Heaven forbid you arrive here with outsize baggage in addition to your regular baggage. The inexplicably narrow exit doors from the baggage collection carousels are one way, with no assistance available. The baggage carts require a £1 coin (who has that if you’ve come from an international flight from London (Belfast city airport being the only choice of airport for this)?

I raised the challenges faced to the information staff was met by the rudest individual I’ve come across for a long time. “This isn’t an international airport” was the justification. For the service desk supervisor seemed wilfully ignorant or insufferably dismissive.

It’s not just the exit from badge reclaim that appears anti-tourist / returning resident but the entire drop-off / collection system that’s been put in place appears to be a money grab at a whole new and disgusting level. Not only that but recent changes make navigating the airport unintuitive and even more confusing than it ever was. Like it was intentionally broken or designed by a 3 year old. Although more likely broken in line with the money grab, fleecing everyone who simply wants to drop and go. This money grab perspective is reflected in how we are now forced through the shop after security and feels somewhat predatory on people’s holiday spirit. In short the upgrades reflect corporate greed at its finest with real costumer needs set to the bottom of the pile

Easily the friendliest airport and airport staff in the UK. It may be a tiny airport, but they do things right!

Arrived at 6.35amfor a British Airways flight that registered on the board almost immediately as cancelled! The first flight of the morning. The city airport staff are unhelpful sitting heads down in the middle of panicking travellers. Poor show😢

Today on way back home from here to London mum and tried to buy gifts costing over £300. After waiting for 5 minutes whilst the till clerk went to get advice for the customer in front of us we overheard her say card only! There was no sign on the till or upon entering the duty free! I wanted to use the last of our spending money but BCA refused us. They would rather lose a good sale from me and the customer in front than accept cash. On top of this the till clerk was very uppity with us and appeared to be looking down on us with our cash! No apology only a shrug 🤷! Unsatisfactory behaviour. So I put down the items for her to put back herself!

An excellent small airport. Fast, friendly security. Waiting areas clean and tidy with plenty of seating.
Access by train difficult over road bridge.
Waited 20 minutes for courtesy bus and was informed it would be with us in another 5-10 mins. Gave up and walked in the rain to the terminal. Not good for two OAP’s.

Ive been ripped off with exsorborant parking charges at Belfast city airport George best of £20 for 25 minutes watch out everyone!!! Parking charges need to be clearly sign posted not hiden at the pay machine, you people are crooks and stop using the name George Best because you don’t deserve the right to use his name rip!!!!

Can not believe this airport had no TV and therefore not an opportunity to watch the Euro Cup Final.
Aviation wise no complaints, but you have totally missed an opportunity here, very short sited.

Terrible. Arrived at 9pm and waited 45 minutes for a taxi. They only have a contract with one taxi company. Shambolic service. Use more than one taxi firm Belfast City airport!

I flew from here on 12th May. I used to like this wee airport but will think twice about using it again. I had no suitcase and arrived 2 hours before my flight. However, the security lines were HUGE and I just made it through with minutes to spare before my flight boarded. I had arrived earlier with the intention of relaxing before my flight. Instead it ended up being a stressful, anxiety laden 2 hours. The security staff were blatantly rude. They keep you waiting without an explanation, no updates or an expected wait time, and then they treat you with no respect. These people have weird power issues.

Belfast City Airport is appalling, avoid it if possible. Security is a farce more akin to thuggish doormen now they have a disgusting dog climbing over your suitcase slobbering fluid over your suitcase in full view at arrivals. Its worse than 3rd world. You cannot contact this airport to complain. They don't answer the telephone, they don't reply to the auto mail or e.mail its a disgraceful airport.

Caught an Aer Lingus flight from Belfast City Airport to Birmingham at 10am this morning. The queue for security after check-in at 9am was outrageous. Only one lane open for scanning carry on baggage. The second lane was inexplicably closed at a peak morning time. The security screening process took for ever! We just managed to get to the boarding gate on time, before the flight closed. Forget about our plans for a quick pre-flight coffee at the business lounge. Belfast City Airport - please get your act together!

Absolutely shocking from Belfast city airport!! Son flys regularly to football matches 30 mins flight only to be searched once again socks shoes clothes ect tested everything clear then threatened to have his items removed and kept 🤔 also after being tested and cleared, removed his license from wallet without consent also after identifying himself and this is every time he travels there so just a coincidence it’s every single time 🤔 suspicious completely waste of time and unnecessary so back to international!! Don’t waste ur time , yes it’s convenient but I’d rather travel an extra half hour and have my son treated like a decent person which he is !! Avoid don’t deserve one star ! Shocking behaviour from security staff!

Car park charges are an absolute rip-off, £52 for two days. No shuttle service to the nearest train station. This airport is stuck in the dark ages. Belfast deserves better.

Had the misfortune of visiting the short stay carpark this evening where I had to wait on family picking up bags. Just over 20 minutes and cost me £18.00 to sit on a piece of tarmac. What a ripoff. Won’t be back or if I do I’ll park up a verge and risk being towed, gotta be cheaper.

I used to love travelling from the city airport, not anymore. The reason being is the rudeness and unfriendly security staff. I have just had my small case unpacked in front of many people. I was shocked and embarrassed at the way I was treated. I had sachets of medication, held up in front of others and was asked if it was liquid (it was clearly powder).

Shocking poor service from BA at check in. Two staff on and dozens of people waiting. I've calculated the average time to check one passenger in is five to seven minutes. This is the worst airport in the UK. Without a doubt. The airline doesn't care about anything but profit.

Security are slow, officious, unfriendly and generally awful. I avoid this airport if I can to avoid these dreadful people. I travel a lot and these people seem to deliberately want to make travellers’ experience miserable. City Airport should find a better contractor.

Dirty Airport ripping people off with £3 fees just to drop you off for a service you have already paid over the odds for! NI hospitality is just ripping people off these days from Airports to Hotels to restaurants. I have now booked my next two holidays out of Dublin. Cheaper flights and better access anyway
