We had good verbal discussion.I was having some handling problem. No one was avaiable to talk. Appointment made after 3 days.

Shockingly bad customer care. Was sent straight into booth with the words 'we'll check your hearing and if the results aren't good we'll discuss next steps'....asked me what meds I was on..unprompted said 'no diabetes?', was told to clip hearing gadgets on and given ear buds to insert. Was told test will start in a minute. I waited. Then pressed button whenever I heard sounds. At end was told as soon as door opened that 'it's not good, you need hearing aids'. He had the chart on the screen, did not explain anything. When I begged to differ (I'd not asked for the appointment but been hounded for it by email), he shrugged and said 'well it's up to you'. I chose to leave, upset and disbelieving. On my arrival at home I checked on NHS website for what levels of hearing loss definitely needed hearing aids and followed link to RNID website where you can test your hearing at home. Popped my ear buds in, did the test and received email to say I did not have hearing loss. Whole experience has left me with huge question marks over Boots hearing care. Won't be going back there for sure when time comes that I am worried about my hearing.

Yusuf was excellent. Helped me and my grandfather out so much.

My Phonak hearing aids and the little microphone you can buy as an extra, have both been superb. The little mic. has been life-changing. It can't make much difference if you're in a packed pub with background music but for e.g. a table in a cafe or restaurant it makes all the difference between going and not going. Expensive at over £1,000 but worth it to me.

However my one big gripe is their repairs service. The hearing aids are returned to the manufacturer and they say it will take 5-10 working days. I feel that having spent over £3,000 for the hearing aids, they should offer something better than this, especially when people are so very dependent on their hearing aids.

I was particularly anxious to get mine back in time for my holiday and when we got to day 9, I tried to ring the Leeds branch to see if they'd arrived yet. Only to be told by a recorded voice "We are very busy and can't answer the phone. Please try later". No offer to ring me back. I then rang their Head Office who at first just said "It's standard practice. There's nothing we can do". However I persisted and finally they sent an e-mail to the Leeds branch to see if there was a set I could borrow if mine were not back. It was very frustrating not to be able to get an answer from Leeds. Finally I did manage to get through to Leeds and they were back. So I had gone through a lot of unnecessary stress and had to be really persistent when all the time they were sitting there in the Leeds branch. Stressful and upsetting.

Before going to collect them, I rang the Leeds branch to ask if there would be anyone available to do the BlueTooth connections to my mobile phone and the little mic. but I was told no, because they had "back to back appointments all day". Very disappointing. However when I got there, Eustace said that he would fit me in between appointments. I had to wait for half an hour but he quickly did both connections for me. Thanks so much Eustace. So a stressful experience but he saved the day.

Mr Yusuf Ahmed, the staff member who dealt with me, was exceptionally friendly competent and efficient.
Although I opted not to proceed, at this stage,that decision was not in any way affected by the standard and quality of the service provided, which was excellent.

First time getting hearing aids and yusuf the audiolagist put me at ease straight away.He explained everything very clearly to me .He is excellent at his job and very friendly. I would highly recommend going to see him if you have any doubts about your hearing.

I saw Yusuf at The albion street store in Leeds city centre . The service that Yusuf provided was superb . Knowledgable , helpful , patient and as a result of his excellent service i upgraded my old hearing aids successfully to a new top of the range pair .
I am very grateful to for the standard of care and attention i received .

I have been wearing Boots Hearing Aids for a number of years and have had excellent service from Yusuf and his predecessors during this time. I have changed models just once and Yusuf took me through the models available clearly and without any pressure to buy. When I damaged one of the aids he dealt with the repair quickly and efficiently, with good humour. I would thoroughly recommend Boots and Yusuf in Leeds.

The audiologist was very good in explaining everything and ensuring I understood. I have got new hearing aids suited to me and I can already tell the difference

Leeds Albion Street. Very good experience on every visit since first hearing test 2 years ago. Pleasant staff and very professional.

The audiologist was very supportive since I had been resistant to wearing hearing aids but he explained the medical amd social benefits. He then showed me the types of aids available (and the cost). I am now wearing them with no problems but a follow up appt is arranged for any concerns.

Excellent service - prompt and professional advice providing useful information to make a decision on choice of suitable hearing aid. The aid works well and has improved quality of life in relation to hearing.
