First class, honest company. Mike goes out of his way anytime you contact him. I have recommended him to many of my friends and all are satisfied. Have no hesitation in recommending him.

I contacted Bolton Alarms (Mike) re CCTV back in early December 2020. Mike responded with a quote for an alarm, and having just had a baby I thought I'd asked for an alarm system instead of CCTV. However, upon checking my email, I had, as I thought, actually requested a quote for CCTV. Red flag number 1. I replied to Mike's text which offered a choice of two appointment dates to say it was actually CCTV I wanted. This was on 8 December 2020. No reply. Given that we've been in the midst of a global pandemic for the past 12 months, I gave Bolton Alarms the benefit of doubt and thought something may well have happened that didn't allow the company to respond. Red flag number 2. So, on Saturday, I texted Mike and asked if the company was still providing a service. I received a reply on Monday of this week with an apology and explanation that due to Covid the company was months behind with their work and was given an offer to visit on Wednesday of this week between 12 and 2pm. I accepted. Mike confirmed. I'm still waiting. No telephone call or text message to say why he hasn't arrived, and no response to my text message this morning. Incredibly poor behaviour. Neither professional nor polite. If you haven't got the capacity, physically or mentally, to take on work then don't arrange appointments. Don't use Covid as an excuse for your own inabilities.
It's a pity I didn't read Trustpilot reviews beforehand, as it seems to be a common thread with this company! 1 star is far too high a rating.

Edited due to reply from Bolton Alarms. An enquiry form was completed online via your website in December 2020. I went through the proper channels. Your director, as listed on Companies House, telephoned and texted me, so I replied to that number. Maybe your "engineers" shouldn't be using their private phones and should behave more professionally. To clarify, your "engineer" has used Covid as an excuse on numerous reviews.

Bolton Alarms failed to attend a confirmed appointment, didn’t answer four phone calls, one voicemail, a text message, and a WhatsApp message.

Response to your reply: I will supply TP with a copy of the WhatsApp message you sent after I submitted this review, in which you apologised for not turning and not responding stating 'personal reasons'.

He came last minute to help me out and gave me amazing service, I will 100% be using in the future. Couldn’t recommend him enough, also very helpful and friendly!

Had our house alarm fitted by BA, turned up on time. Did a neat and Professional job also took time out to explain how to use the alarm and set it up to our mobile phones! I have recommended BA to a few friends who have had nothing but good words! Many thanks!

I would actually have given no stars. Same as the other reviews. Made an appointment. Didn’t turn up. Didn’t phone. He made another appointment for today 2.30/3 didn’t turn up again. I messaged him at 6 reply was he was still doing jobs prior to mine. Won’t be using again or recommending. Big job little job . Think we know which category we come in.

Why does a small business make a promise to come and service your alarm system, after making an appointment of their choosing, then not turn up? Schedules can change I appreciate that but not even a phone call to aplogise! One of the cardinal rules in business - keep your customer informed

I called these guys to do my Alarm they said they will be coming today to show me different Alarms and give me a quote. Today being 10/11/2020. Ive been trying to call them all day they made me wait from 10-11am which they promised and no one is picking the phone up all day i find this extremely unprofessional and a waste of time! Avoid this company.

Poor service - alarm never really worked - the guy doesn't answer his phone or return calls - when you get an appointment for service or repair he doesn't turn up.
I'd recommend going elsewhere
