It ended well for me thanks to Stephanie. She agreed to accept a digital copy of my wife's death certificate along with the paper title and a paper copy of my wife's will as she and I were both named on the car title. Our local public TV and radio stations often ask for car donations. The process was daunting but well detailed and as I no longer need a car I was eager to get rid of the expensive maintenance, registration and insurance. I was pleased to learn of the refunds for unused registration and insurance from my state DMV and car insurance company, respectively. I expect over five hundred dollars combined, a reminder of all the incidentals of car ownership. For a twenty year old currently dead Prius, my dearly departed wife's last car, that's the best deal I could get anywhere.

Everyone was personable and professional. Though it did take two trips to succeed, I really feel great about our experience overall.

Turns out my hybrid vehicle was parked head first and would not start, and also could not be taken out of gear because the electronics weren’t responding. It had to be dragged onto the large flat bed truck, which was tricky to do with the narrow street and adjacent ditches.

Drivers Tony and Jose did their very best to pull every hat trick they knew to start it, but no joy. Still, everything worked out, and I sincerely appreciated having their automotive experience and driving skills at-hand onsite.

I’m confident Purple Heart picked a great partner, and that I made the right donation decision.

The gentleman was very nice and patient. He was really quick with picking up the car and loading it up and being on his way. The only issue we had was with communication on scheduling when to pick up the car but most of the time the communication was prompt and polite and helpful. Everything worked out great in the end.

I would have given five stars were it not for the problem occurring on the original schedule pickup day, last Friday. After waiting more than an hour, I contacted the transport company for a pickup time estimate. The representative put my call on hold while checking with the driver. She responded the driver said he could not pickup today. I should not have had to telephone to get this information. Someone from the company should have contacted me FIRST!
The driver left voicemail yesterday evening regarding the approximate time of arrival today. Today he was punctual, courteous and professional in picking up my

Booking an appointment was so easy and informative. I was given all the necessary contact info in case of any situation. The date for auto pickup was very prompt. The driver was courteous and helpful. He kept me informed of his ETA time with several phone calls. The whole process was awesome!
