More like paint kitten. This product is simply awful and costing an average of £32 per litre it should actually work and work quickly. IT DOESN'T !! REALLY IT DOESN'T 3 coats of this stuff in and scratching scoring and hard graft and I get a micron thin coat removed. I'm old school and remember paint strippers that were like Alien blood. All in all a waste of money and back to scratch scrub and sandpaper. Working out an average to strip one window at this rate and the cost it's probably cheaper to change the darn window .. 😏

Barrenttine Brush Restorer
I have used Brush Restorer by Barrenttine quite a lot over the years but my recent purchase at over £6 a can seems to have undergone a product change and it doesn't work anywhere like the old product. Of course you don't find this out until you've spent the money.

Barrettine Wood Protector Clear. I have just used this product on a newly installed fence, following a lot of investigation. The product is solvent based, which immediately gave me positive thoughts as opposed to water based. It is just fantastic to see the water not penetrating the panel and posts and the product atively repelling water/rain. It's easy to apply, looks good, in so far as it brings out the natural features of the wood, and it's doing the job. The product is perfect for treated timber, has UV deterent to stop the fencing ageing and going grey. Pleased to be supporting the company. Thnak you for an excellent product.

Excellent products, probably the best there is
I have used Barrettine wood protection products for many years both in our business and at home. We have tried other products and always found them inadequate. In fact some other so-called wood preservation products are downright rubbish. The Barrettine products with which I have most experience are the Wood Preserver and the Wood Protective Treatment. In my opinion these are the best products on the market when genuine 100% coal tar creosote is inappropriate. The company is one of the last independent paint makers in the country and has an excellent technical help desk. I hope they are around for many years to come.
