Thank you for your feedback. We understand this situation has been frustrating; however, several statements in your review do not accurately reflect events. We would therefore like to clarify the facts and confirm how we will proceed.
Your original order was for the installation of one post, which was later amended at your request to include two posts. The additional installation fee was paid accordingly.
Due to illness, the installer was unable to attend the original appointment at short notice. This was explained at the time, the job was rescheduled, and you confirmed you were happy to proceed. Installation then took place on 12/02.
A further installation date was arranged for 18/02, which you cancelled the day before. While this would normally incur a cancellation charge under our policy, no fee was applied as a goodwill gesture, taking into account the earlier cancellation caused by installer illness.
Our products are supplied by an established manufacturer, and installation is carried out by qualified, insured trade professionals. This is standard industry practice and does not affect your statutory rights. At no point have we described our installers as degree-qualified engineers.
Prior to excavation, the installer carried out checks using a cable avoidance tool (CAT scanner). As is standard across the construction industry, CAT scanners do not detect all underground services. During excavation of the second post, underground pipework was discovered and work was stopped immediately for safety reasons.
Before installation, you signed a site conditions form confirming that if pipes, drains, or other services are discovered on the day, installation costs remain chargeable. The charge applied covers attendance, labour, equipment, and abortive works; it is not a consultation fee and is not based solely on time spent excavating.
Following discovery of the pipework, the installer discussed an alternative solution on site: a removable post requiring less excavation depth. After this, multiple online orders were placed by you, including incorrect items, resulting in cancellations and re-orders. Our support team assisted where possible to cancel incorrect orders and correct these issues.
As a goodwill gesture, and because the first post was unused and being exchanged, the supplier authorised a full refund for that product only. Installation costs are not refundable once work has commenced, in line with the signed agreement.
You have now received a post, and we are ready to complete the installation at no additional installation cost. The only reason the installation has not yet been rebooked is that multiple product types have been ordered (removable and fold-down), and we need to confirm which item is physically on site to avoid further disruption. We requested a brief phone call for confirmation, as the image provided shows an order confirmation rather than the post itself.
Once this is confirmed, we will immediately arrange a suitable installation date.
We would also note that you previously sent several emails thanking our team member Andrea for her assistance and customer service. Andrea and the wider team have continued to support this matter in good faith.
To summarise:
You are not being charged again for installation.
We are ready to proceed once the product on site is confirmed.
We simply need to agree a suitable installation date.
Please contact us when available so we can move this forward without delay.

Highly recommended great customer service
Well the customer service is next to on they’re absolutely brilliant easy to talk to and even if you come across a problem it’s resolved within minutes. This company is amazing.
