Amateur strength sprays give you some armoury but have no residual and should be matched with powders to give you some residual. Call the office and we will explain. However, bed bugs are notoriously difficult to get rid of even with professional strength products. They are very nocturnal, very diffitul to find and direct hit, the adults can be resistant to the residuals of even the best professional strength products let alone the much weaker amateur strength products which I presume you have purchased, and the eggs are not killed by insecticide and therefore keep hatching post treatment, and you are thus 100% relying on the residuals. We have a division that specialises in bed bug treatments, we know what we are talking about, and there are a number of options. If the infestation is long standing and you are unlucky with the strain of bed bugs you have, even professional strength insecticide might not work and we may have to talk to you about heat treatment.

The customer booked a two-room insecticidal treatment for bed bugs. One bedroom and the lounge. We explained, as we always do, that we advise two visits about 2.5 weeks apart, as there will be many eggs that will keep hatching and the gestation time can be longer than the residuals are realistically active for. The customer insisted on one treatment only. We talked through the preparation required at length, as we always do, as bed bugs are very difficult to get rid of and the prep is very important.The technician (John, RSPH Level II) attended as planned. Only one of the two rooms had been prepped. The other was full of clutter. The technician explained to the customer, quite rightly, that it would not be worth treating the lounge because we could not be able to carry out a thorough insecticidal treatment at ground level due to all the clutter. The customer was not happy with this, but the technician did the right thing. The cost of the treatment was thus negotiated down. The treatment went ahead then in the very small bedroom which had almost nothing in it apart from a bed. The insecticide was prepared prior to entering the room and the technician wore full PPE and informed the customer that they could not be in the room during the treatment, as he must do. The customer was not happy with this. However, the technician quite rightly insisted, as we would be breaking the law if we allowed a customer to be in a room that was being treated with insecticide. The treatment of this very small room with the insecticide took ten minutes, not five, and was very thorough. The technician was on site for 43 minutes. The technician has acted professionally and correctly throughout. The customer may well still have insects. However, as we always explain if the infestation is well established there will be many eggs and bugs in places we can't direct hit them, and we therefore rely on the residuals left behind. For these to work, the customers need to keep sleeping in their beds to draw the bugs out over the residuals, as we always explain. Whether they do or not is out of our hands, as is how well they do the prep. This is a very unfair review indeed. We have a division of our company that specialises in bed bug eradication and we very much know what we are doing, and always make a point during the booking process of finding out about the infestation, advising accordingly and stressing the difficulties getting rid of this particular insect and the need for thorough prep and help from the customer to give the process the very best chance. The very next job this technician carried out, we had a call in the office to say what a brilliant job he had done and how informative he was.

Hi Weronica

It's taken several days to get an answer from UK Mail for this one.
We received your shop order from for Insectaclear Strong Bed Bug Killer on 2nd June 2018. This item was dispatched on the same day. We then received an email on the 10th June from you informing us that you still hadn’t received her parcel when you had paid for next day delivery. We had also paid UK Mail for next day delivery. We looked up the consignment number up on UK Mail and the status was ‘delayed’ so we called them and they said they they would contact the depot asking them to conduct a full depot search on the requested item. They said it takes 24 hours to search the warehouses for an item. We emailed you to apologise and inform you of the current situation and you emailed back to say she would just like a full refund. UK Mail have been unable to locate the item (they have lost it). Like any company, when it comes to delivery we rely on companies that specialise in this service. We have tried all the courier companies and also tried Royal Mail and have had problems with all of them. We have refunded you and will be seeking compensation from UK Mail.

Hi Ian
Thank you for taking the time to review our services. It is frustrating for us when we offer good service and product to customers and we are let down by courier companies. We have over the years tried most of the courier companies (currently UK Mail) and had problems with all of them. We have also tried Royal Mail and had problems with them as well. The flip side is we have also had customers sign for product and then deny every receiving it. Onwards and upwards but thank you for your understanding...
