The worst app ever. Why would you ever pay for the premium service.....shocking !!!

This is the worst T.V. app. Anytime you leave (usually because it has somehow frozen on an advert) you come back into the programme and get another 3 and a half minutes of adverts again, when you just watched them! Then you scroll to the end of the credits to get the 'watch next episode ' button but somehow you're watching another 3 and a half minutes of adverts.
I only use channel 4 to watch Pottery Throw Down and once this series is over that's it for me. I looked at reviews of paying for 'advert free' watching but apparently it is not much better. Channel 4 are not clear about how much time you still watch adverts for after you've paid.
The app often doesn't load onto the TV and gets stuck.
Also Channel 4 if anyone is reading this WE MUTE THE ADS anyway so it all feels like a big waste of time.
Watching Channel 4 is a very frustrating experience and I think I'm going to use my time in a better way.

The programs are great. However the app is very glitchy. Ever since I started using it I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app every time I go to use it, just to get it to work.

The worst app for TV, constant issues. Dont know how its possible for channel this big to be so incredibly bad. Its actually laughable how little they seem to care about it.

I have just watched the second series of Patience and I have to say it must be one of the best dramas on TV.

The level of advertising destroyed the viewing experience. Tried to watch the show "dirty business" but the constant excessive advert interruptions made it impossible to follow this extremely important program. I've vowed not to watch anything else on this awful streaming service sadly.

The advert spacing is a complete joke, 5 mintes of advert then sometimes just 5 minutes of the show before another 5 of adverts! Last 3 minutes of a show... adverts. Comepletely ridiculous, boycott this app

I recorded Patience series 1 & 2 some time ago and stared to view it recently. I found it fantastic and could not stop watching it. Ella Maisy Purvis was excellent in her role and I hope that a 3rd series will be made. I do not normally provide feedback on TV programmes but on this occassion just had to say how great it is,

good series, i was watching dexter, but seriously every 10 minutes there’s another 3 minute add. it’s a joke. i can’t watch a full episode without getting atleast 3-4 of them adds.

I don't mind advertisements, but the quantity of gambling adverts is worrying and not something I think Channel 4 should be encouraging.

Trying to watch a drama on channel 4 but have given up due to the repetitive and irrelevant advertising. Giving up and returning to Netflix

Given up streaming anything on ch4 as the adverts are ridiculous to the point of not a very good viewing experiance, im guessing i could pay to get without ads but why should i??

If I could give zero i would. 4 minutes of adverts every 3 minutes of program. End up falling asleep 3 nights in row just trying to watch one episode. If im honest cant be bothered to watch anything on 4 again. Would take 2 hours to watch an hour with the endless adverts. I counted 7 adverts in 1 advert break. Ridiculous. Who on earth would continue?

More adverts than TV programme and the unreliable app never fails or buffers for the ads whilst frequently failing when the programme starts. The "12 minutes of ads per hour" ofcom rule doesn't apply to online or catch-up, and Channel 4 seem to have taken this completely to heart. We recently watched 6 minutes of programme before having to endure 6 minutes of ads (including sponsorship and trailers). So Channel 4 has decided it's okay to broadcast as many ads as programmes. We thought we'd give the paid ad-free version a try, and when we pressed play the first thing we saw was an advert. After Googling it we found the ad-free version still shows "some" ads so we deleted the app. There's just too many good alternative platforms who even seem to get the same programmes over time. We even found the same programme we were watching on a different ad-free platform.

Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I watched one episode of peep show and it started with 3 mins of adverts, 5mins in the middle and 4 at the need disgusting. Like I’m gonna buy anything from watching an advert clowns

Channel 4 certainly knows how to ruin a TV programme with 4 1/2 minutes of adverts after 4 minutes of a programme. Makes the experience unwatchable. Utter contempt for viewers. Garbage channel

I have an account with Channel 4. I watch it on my Amazon TV, via the Channel 4 app.
I had an email today from Channel 4, letting me know that my account is going to be closed, because I have not watched Channel 4 for 2 years. That cannot be true, because I have not had my Amazon tv for as long as that. Yet I have the Channel 4 app on it, which I have been using to watch films.
I find it both insulting and upsetting that I am told that I am a liar. I am not that sort.
If Channel 4 wish to cancel my membership, then they can do so. There are plenty of other apps installed on my TV.
But I wish they would not send me notifications which are so untrue, and can easily prove to be so.

Far too many advertisements. Have given up watching Patience. The drama is lost because the same ad is shown over and over again. When there is so much on offer from multiple channels why would I put myself through this. The program is excellent but all these ads are rubbish.

Rubish rusbish rubish. Dont waste your time.
