I want to believe I am saving money…
I want to believe I am saving money here, but I just don't see it. Billing is confusing, almost 100% of the time higher than my ConEd bill shows. Customer service takes a while to get back to you, they get defensive and can not explain the cost/billing clearly.

Do Not Waste Your Time...
I signed up for this company to save via becoming a member of a local community solar farm. After over a year, I am still not a member of any community solar farm I signed up for. No sign of ever being one either. I also referred 10 people to this company where you are supposed to receive $1000. But as soon as I did that, then suddenly there are other details not completed. They change the definition of what a "referral" is so you don't get the money, but they never mention these details in their advertisements of the promotion. I spent over 4 months with a ticket opened on this issue only to get told, after all this time later, that I am not eligible to receive the money after referring 10 people. I would NEVER refer this company to anyone now. They are liars. On top of all the false advertising, I am still not a part of a community solar farm even after a year of waiting so this whole thing is a lie and a complete waste of time. Do not waste your time with this sham company.

total Scam - no savings and what i was told by the representative that came to my home and what happened two different outcomes. I been in my home for 10years light bill no more then $180 and after I signed up with them $399 for 31 days period. Am dissapointed on my self for allowing them to scam me.
Extremely incompetent company
At first this company seemed decent. A gentleman came to my home and explained the program and it sounded like a good set up. The first issue I had was having to turn off two factor authentication for them to be able to access my power company account directly. Then I needed to contact them to get information on how I could also access my power company account because I wanted to monitor my natural gas usage. I made the mistake of sending their customer service an email from my work computer, which automatically sent it from my work email. They pointed out that it wasn't my usual email, I apologized and put the correct email, and they communicated with me. However, contacting them once with my work email somehow got my work email permanently associated with the Stripe billing account. Then every month I received a payment confirmation email to my work email. I contacted them over multiple months explaining the problem, and each time they promised that they fixed the issue. I reached out to Stripe and they said that Arcadia could fix it, but that Arcadia would have to contact them. I shared this information with Arcadia, and was told that a manager would contact me back. Days went by, and no one contacted me back. I contacted Arcadia again and asked them about the manager calling me. They said that a manager had resolved the issue. Next month comes along and again I get the Stripe confirmation email to my work email. At this point, I was tired and contacted them to cancel my account. They told me that the cancellation could not go through immediately, and that it would take a few months. They then asked if I would agree to stay in the program if they sent me a $100 gift card. I said okay. Some time went by again, and I reached out to them to ask about the gift card. They didn't seem to have any knowledge of the gift card and said that I was put on a list. Then the month comes around that they said my cancellation would go through if the gift card didn't convince me to stay. I get notification that my account is being canceled. At this point I'm just annoyed and decide maybe that's for the best and look for a different community solar provider. Then about a week later, I get an email from Arcadia again telling me that I'm being connected to another solar farm. So I called them and asked them what the heck is going on. Once again they had no knowledge of the $100 gift card and they don't see anything about my account being canceled but that it's pending. I pointed out this might be the solution to the issue with the billing, but I need someone to communicate with me. The guy on the phone got annoyed that I was annoyed that they couldn't explain what was going on nor could they connect me with somebody who could explain what was going on and just offered to cancel my account. I agreed because I have had enough of these people. Extremely incompetent company.
This company tried to scam me
This company tried to scam me. I was inquiring about solar and they asked for my electric account info to see if I qualified. Soon after there were contracts signed by my IP address! I had to call my electric company to make sure that I did not authorize this. There is no way this company is legit.
Horrible experience my electric bills…
Horrible experience my electric bills shot up don’t match what my national grid bills are and are usually $100 or more than what my National Grid bill is. Contacted them to cancel but guess what, it takes 180 DAYS TO FULLY CANCEL. This is everything short of a scam.
Don't Do IT!
Do NOT do this.. Waist of time and money, they will not help you. I have waisted so much time working through issue's on billing and moving with this company. Just pay your current power provider and don't be like me! Awful experience across the board.
Incredibly difficult to deal with as they overbilled me
Early on it was fine, but the past two months for some reason my RI Energy provider deeply discounted my bills. Arcadia did not recognize the discount, so now I am out $100+ they refuse to acknowledge.
After typing this I will go an terminate my involvement with them.
Sounds great on paper, horrible in practice
I signed up for community solar with Arcadia in the fall of 2022. I didn't have a spot on the community solar farm until the end of 2024; however, once I did have a spot, I knew that my average monthly billing plan wouldn't be adjusted for 3 months, so I didn't think anything of the higher bills initially after a quick exchange with customer support. When I called today, they said it could take up to a year for the credits being generated to be reflected in my Xcel Energy bill; therefore, I just said cancel the service, I'm not going to wait another 6 months to see if it actually flips over and it already takes them 3 months to cancel.
Untrustworthy - Read the Reviews
While the residential customer service agents on the phone (in my case Tia and Kathryn) were professional and pleasant, their supervisor Joshua was condescending (to put it politely) and arrogant.
After saying he had reviewed my concerns as documented by his service agents, he refused to briefly summarize them for me although asked repeatedly to do so. In fact, he went so far as to hang up saying he was too busy. Too busy for a 30-seconf summarization of what he knows? (When I called back to speak with another "Supervisor of Escalation," the customer service representative read the documented notes and summarized in 20 seconds.) Sadly there isn't another "Supervisor of Escalation" - only Joshua.
In short, read the reviews. Like many, I like the idea of community solar in theory - not with Arcadia.
Rip off…
At first I felt I was helping get clean energy to my home. Ended up more expensive rather than saving. Worse than that I ended service three months ago and have been continually back charged since, and because they have your checking account info they keep making withdrawals, despite constant back and forths. Reaching out to a law firm right now to find out recourse I have to get my money back.
Never use this company.

Total scam. Continually charging me for bills that are for an apartment from nearly three years ago. I provided all the termination paperwork requested, but they're still charging my email each month, even after I have it In writing that we terminated services years ago. Total scam, terrible customer service. It's a lie on the brochure that you can "easily cancel any time." Lies, all lies.

This is a scam! These people are thieves- taking advantage of low ordinary people looking to save money on electricity. They charge me $481 for January 2025 when my average monthly bill from CMP is less than $90 monthly. I closed my account immediately and still got another $214 bill for February.This company should be reported to proper authorities.

This company came to my door and I stupidly accepted. They said I would be saving money on my electric bill. I signed up in 2022ish and I opened my account and it took them a year and a half to even “find” me a solar plant. By time I ended up moving to a new apartment and not even having any savings on bills I canceled my plan and they never informed me I would have to create a new account through my other electric company even tho I was still paying?!?! They need to be informed of their own Job!! They are uneducated in their own field and a horrible company. Highly do not recommend!!!
Very vague billing info
Very vague billing info. If you want to know how they calculate your bill, they refer you to each CMP bill. Arcadia doesn't bill monthly and out of the blue I got a $481 bill. I canceled because I think they are a RIP. If I cannot decifer how they bill, that's a major red flag! Also, why does it take 3 months for them to process a cancellation? I don't think the MPUC or the public advocate is protecting Maine Consumers by letting this company in the door. They have a lot of poor reviews.

DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT sign up for anything with these scammers! They told me I’d be saving money to sign up for their discounted energy prices and would NOT be charged. Well guess what. Two years later and I’m getting charged hundreds of dollars. They are liars and falsifying information! I called them and there’s basically nothing they can do and he said there would be more charges to come. They are praying on the weak here because in Maine our electric bills are very high and know that and tell you to sign up with them for “ free” to give you “discounts”. Not true! I haven’t seen them on my energy bill account at all and I have an inactive account with them!!! I hope you have a good bank who will work with you and get you your money back. Beware and run away fast when you see these lying scam artists low life idiots knocking at your door they are there to steal from you!!
I enrolled with Arcadia Community Solar…
I enrolled with Arcadia Community Solar on 9/27/2024. When an Arcadia representative came knocking on my door. On 10/11/2024. I reached out to Arcadia and requested to close all the accounts as I was no longer interested in their service. The rep (SUPRIYA) asked why I was "deactivating the account." I told her, Well, I want to close the accounts because I do not need them anymore. She mentioned it takes 90 days to have the account closed.
On Sunday, 2/9/25, I received a fraudulent charge of $3,054.37 from ARCADIA but was declined for insufficient funds. I called their number, 866.526.0083, but I was told they will look into it and get back to me. On Tuesday, 2/11/2025, I received a statement showing the charge of $3,054.37 had been reduced to $1,527.19. When I called to complain and find out why or what I was charged for since I cancelled the service on 10/11/2024 after enrolling on 9/27/2024.
The company is not what people think they are; they mentioned they help you save on electric bills, but that is not the case.
These were attempted fraudulent charges for services that never occurred or took place.
