Don't pay extra for a premium seat because you'll likely be seated in a regular seat anyway, and you won't be refunded the difference. Don't expect the phone charging outlets to work, but do expect a 'fuel surcharge'. Other than that, it's not bad.

No ac on a very hot day

No ac on a very hot day

A lot of hot and bothered people on board!

Departed 15 minutes late

Update at 20:35: stuck at fuel station with driver refusing to go any further!

We had the misfortune to book a coach…

We had the misfortune to book a coach trip to Take That yesterday in Cardiff. It took 4 hours each way from Wellington this was excessive ,but was not all the company’s fault.
However having a packed bus with no air on,+30 degrees for all that time is completely unacceptable. We were socking wet by the time we got to Cardiff, made the concert hard to enjoy knowing we had to do it all again coming home.
Feel very let down.What should have been a great day spoilt by rubbish equipment. Not mentioned the very loud grating noise as we went round roundabouts.
Will not use Berry’s again.Driver did her best, company did nothing to help.

Toilets need a clean

The journey was fine,not as good as when they had the hostess service.
My one complaint is the toilets,which l always try and avoid if possible.
They are not very clean,which sometimes l imagine is not the fault of the company. But the first service of the day ,they should be.
Maybe they haven't been cleaned from the previous day and they smell as well.
Really let's the service down.

Day trip to Savill Gardens and Thames cruise

My husband and I went on the Berrys trip to Windsor Great Park yesterday 13th May. This included lunch and visiting Savill Gardens. Both of which were lovely. The afternoon included a cream tea on a Thames river cruise, again a lovely afternoon even though the weather wasn't good!
The coach was comfortable, and the driver( I believe he was called Rob) was friendly, punctual and professional.
We would throughally recommend this trip as it was great value for money!

We had heard good things about the…

We had heard good things about the convenient Berrys (for us in Wells) coach service to London and we wanted to go to an exhibition in Olympia. So we booked 2 side by side first class Superfast comfortable seats with table, WiFi, charging points and aircon. We usually use the train but we thought the 2-deck luxury coach would worth a try. So at 07.30 at Wells bus station a coach arrived, but not the luxury coach we were promised. It was just a replacement single deck stand by hack, not the real thing. We were allocated separate seats at the back, over the back wheels with seat spacing that Ryanair would be proud to get away with. Nothing worked, no aircon, no wifi, no 'table', no charging points, no toilet. We set off and for some reason the driver drove in such a way that we were glad of seatbelts to prevent us being flung out of our seats. We had taken light snacks and water, but it was impossible to consume because of the violent coach motion, especially when the driver crashed over the roadside kerbs, such was his skill. Finally we arrived breathlessly in London, only to be told it would be the same coach type on the return, BUT we were to be reimbursed our deluxe fee...the princely sum of £4. No Way. We went to Trainline and booked a Rail return and travelled in smooth comfort drinking wine and nibbles on 1st Class GWR Paddington to Bristol. Even with the 1st Bus ride from Temple Meads we were back home in Wells in good time. Never again. Order luxury Berrys coach, get cheap travel.

Holland Cup with Radz

We took two youth teams for Taunton Town to Holland for the Dutch cup.

Our driver was Radz Isaac and what a legend he was. He was great with the kids, patient with all the traffic and delays during the journey.

Picked us up when he said he would and knew that with a load of teenage footballers on the bus it would be a little roudy. But he took it all in his stride.

We have a photo of Radz with the U15 trophy. Incidentally both teams won their age groups. But I can't post it here for some reason.

Lee is the best bus driver

Lee is the best bus driver , highly recommended traveling with Berrys . Bus was luxurious and clean , could not have asked for more . Hope Berrys acknowledges Lee as he was top tear !

Booking Experience

Just booked a trip to London and Alex (on the phone) could not have been more helpful.
Lovely to see that great customer service is still a 'thing' - hope Berrys acknowledges this with Alex.

Bev/Beth working at Hammersmith is a star!

Beth / Bev (I may have misheard the name) working at Hammersmith helped us with our journey! She kept us informed about the possibility of getting on an earlier bus staying vigilant of seat availability on the coach.
She helped me and my family (as well as two other passengers) get home earlier! She is an asset and brilliant representative for berry’s coaches!

I’m extremely disappointed with Berry’s…

I’m extremely disappointed with Berry’s Coach Hire due to the way one of their double-decker coaches was left parked on an active industrial estate in Highbridge. The vehicle was abandoned for a prolonged period with no driver present, despite the area being heavily used by HGVs, tippers, and delivery vehicles throughout the day.

This caused significant disruption to multiple businesses, with large vehicles struggling to manoeuvre safely and access loading areas. It created an unnecessary safety risk and showed a complete lack of consideration for others operating on the estate.

Large commercial vehicles should be parked in suitable locations, not left blocking or restricting access in working industrial zones. Very poor judgement and an avoidable situation.

Berrys London Superfast absolutely excellent…

Berrys London Superfast is absolutely excellent. Couple of years back due to train strikes switched from trip to Waterloo to Ilminster to Hammersmith coach and have never looked back. £29 return for OAP safe and comfortable. London drop off perfect for onward travel and for return. Date of experience is latest as several made.

Fantastic customer service

Great to know that this company is employee owned. Drivers and all other staff incredibly helpful, friendly and polite. Who needs expensive, unreliable train travel (where all profits go to shareholders), when this wonderfully run company is an alternative. Absolutely deserve the 5 stars. Only thing to be even better is their website could be more user friendly and live tracking if at all possible. But travelling with them is brilliant! I use them regularly and only once late due to roadworks and they called. Well done to all of you! They also seem to have invested in newer coaches.

Shocking

Shocking . Has nt replied to anything and the bus is over 2hours late . We are waiting to collect out son .. not very impressed ! It is 1 am by the way . The website is down and we are frozen !!!

Friendly staff and good service

The coach we were on broke down. A replacement coach came 2 hours later. It was frustrating but the staff were doing what they could to keep us updated and comfortable. We were also told where to get possible compensation, which was fair. I hope Berrys will keep going and acquire/ maintain a reliable fleet of coaches.

Changed seats without agreement and had…

Changed seats without agreement and had uncomfortable journey home. Late departure due to two coaches into one. What’s the point of paying for a designated seat if the service can’t be provided!
This used to be a brilliant way to travel but I’m beginning to rethink using the service in the future.
Management needs to look into what’s going on urgently.

Nice service but they need aircon

Did a trip today and the first coach at least had aircon but was 40 mins late getting to London. The coach on the way back was ao hot and airless on a 30 deg day. I think there was aircon but it certainly did nothing to cool the coach down. Just way too hot!
