scum wont answer phone paid over $5000 and now it is useless as virgin can't do anything without them reissuing the tickets

My sincere advice is NEVER BUY TICKETS from this company. I've been waiting for my refund for more than a year. Still they don't want to pay it. There has been more than 60 emails between us but every time the reply (which usually comes on their sweet own time) is a standard one (as if it is auto generated or may be cut/copy/paste reply) that "They are chasing the money with the airlines". But when checked with the airlines, they stated that all refunds has been processed to the respective travel agents.
The way I'm feeling is I've been robbed.
I really wanted to give a big fat negative star but since I don't have that option I'm giving 1 star.
Please DONOT have any transaction with CMF.

I am really disappointed with their service because they are not providing a formal receipt and also they are not responding to a phone call as well as to an email. It is very hard to reach out them

Booked my flight through them in 2019 for travel in March 2020. Due to Covid, flights got cancelled. They said since my tickets were on sale and were non refundable, I could not ask for a refund but could get flight credit.
Since last year, I have been trying to use my flight credit and rebook my tickets but no success.
I have been contacting them to book my tickets for Apr this year, no reply whatsoever. I am lodging a formal complaint, if I don't get a satisfactory reply from them I will contact AFTA.

Hi everyone, just to let you know that I was in the same boat as most of you waiting nearly too years to get my refund. Today it arrived in my bank account. I had given up hope of ever getting it back. I'm still never using this company again.

Worst agent ever, no customer service. Flight got cancelled due to COVID. 2 tickets never got refunded or got voucher for it. going back and forth with customer service and reaching no where. Malaysian airlines on their webpage listed that they have offered refunds but this agent hasnt done anything just hoarding peoples money

I am in the same boat as everyone else . Since June 2019 I have been waiting for my refund of $3200. The lies this company gives saying your refund is being processed. The response is generic and very robotic. It’s like talking to a computer. Their reason for the delay in processing refunds is according to them due to Covid. Seriously. How hard is It to process a refund and deposit into our account . It doesn’t take over 2 years to process despite the backlog of claims . I believe the airlines have refunded the money to this agency and they are holding onto all our monies making a killing with all the interest they are earning . I have tried reporting them however the response I got was don’t bother if it’s regarding a refund . Honestly unless doing a class action law suit against this company I don’t know what else to do . They are scammers and spread the word to everyone to never use this company ever.

Is there any way as a group, we can get help from Consumer affairs? Probably not or this company would have been closed down.
Despite many attemps, no refund, no service and no help. I will never use an online agent again. Stick with the airlines direct to avoid the "third party" duck shoving.

After almost 18 months, still waiting for my refund. I spent $ 4.400 dollars buying two tickets with Check my fares and I didn't receive absolutely nothing back. Terrible customer service, just automatic responses. Please, if you are reading my review, don't buy absolutely nothing with them. They are a fake company.

Waiting on my refund since 2019. Lets get together if anyone else in the same boat and take some sort of legal action against this company.. we have better chances to get our hard earned money back together as one.

I am so sick of this company I want my money back and constantly telling me the same bull dust every email it’s processing! I am now taking this further because I want the money back ! I have lost a good chunk of cash over this . 2019 it’s now 2021 !!!! Almost 2022 never again dealing with this agency again

Got absolutely ripped off by these scammers! Had flights booked in March/April 2020 and I’m still waiting for my refund despite constant emails enquiring with them. Do not book with this company, they will take your money and offer no refund despite a Global Pandemic!

Fraud alert 🚨 this site is scamming people in the name of airline ticket purchase, I bought my ticket for June 2020 flight and my tickets got cancelled by the airline in March due to covid. It’s been 1.5 years I have been chasing them for refund , all I get was same reply “that your refund is in process, please take this email as confirmation that we have escalated this to higher department” , but on other end this site has changed their website interface withholding people’s money and it looks brand new. I made a big mistake by booking my ticket through this site. I am not sure whether I will get back my money or not. They are sucking people’s hard earned money for their own benefit. If someone is following on their money like me , please reach out to me and we can be together as one team and report in news / agency against these looters.

Kindly help me out if you got any other way to get the money from these guys.

This agency is totally double standard. As I read through the comments, seems most of the complaints are responded with " working on the refunds" .
I must be the unlucky one that my two tickets purchased in Dec 2019 are not refunded and was told that according to the airline policy, there will be no refunds given and the travel credit will be limited to the same flight route. This is absolutely rubbish as the no refund policy is only be applicable when the traveller cancel the flight whereas this flight cancellation is coming from the airline itself. Most of my friends who bought their tickets directly with the airline has already received refund last year so the issue lies with CMF. Please respond asap to my case as this time I won't hesitate to file a complain to VCAT.

Still awaiting my refund even though Sri Lankan Air have affirmed that the refund has been made. Why are we still awaiting our money to be processed. All I am being told by email is that we are in the refund process and our money will be refunded as soon as possible. Just like everyone else here why is this still taking so long and why are we being fed all these complete lies

I bought tickets March od 2020 and due to COVID time I request my refund. I did get it yet.

I have spoken by email with Mae (customer care) and Ian. They always give me the same answer… my money is not already yet. I have seen my friends get money back form Qantas but not me.
I will leave Australia soon also I have to cancel my bank account here. I have the feeling that I really lost my money with checkmyfares. I am extremely disappointed with this company. To be honest I never though of passing this situation that I am leaving now, however, I promise and swear to God, I will speak to my lawyers for the purpose of not only getting my money back but the money with late interest and your disrespect to a customers.
Of course, I will not recommend this company to any friends, and I will do my best to share on social media my terrible experience that I am having with.

Same here.. bought the tickets for my whole family Sept 2019 for March 2020 flight. Already confirmed to get the refund minus the cancellation fees back on May 2020. But never received the refund until now. Have checked the airlines directly and it was confirmed that they have returned the money back to CMF on Sept 2020 and I have prove of the receipt from the airlines. Been emailed them without any luck at all.
For people with the same boat with me, please join Adam Glezer Facebook as he is the right person to fight for us. I have been wanting to find the others that using CMF and not received the refund. So we can group together.

Just want to ask is there way we can get our money back from these ***** . Absolute terrible people and definitely going to do a podcast and a big review on the YouTube . These useless people have been sending same automated emails for more than a year . Can we take them to fair trade . I know many more are stuck like me .. we need to get our money back
