I just had an exceptional shopping experience with this company: I’d been surfing online for a few days looking for Kahrs flooring and happened upon this co. - their price was the best by a long way and I thought it might be wrong so I called to check. It wasn’t. I placed an order at midday and received the flooring the following afternoon. The gentleman I spoke with was very knowledgeable, the service was excellent and they were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish - keeping me updated as to the driver’s ETA etc. Anyway, I feel compelled to say that in a world of retail-giant mediocrity, these folks are outstanding & really deserve this review and your call. I’m a happy customer - thank you!

For context, the second worst experience was over twenty years ago.

I chose Apple Flooring because I had previously received excellent service, but my second experience was very different. The fitting was repeatedly delayed without communication - I had to keep chasing for updates.

After noticing defects, I contacted the company and sent photographs but received no response. When I later posted a (3*) Google review with photos of the defects, I immediately received repeated calls (I think 6 in the space of 4 hours) and then a voicemail referring to “further action” if I didn't call the manager back, I personally found the experience upsetting and threatening. I felt pressured to remove the review and allow the company to return, despite no longer wanting to use them (and I won't in the future). Further appointments were missed before the repairs were eventually completed.

It was disappointing action was only taken after I left a review, and I found it shocking the way in which it was handled. I certainly appreciate things can go wrong. I've had that in the past and usually companies are fine about it. For me, the real shock was how my issues were ignored until I posted a Google review, and the level of contact and pressure I experienced afterwards simply because I'd shared my experience.

Unfortunately, after posting this, I experienced a similar response, receiving four attempts to contact me within around 30 minutes. I contacted Trustpilot support and told the manager in writing that he was welcome to respond to my review, or raise any concerns with Trustpilot. I also explicitly asked for all direct communication with me to stop and stated that I did not consent to further contact. Despite this, I received further correspondence 20 minutes later.

Based on my own experience, I would advise potential customers to consider not only the many positive reviews, but also how the company may respond if something goes wrong or if you leave a review they disagree with.

The staff are extremely helpful. We described what we were after and were guided towards a different product that would suit our needs better that we hadn't even considered (more hard-wearing and durable). The quality of the LVT flooring is exceptional. Compared to other flooring companies, the level of communication, attention to detail, reliability, and aftercare was exceptional. Nothing felt rushed, and no request was ever too much trouble. Their dedication to quality and customer satisfaction is rare to find these days.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Apple Flooring to anyone considering any type of flooring. If you're comparing suppliers, look no further as you will be wasting your time. Have used Apple Flooring for my own and customers own projects. The staff at both locations are so so helpful and customer focused.

The showrooms have everything and more than you would expect. The prices they offer to me and clients are ultra competitive. The product knowledge that both Mark & Denise have is amazing.

They always find a solution for me and go the extra mile for customer service.

It’s worth going to see both showrooms in Leigh and Basildon. You won’t be disappointed

Visited the Basildon showroom, great choice of flooring. Spoke to mark who were friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Ordered some flooring which was delivered and fitted on time. I would use them again for my next flooring needs.

Have used bothe the Leigh on sea and Basildon showroom on numerous flooring projects for myself and customers. All the staff have been helpful and informative and have always gone the extra mile. Thanks for all the help and advice you give.

Shambles from start to finish. 5 months from payment to completion. Work delayed. Products either not ordered or incorrectly placed. Fitter supplied not Amtico accredited. Fitter used expandable filler instead of glue. The result was damaged existing oak flooring, stained the laid carpet which was then fraying due to it being pulled up and then relayed. He poured scree down my toilet! Flooring laid with gaps, uneven surface, and brass not mitred. Explanation given, “you don’t have to be Amtico trained to lay, but confident in doing so”. No appeasement. Works now put right but no call from company to confirm satisfaction. However I was asked to sign a document which I refused as it was delivered as a satisfaction survey but appeared more as a waiver of any further comebacks to the company. I regret choosing this company and trusting them with my home. I would not recommend. Beware of fake reviews. One person here was majorly involved in my fitting and appears others are friends of the owners. Fake! The owner has repeatedly tried to intimidate me to take down my review on google which contained photos of the works completed. Mysteriously the review keeps being flagged which I keep having to dispute. I was also offered money to take down the review which I refused. I still have a carpet that isn’t fitted properly with pins poking through. I just wish I could post pictures on this platform
