The staff at the New King’s Road store are very rude, cold and unfriendly. I was appalled that they told us in a stern manner that the store was closing the one minute, essentially telling us to get out. They really need to give the staff some very basic customer service training. If not perhaps it’s best to change the store name to Iceland or Poundland.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Bailey & Sage since they opened, but this week alone has been extremely frustrating. I visited three times within just a few days regarding their aged Parmesan—what I believe is 44 or 48 months—and each time I received inconsistent and incorrect information.

On my first visit, I was told it was being cut downstairs and would be available soon. The next day, I was given the same information. Today, I spoke to two staff members, including a manager, and was treated condescendingly; they questioned whether I had even bought the cheese there and claimed they only carry 15- and 24-month Parmesan, denying ever having the 44-month variety.

Every visit, the staff is completely different, freely giving out false or misleading information without checking or verifying stock. This kind of gaslighting and dismissive treatment is disrespectful, confusing, and exhausting. After just this week’s experiences, it’s become clear that trusting the information I’m given is too much of a hassle, and I don’t see myself continuing to shop there under these circumstances.

In Fulham Road store where occasionally shop, the staff is very cold and unfriendly. They do anything possible to create a very cold and distant atmosphere. Yesterday I tried to engage with the staff at the till, but once again, I had been treated with a cold attitude and let’s forget about a smile!

Very Rude staff managment have no interest in customer sevice the want you money but cant offer a free coffee when you been over priced and then been called a lier staff are more intrested in talking to each other then serving i had to experience a shouting match from manager and staff member they even have ther nerve to reduce the reduced items from 50 percent to 30 and even wen it late at night would rather throw in bin then reduce more terrible company run by a snobby buissness women

I used to like their expensive bread but they will sell you a day old baguette without any qualms!

Terrible company- I bought some smoked trout at Christmas that made my wife violently sick - ruined our Xmas - on contacting them ingot only the most basic apology - not even an offer of a basic refund from this uber expensive deli-
They sure need a lesson in customer service

Lovely well stocked store with lots of temptations.
Disappointed no hello on entering from 2 male staff in doorway. Not a big enough selection of cold soft drinks. Need more variety in prepared food. No pasta salad or other vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes available apart from meat lasagne. Too many varieties of prepared risotto. Sell by dates too short for such quality expensive produce. Chap on till not friendly and didn't give own bag discount received at Marylebone.

I was impressed with the over all appearance of Bayley & Sage Marylebone. It is pricy, but I go there to buy Deli produce that is a bit special. The greengrocer part is interesting but I can’t pay the prices of most things. Also I believe that they are having problems with such a large shop area keeping up with fresh produce. Marylebone high street has become like the Le Marais. So rents are massive.
My complaint is, that on the half dozen visits to Bayley and Sage, I have been mistakenly over charged on two occasions So they have staff problems as well.
But I will see how they get on and may visit again, as I live almost next door.

I have been going to Bailey & Sage for a while and love their produce although quite expensive. They recently opened a store on Kensington church street and love the friendly staff and atmosphere in the store. However, I have one major complaint and am not the only one who has issues with this problem. The milk sell by date is always too short, and have to search for longer sell by date bottles which are often non existant or if they are, in the back of the fridge. I recently bought a bottle of milk and when I got home, realized the expiration date was the following day and this is truly unacceptable. I have experienced this problem in the Ebury street, Marylebone and Kensington church street stores. I have flagged this up at the till and was told it was raised to management but they weren’t sure anything was being done. I love thé glass milk bottles, the fact that you can return the bottles for 10 pence a bottle but have stopped buying milk there due to this issue. I really hope management looks into this and does something about it.

accept cash.
I bought a few items and had to pay by card.

I will not be visiting Bayley & Sage again due to them not accepting cash!

If we don't use cash, we will lose cash.
