On the positive, none of my ~70 prescriptions from this branch contained wrong meds, and on the two occasions when I received fewer tablets then prescribed the pharmacy acknowledged the mistake and corrected it. The dispensing staff seem professional but the front-of-house team appears undertrained and affected by high turnover — I don't remember ever having seen the same faces twice. The overall impression is of a branch struggling with basic organization and communication, which makes what should be a quick collection unnecessarily slow and frustrating.

First visit to Cohen's pharmacy ulverston , which was busy dispensing,folk queuing,fair enough,but lacking communication,with side room marked flu jabs,but not clear about to check in , plenty of staff but need better approach.general treatment good, thanks

I called into Cohens Chemist, Market Street, Hoyland, Barnsley to collect my prescription. The staff reminded me that my flu jab was due and I could have it there and then. The staff there are absolutely brilliant. So welcoming and supportive. Great experience again. Well done to the team.

went for my appointment for covid flu jab at Fairfield drive Garforth, and waited and waited, after half a hour i went to desk only to be informed they had no record of my appointment owing to their being 2 booking systems being used, after going back home and bringing photograph on my phone of booking appointment, i had to battle with them to obtain my vaccinations, like previous posts regarding cohens appointments, i will not be usiing them again as the assitant was both unhelpfull and petulant and treat customers as fools.

The entire staff at my local pharmacy in Rishton are in desperate need of some serious Customer Service Training. A visit there is far from a pleasure.

I turned up 5 minutes before my flu jab appointment at Cohens Levenshulme Barlow Road. I was kept waiting half an hour then the pharmacist gave priority to some random who turned up without an appointment. She knew I had an appointment and had been waiting but saw him first. What is the point of booking if you get better service just turning up?
The other thing is that the shop is full of people collecting their prescriptions, whereas normal people get theirs delivered. So when you eventually get to the counter, you say you've got an appointment, then they don't even take your name, they just tell you to take a seat. So you end up waiting in line on a first-come-first-served-basis, even though you have an appointment. It's infuriating.
It's an absolutely disgraceful service. I'm very disappointed. Avoid.
So, I got my jab at my local gp's flu clinic. There was no waiting, no fuss, no unnecessary questions. It was super-quick, efficient and friendly. Highly recommended!
