The testing was handled really well with clear explanation of what the results meant. From there the options available were explained with any questions answered clearly. Overall a good experience.

Rushed and disrespectful
Rushed, rude and no respect.
Firstly appointments cancelled on the day. I do understand people get sick. Rebooked.
On arrival told everyone had gone home. Assured receptionist we had appointments.
I was reprimanded, being asked why I hadn’t bought a Hearing Aid 4 years ago. Interview was rushed and lack of respect throughout. No smile. It felt like I was a nuisance and closing time couldn’t come too soon.
Brief hearing test was conducted by M, far too quickly. Elderly people need a second or two to hear a sound. Finished early.

Unprofessional
Very short assessment, technician lacked empathy, not at all reassuring and no real explanation about the outcome other than I needed hearing aids- then pushed a price list at me .
End of assessment!
Member of staff standing in the department eating a sandwich, certainly won’t be going back.

Not to be trusted
The main driver for the audiology service at Boots Harrogate is to sell hearing aids. The facilities are, in direct comparison to the NHS very limited and fall far short of the NHS. IMHO if you are concerned about your hearing do not use this company.
