Box lunch has abysmal customer service- 2 months for an order to arrive.
Box lunch has great items but is an absolute joke of a company in terms of online orders & customer service.
My order took 2 months to arrive - it was bouncing about- Boxlunch policy is that as long as the item updates within 6/8 days then it’s not missing. This can go on indefinitely so you’ll never get a refund.
Multiple contacts with customer services and I was fobbed off repeatedly- they simply didn’t care at all.
In store I’d had a great experience and spent about $400 - online was a totally different matter and all i can say is I’m just relieved my online order wasn’t that high value. I will never order from them again!

Placed on order for a friend put all their details in and went to pay used my address as the billing address is different, they took my money and then cancelled the order due to a card issue , I then tried again using a different method again took money and cancelled order , now I’m over £200 down and have to wait for funds to be returned to my account , I’m in the UK and have been attempting to buy a gift for a friend in the USA but there is no way you can pay using a different billing address as it will fail but the money will still disappear from your account which is illegal
The workers are awesome
The prices are a bit high but they make up for it with the coupons they have the staff at the store which mine was in johnson city tn mall were awesome very helpful and ready to help. I got everything I wanted and then some haven't shopped on there online store but in store was a great experience. Thank you
Box Lunch...where do I start?
Box Lunch...where do I start?? From orders that have the "free" part of "buy two, get one free" canceled to refusing to ship from stores to home, or transfer items from store to store, this company is losing business left and right. Then add in issuing in-store money (box lunch money), yet preventing you from using that on the majority of their branded items, and you've got one serious mess. They also price items specifically so you're just shy of being able to redeem that "box lunch money" as well, example is you can redeem $20 for every $40 spent. So bags will be set at $79.90, so that you can't use two coupons on them but only 1. If that bag was just priced at $80, you could use 2 of the $20 coupons. It's a scheme, and it's stupid. I buy less because of it, and I'm definitely not the only person. Then add in their terrible inventory system, where their own customer service literally cannot see what items a store has in stock, and you have a shite company.

I've had bad experiences with HerUniverse and now BoxLunch. They don't like honoring rewards which doesn't make me want to spend any more money with them. Appreciate having my birthday ruined. Really poor customer service. To the point that they didn't even bother to apologize.
These guys are a TOTAL SCAM
These guys are a TOTAL SCAM! I got gift cards online because you got a bonus gift card with them. Great deal for the holidays, right? I then used the gift cards for a purchase and only owed a little more than $1 myself. Great! I got a gift I needed and saved money. Well days later I’m notified of the item shipping and THEY ALSO CHARGED MY CARD FOR THE ENTIRE PURCHASE COST!!! It’s like they just decided “no, we’re not gonna let her use the gift cards” and charged my card causing my account to go negative. At Christmas time. The online help was like “so sorrry, I’ll refund your shipping”. The shipping is not the problem dude! The second it gets here, the item is being returned, I’ll get (or demand if necessary) my full refund, and maybe we’ll use those gift cards again. Maybe. I would advise staying FAR FAR away from the website!!! If you have a local store, shop there instead. Unfortunately these items weren’t available in store. Never again. I’m never a Karen because why behave that way but man this situation had me wanting to be one REALLY EFFING BAD. Livid doesn’t even begin to explain how I felt.
Very poor service avoid
I ordered a few items on 11/29. The majority of the items were sent out fairly quickly. One item was showing as pending. I received the first half of the order. I patiently waited for the last item. On the on 12/11 I contacted customer service to find out what was going on with the rest of the order. They assured me that the last item would be shipped out by the end of the week. Fast forward to 12/13 I wake up to an email saying they have cancelled my order because the item is out of stock. I go online to boxlunch.com and guess what ? It's still in stock! I contacted customer service and they Ordered me a new one for expedited shipping. They said 3 days for shipping. It's now 12/16 and my item is processing again. I contacted customer service and they are just so condescending with their false apologies. I have no idea if this item will arrive by Christmas. I'm not holding my breath. This was my first experience shopping with boxlunch.com and will definitely be my last.

Nothing more than a BOGUS run operation...charged me, got no item, ask for CREDIT..got charged AGAIN...3 mos ago and still no sign of reimbursement...Can't say its the employees fault, I sat there and listened to the Mgr talk to a clown in Corporate who promised my money would be back in 5 days...Bahahahahahaha.....Thieves they are...GOOD BYE BOX LUNCH..Stay away from there...PS DO NOT EVER ORDER FUNKO POPS from them 100% lies...they don't have a warehouse...

If I could give the 0 stars I would, I ordered 18 shirts for my kids for our upcoming Disney trip and received only 5. They are refusing to reimburse me any money because they said they shipped out all 18 items even though I’ve sent in proof of what I received. Second one of the shirts I received(of the 5) was supposed to be navy and it’s black. Also I ordered size large shirts for one of my kids and you can obviously see an inch and a half difference at least in the same size. You’d find better quality from Walmart.
The sales are a lie
Bought a bunch of cute sale items online through BoxLunch, only to be charged full price! what should have been $56 turned into a $96 to my card. The items are still showing on sale on the website. I'm currently trying to contact customer service but the messaging portal has a ridiculously low character limit. I would need to send them 3 contact forms just to full explain my problem. Guess I will sit back and hope they can understand my issue in a measly 3 sentences.
I have never had issues with my HotTopic purchases in my 15+ years ordering with them but BoxLunch messed up my very first order. It's actually impressive.

This company is very bad. I returned items to the store and they only refunded me half my money.. I didn't want to bother wasting hours of my time arguing what happened for a potentialreimbursement.. If you need to make returns or anything of that nature. Stay away from this store
Avoid at all costs
I actually have only had good experiences with Hot Topic, but they also own BoxLunch and that company is a complete scam. They will issue you BL cash on your order then delete your account so you can't redeem it. Search online about how rude their customer service is, especially if you get a guy named Freddy. They engage in false advertising, but you will never get BL Cash you can actually redeem.
Really unhappy with this company
Really unhappy with this company. I wanted to purchase the Our Universe Minnie Mouse Light Up Backpack. It was on pre-order around April and there were lots of discount codes available, making it $70. I get to the checkout, enter my international shipping details (U.K.) and make the payment. Every time I tried in a different browser/on a different device it failed. I contacted customer service and they apologised and said it would be available for international delivery when it comes in stock at the beginning of May. I wait until it comes into stock and then try to purchase with a discount code. None of the previous codes worked. I contacted customer service again and they said it was an exclusive and had never been included in discount offers - which is an absolute lie. They probably made a mistake of it being included in the offers previously and cancelled any from going ahead later on. I’m really gutted and decide not to get it. A couple of weeks later, I’m still thinking about it and so decide to go ahead without any code, buying the bag for $99. I put in all my details and get an order confirmation email - and I think everything is sorted. About an hour later, I get an email from Boxlunch and my order has been cancelled. CANCELLED! The email stated it was due to not being eligible for international delivery…even though I was assured by customer services it would be! Just absolutely appalling company and glad I’m not in the USA to be tempted by any of their products. I wouldn’t touch this place with a barge pole after the lack of communication and upset. Just terrible.
Horrible policies
I ordered a shirt for my daughter and received the incorrect size. There are NO exchanges, ever. Even when it's their fault. I had to order another shirt and return the original. I also had to pay for shipping for the new item, the return, and, of course, the original item. This is all their policy! Shame on me for not reading it before I ordered.
As I write this they have still not credited my account for the return. They have had the returned item in their possession for 15 days. It is their policy, again shame on me, that they can take up to another 10 days for me to see the credit on my card. It has been a nightmare. At least the second shirt was the correct size. The shirt is nice and exactly what my daughter wanted, but doing business with this company is not worth the headache. I will not be doing it again unless they change some policies. It's not like I didn't like what I ordered. I ordered an extra small and received a medium. A sports jersey that she could wear as a dress is not of much use.

I ordered a Christmas gift for my daughter for in store pick up. It was supposed to arrive by 12/16. Today I was told one item is now out of stock and will not be here for Christmas. There really isn't anything comparable in this character, so now I have to rush to find something else. Tried customer service multiple times. All I get is sorry. We can't do anything to help.
Won’t let you cancel and shipping price only shows during transaction.
I wish I had checked this site before I ordered. Insane shipping rates that delay until when you actually hit purchase. While I was paying with Apple Pay they switched my shipping from $6 to $26 with no way to stop it, no way to cancel. Working with their support immediately after purchase they said they couldn’t cancel it and they didn’t know how. Like what kind of national online store is this? Buyer beware for sure, go in person if you really need somthing from them.
UPDATE: emailing their customer service they reduced my shipping rate which was a nice gesture. I’d still caution seeing if you can find out what your shipping is before the purchase step.

Boxlunch & Hot Topic
I'm from Canada but my orders arrive pretty quickly and in good condition too. When I went to Tennessee I went to multiple Hot Topics and found great stuff. BoxLunch was amazing too. I ordered from there to ship to my friend's house and the order came in mint condition. In both stores the folks are amazing and it gives off a nice welcoming vibe. Pricey? VERY. But that's because it's all official merch and that stuff will always be expensive. The online HT store can be wonky when popular stuff gets put up though.
