Appalling conduct. Arrogance, intimidation and a complete absence of professionalism.
My experience with BMS Salvage has been utterly disgraceful. The aggressive behaviour, threatening messages and contemptuous treatment we have encountered are beyond unacceptable.
When I explained that my mother was dealing with a close family bereavement, Lewis Simons, Customer Relations Manager, responded: “Well, that's none of my business.” Let that sink in. This is the attitude of someone supposedly responsible for customer relations.
His subsequent failure to respond to my written complaint only reinforces the impression of a bully who is happy to throw his weight around but remarkably reluctant to account for himself when challenged. The treatment of my mother and me has also left me seriously questioning the company's attitude towards women who refuse to be intimidated.
BMS Salvage's conduct demonstrates a breathtaking level of arrogance and a shocking disregard for basic decency. A job title does not confer integrity, and intimidation is not a substitute for competence.
My advice is unequivocal: take your business elsewhere. There is no shortage of companies that understand the meaning of respect and professionalism. BMS Salvage has given us every reason to look elsewhere—and every reason to warn others to do the same.
A company that treats people this way should be ashamed of itself. Avoid.

What you’ve described is not how we expect anyone to be treated, least of all someone going through a bereavement. We’re also sorry that your written complaint hasn’t had a reply. That shouldn’t have happened, and we want to put it right.
As we’re unable to identify your case from the review alone, we’d be grateful if you could contact us at info@bmssalvage.co.uk and address this to the complaints manager, quoting your vehicle registration and, if possible, the date of your enquiry. Our complaints manager will then review everything, including your earlier correspondence, and get back to you personally.
They won’t give you your money
I clearly told them that my car had a cam belt issue and the car wouldn’t drive on the initial call. They said they’d written down of the condition of the car and that I would be getting the rest of the money after the collection. Got an email 5 days after my car had been collected after radio silence during this time saying they had been “trying to contact me” which is untrue.
Said they wouldn’t give me the rest of my money due to me not explaining the condition of the car not driving when I clearly did in the initial call.
Really awful service and wish I’d never used it!

Agreed value not paid out after car was loaded and taken. Had to haggle with supervisor and still £100 short on agreed value - due to errors by their staff not ticking boxes on a form to highlight what was advised (twice) regarding condition of the car.
