Very good service from start to finish

Yesterday I took delivery of a washing machine from Appliances Direct. I paid extra for a 3 year warranty. Today I received this email, from a Joshua Carson of Buy it Direct. It begins:

“As discussed, we do offer a more popular alternative to the extended manufacturers cover you have opted for on your electriQ washing machine called Freedom.

The Freedom cover would only be £5.99 per month, this includes;
Breakdowns caused by mechanical faults or failures
Breakdowns caused by electrical faults or failures
Breakdowns caused by accidental damage
Parts, labour and callout fees are all covered, so there are no hidden costs
If we cannot fix it, we will replace it with a brand new appliance
No contracts or tie-ins; pay as you go for as long as you like
No excess fees
The cover that you currently have in place is just a 2-year extension of the manufacturers' warranty, this only covers you for manufacturing faults or defects, any other faults would be charged at full price to repair for the labour, parts and engineer call out fees. After the extension has expired you have to pay full price for any repairs regardless of the cause of them. If the appliance is irreparable, you would obviously have to pay full price to replace it.
However, with Freedom, you can have the cover in place for as long as you like meaning you never need to buy a new appliance for the length of time you run the policy, regardless of the cause of the breakdown.
If you would like to swap over, I would refund the £95 you have paid for your manufacturers extension and the Freedom policy would run instead.

Firstly, whether any of that is true, it does not matter. I had purchased a 3 year warranty from Appliances Direct. Secondly, I never heard of that man, let alone had any discussion with him.

Let this be a warning to anyone who purchases any product from Appliances Direct: You will expect a spam email from buyitdirect and the following day. It means they somehow have means to find your details from Appliances Direct.

I have since had a reply from the company I’ve been complaining about. They want me to give personal information so that they can followthis up. But considering that the email I received was a spam email, they obviously know my email address - and are now fishing for the rest of my details. I maybe of a certain age, but I’mnot stupid - yet. I don’t trust this lot in the least.

Amazing customers service, even called up to deliver early on a different day.

Faulty item received, had to fight tooth and nail to get the return and refund we are legally entitled to. Customer service was horrendous I had to write this review.

The delivery and recovery of the old machine was fine. The fitter installed the new machine but used the hot tap to connect to the water supply. An hour after their departure, the stopcock started leaking. I do not say this was their doing. However, it does indicate that it was not very carefully checked. I had to call in a plumber to fix that problem. He also correctly installed the machine to the cold water supply.

Will use this company again, I had a call from a lady called Fiona, a few days before my delivery which was nice touch. The delivery was on time and the driver was such a lovely chap

DELIVERY DRIVER ARRIVED EARLY, PUT IN GARAGE FOR ME. HAVEN'T USED IT YET SO CANNOT GIVE REVIEW ON THE ACTUAL MICROWAVE AT THE MOMENT.

I have already filled one review of this item but to continue, the drivers were excellent and helpful and very speedy in removing the old fridge freezer. Then quickly unwrapped the new one and installed it. I’m very happy with it as it fits in nicely with the blue cabinets. I also love its retro design and so far it is working perfectly. It’s a perfect size too as I am on my own now. Overall I’m really pleased

Our Dryer died on Thursday last week. I paid Extra to have it delivered on the Sat. Time was between 1300 and 1700. The next day ( Friday ) I received a text message stating all is fine and confirming the details. I would expect a further message tomorrow to confirm they are on the way. GREAT so I thought... Sat came. 0800 I received a message saying they have warehouse issues. LOL and will not be able to deliver. I called Appliances Direct. Who ironically use the same system this company does????? I paid more!!!!! I was told it would be delivered on Monday. NOPE ... Here we are on Wednesday and it has JUST been delivered. I have not had a chance to look at it at all. They delivery driver signed his pad ( something I am supposed to do or it VOIDS my terms and conditions) and the two of them buggered off. Seriously Avoid. They are under 2 names... they other account has 1.3 stars...

MORE I was told to package it to the best I can... as it didnt come in a box... just a bubble wrap so I did the same.. but its not being collected till Monday and is sitting outside!!!!! Note these points off their website.. And I was told it is ok to leave it outside.

Please make sure the item is packaged as securely as possible, ideally in its original packaging. If you don’t have the original packaging you need equivalent packaging to help prevent damage. A box with internal packaging to keep the item secure and protect from any knocks in transit.

That means I placed my order on the 12 Mar 2026 and I might not get a refund UNTIL the 28th? They are dragging their feet, NOT me. This company is a piece of dog ...... and I can not believe they are still around.

I purchased a dehumidifier and before committing to the purchase I asked a question and the response was very quick. This answer confirmed my choice, so I made a purchase. The appliance was here within two days! It is a great dehumidifier and was a great price too! I would use Appliances Direct again. Excellent service.

To start we ordered the Hood in the afternoon and it was there next day , very good service. For the price it’s a nice little unit that looks good in our kitchen. It was easy to install except the 2 security screws are a little tricky.
