The shop staff were very helpful and efficient. What stopped me from giving 5 stars were the samples that I ordered. One which I was particularly interested in was completely different to the sample I'd seen in store. I took it into the store and confirmed it wasn't anything like the actual style.

Update: Carpetright went belly up two days later so I have no flooring

I walked into the store at Barnstaple and dealt with an assistant who was surly and uninterested and over charged me by £150 pound till I pointed out his mistake. I had my carpet selected and the size written down all he had to do was take my money. For this I was charged a £5 consultancy fee!! The carpet finally arrived 2 weeks later at 6pm and was ragged, folded flat instead of rolled and obviously had things on top of it causing creases which are still there. I probably will not use their services in the future as I am not surprised they are going out of business, still a new broom sweeps clean and things may change under new ownership.

Easy access to the shop. Lots of choice and reasonable prices. Pleasant, helpful staff.

The fitter was extremely helpful and it looks lovely so was the people in the shop. I recommend them had no problems at all.

I was served by a young man who was polite and friendly and understanding (I have MND and cannot talk). Nothing was too much trouble for him

I went to carpetright on a recommendation. When I arrived, I chose the products I wanted and was assured they would be fitted before I moved into my new home on 29th April
which gave them 10 days to arrange fitting. wanted to pay cash but was told their systems were down and therefore would have to wait for a visit to my home by one of their employees who was bringing a card machine. I received the first email with a day for fitting, and on that day was phoned by Matt, the manager that the carpet fitters had neglected to renew his licence . This was the first of three cancellations, the last being an hour before they were due. By this time, I was angry at being fobbed off time after time and therefore made the decision to cancel the order. I had to drive 9 miles to the store for the refund and was not received that well. Consequently, I then had to go to another store, this time one I trusted to choose more flooring which incidently was ordered, paid for and fitted within two days, and very professionally I might add. I wasted 10 days trying to get flooring laid and most certainly would never go to carpetright again, or indeed would not recommend them

Provided excellent advice and offered other options that were possibly more appropriate for my application.

The lady who came out to measure up was very efficient and knowledgeable.

Ben and Jordan arrived on time after great communication so I knew when to expect them. Were polite and ffriendly getting on with the job leaving everything spotless once done. Great pair of lads doing a great job

Excellent job done laying two carpets. Hoovered took away the waste we didn't want!! Good communication from Ben and Joran too about what time they would be arriving, we'll done lads

We've used CarpetRight many many times over the years. Huge selection..always going to find the carpet you want, even if you don't know what you're looking for but you'll know it when you see it!!!!! Helpful knowledgeable staff and NO sales pressure

Whole process was very quick and easy to order but organising the fitting has not been so easy. I was first given a date of the 30th April, then I had a call changing it to the 8th April (which worked better for me as its a holiday cottage and we have to get it ready for guests) then today I had a call saying its scheduled for the 15th and 16th April. This is ridiculous. He now says he will have to check with the manager.

Tim was very helpful, made choosing simpler. Organised paperwork and surveyor promptly.. Look forward to the fitting. (4th time buyer at Carpetright, always an excellent choice)

I phoned barnstaple store to be told they could send another fìtter to cut some off the bottom of the door.
Which will cost me £25.
After paying £1,153

Very simple experience chap in the shop was very helpful explained everything.
