Belmont Hotel Manila Bewertungen 

Arrived in lovely Manila after a long-haul flight, and assigned a room with 2 single beds - not what I paid for or wanted. Took quite a while to sort out.
After checking in, our room for 2 guests had only ONE single towel. This was quickly sorted out.
Then, after having settling into the room, a total stranger (other guest with a key to our room) barged into the room - compromising our privacy and security.
Then, after coming back from dinner, the room key no longer worked and I had to line up for 15 minutes at front desk to have key changed.
In attempt to speak to manager, I am told he/she is "otherwise occupied".
How is this for service? My biggest concern is the breach of our security. Should hotels not face some consequences or penalties when these things happen?

Belmont Hotel MNL

Returning to DC from Palawan, I took a flight from PPS (Puerto Princesa) to Manila one day before my flight was set to depart from MNL to SFO. The AirAsia flight did a great job getting us from PPS to MNL, and I arrived around 4 p.m. Upon arrival at MNL I looked for a walking path from arrivals to the Belmont Hotel, which I understood was part of the airport.

Turns out the Belmont is not actually on the airport property – it’s not far, but it’s not embedded in the terminal. As I left the baggage area in the airport I looked for walking signs directing me to the Belmont but did not find any. I did, however, see about 20 hotel signs at a taxi dispatch kiosk near baggage claim – and the Belmont Hotel was one of the signs posted there.

So I opted to have the folks at the taxi kiosk arrange my trip to the hotel. I think I paid 1,120 pesos at the kiosk, and the driver was lined up and brought me straight to the hotel. The driver confided that I could probably skip using a taxi, given how close the hotel is to Terminal 3. Still, if I had been loaded with baggage using a taxi probably would make sense, so no harm, no foul.

The hotel was great. Clean, modern, quiet, firm bedding, no single-use plastics, close to an array of inexpensive street food vendors and restaurants (I walked three blocks to seriously enjoy bulgogi and rice noodles at the Orange Bucket, very good deal and excellent food).

For my trip from MNL to SFO, after I checked out of the hotel my goal was to walk from the hotel to terminal 3. In my private review of the Belmont Hotel to the hotel’s staff, I asked that they put themselves in the shoes of a traveler who is unfamiliar with the two blocks between the hotel's main entrance and the entrance of the building where we can take an elevator to the terminal. I asked the hotel staff to look at the doors to the entrance of that building - there are no signs indicating these are the doors we need to walk through to take the elevators to the terminal.

The hotel is well situated for airport travelers. I just would encourage the staff to improve signage between the hotel and the terminal, at both Terminal 3 in the airport and the building near the hotel – make it easier for travelers to get from one point to another with better signage.

Room was ok,unfortunately food atrocious.We had an evening meal and we both had food poisoning,sickness,etc.

I booked this place before online, I like the hotel and is a great location.
This time I looked online at room prices but was unable to book, so I went to hotel walk in and book as I still was unable to book online.
Online the room was 5000 php +
Walk in for the same room was 12000+!!!
I don't mind paying a bit extra but over twice the price is a joke.
Andrew on the desk offered me a free massage to compensate that I didn't want so didn't take.
The Belmont is great, especially breakfast!
Book online to avoid being ripped off

Stayed here earlier this year and I was pretty much satisfied with anything. The only thing I can really complain about was that our breakfast was cold but that's about it.

The staff are not very knowledgeable about the included airport transfers, which is needed for travel weary customers. On the way out we were told the wrong bus time to take in the morning to connect to Guam. This meant they recommended talking a taxi. For some reason we were ushered into the second cab, not the first, which was waved on. We got the staff to make sure that this would be a fixed cost or at the very least regulated for such a short journey, and were assured it would cost no more than $5. However, on arrival at the airport the driver insisted on $20; even though it was a metered taxi, he had not switched it on and we were not to know this being a little disorientated after a long flight and being out of our comfort zone. Short of finding a police officer and not being able to get the flight, we felt we had to pay. We spoke to the hotel about this on the return visit and they shrugged it off, when it was their decision to force us into a taxi due to their negligent advice. We then found out they have a car service, but they did not offer it to us that morning for some reason. The staff said they could not take responsibility for anything, even though we spoke to two managers. This meant they were very unhelpful and the whole experience marred the holiday during the stressful travelling period.
