I popped into this store this afternoln as I needed help and advice with choosing a specific colour paint...I was served by a lady called Karen and I have to say she was extremely helpful. And was able to give me alot of good, useful advice.

This is not a review of our local Brewers centre who are very helpful and friendly. This is however a review of their Johnstones Covaplus trade paint which we were encouraged to buy (in an offer) for ours and my relatives houses. We bought 4x 5l tubs at quite a high cost - in different colours. The paint went on nicely but left quite a powdery finish which is incredibly easy to mark. We applied 3/4 coats and left a day between drying but even a dry cloth marks the walls, leaving us no choice but to repaint the 3 rooms in less than a month. We’re so disappointed with the quality of this paint and the response from Johstones customer service who didn’t care at all.

Great assistance in helping to choose the right colour, speedy service and the staff on the day had a sense of humour plus let us borrow the colour card for a while so we could use it to match accessories.

The staff are professional and knowledgeable and I can rely on them to give me the information/products I need. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I have been buying materials and paints from Brewers for many years. The staff are always friendly and helpful and extremely patient. If you need advice on colour matching , then this is the place to go . Cannot praise them highly enough.

ordered online checked with frinton shop after two weeks thay had not recived order checked a week later still no order the shop checked office online and told me that my order was still in purchasing this after 3 weeks the shop said thay would e-mail office and let me know what is happing thay told me that youno longer deal with this supplyer but no one informed me of this when asked for a refund was told shop cold not do it it hade to de done on line but no refund prosses had to phone customer care thay had to arrange for shop to refund me but had to go to shop as thay cold no do it over phone
