hard to understand customer representatives
Quality clothing, exchanges can be difficult due to representatives thick accents. Multiple times I will need to end my call, and call back until I get someone I can understand. Several times my exchanges are messed up because of this.
Customer Service Rep
We need people who do not have a strong accent, who know about the 15% off first Tuesday. The person took so long to take the order, did not secure the color I wanted (desert sand) and by end or getting card number, the color was no longer available. I had to repeat myself several times, he didn't know about the first Tuesday deal, and it took way, way too long. **** why can't we have people we can feel we trust that can speak clear English? Is that too much to ask for?????
Had to pay for a stolen package
One star only because I can't give Zero stars. My package was sent (my mistake) to an old address. I immediately reached out to CS, but original agent put my chat on hold until the clock ran down and closing time arrived. I then sent a text message to please cancel item (it was not yet processing) but no one ever answered my text. I then called C.S and agent did try to cancel, but A.T did not cancel as requested. I did everything I could to intercept package (it wasn't eligible). I called the former leasing office where I lived and advised them my packaged had been delivered on 12/16 and to please have tenant bring to office. I made about 7 or 8 phone calls 22 to get my package from the current tenant, but tenant ignored phone calls and emails from leasing office and did not turn my package over. Now, A.T. has said I must pay for sweater even though it has obviously been stolen by current tenant (who obviously does not have my name). I will never again shop with them and will leave this same review everywhere I can.
Poor Ann
Poor Ann. It’s tough to be old. While I occasionally still buy from her, the old girl clearly cannot keep up with what it takes to provide its customers with a smooth online shopping experience. The delivery takes 10 days or longer. The return policy is 30 days, and, illogically, it starts with the day you PLACED the order, not when it was actually delivered. If you attempt a return, you receive no status communications. In my case, it was crickets 11 days after the item is mailed back. After checking with customer support, you discover Ann got confused and issued an e-credit, not a refund. Why, Ann, why? Didn’t we agree to refund to the original payment method? And by the way, Ann, where is that e-credit you claim you sent? I don’t have anything from you in my inbox. Perhaps, you sent it by a horse and a buggy? To make a long story short, Ann has finally agreed to credit back the original payment method, but she has set expectations: it might take her two weeks to do so.
I used to love Ann in her heyday. You can still occasionally glimpse her former beauty. A pair of pants I bought from her last month is well made. But I will not purchase from Ann Taylor again. And unless you have nothing else to do with your life than chase refunds, I recommend you don’t either. Like the Gilded Age, Ann is a thing of the past.

If I could submit this with no stars I would. After doing a personal banking audit, I found a pending charge from anntaylor.com#61 on a CC used only in emergencies and never leaves my house. I asked them to investigate the situation. Apparently, they don't care how they get paid, as long as they do.
The Phillipina countered that it's my banks responsibility, they would not investigate. These people are crooks ladies!
Disappointing Customer Service Over Small Price Adjustment
I recently placed an order with Ann Taylor, purchasing several items totaling $324.62. After applying a $50 discount, my final price was $274.62. The following day, I noticed that some of the items I purchased were further discounted. I reached out to customer service to request a price adjustment, which should have reduced my total to $259.65—a difference of $15.
Initially, I was informed that a ticket was submitted for the adjustment, and I would receive an email with details. After not receiving any updates, I contacted them again, only to be told that they had adjusted the price by just $3.45, rather than the correct amount. When I raised this issue, the representative responded indifferently, saying it was up to me whether I wanted to return the items.
Due to this disappointing experience, I’ve decided to return my entire order. While $15 may seem small, it’s the principle and lack of customer support that matter to me. Ann Taylor has not only lost this $274.62 sale, but also a regular customer who typically spends around $300 every month. I love the quality of their products, but experiences like this make me reconsider my loyalty to the brand.
Becoming a disenchanted AT customer
As a longtime Ann Taylor customer, I'm becoming disenchanted with their lack of available styles in petites. In addition, shopping online is time consuming - trying to click from one style to another or when trying to check out, their website moves as a glacial pace. It's not my equipment or my wifi as I've shopped online on my phone, laptop, work desktop, and my boyfriends computer. Step it up Ann.
Absolute disappointment - STAY AWAY
I was under the impression when I ordered, the items were coming from a warehouse near Toronto. When the package finally arrived about 2+ weeks after I ordered, it had come from a warehouse in China. I did not receive the shirt I ordered. And the bag I received was made incredibly poorly and of the cheapest possible garbage materials. So after requesting refund, it turns out I would have to send it back to the warehouse in China at my expense. I am disgusted with this store - completely disappointing experience. DO NOT order from this place. If I could rate it less than 1 star I surely would.

So disappointed in Ann Taylor, I normally buy from this brand a few times of the year because they stock petite sizes for work but never again.
I ordered a suit and realised less than five minutes later that I had ordered the size six instead of the size eight.
I checked to see they still had stock online - they did - and then emailed directly to the order/customer service to please provide me the size eight instead of the six.
They responded there were no exchanges, which is odd seeing that the product order had only minutes before been recieved and the correct size was in stock.
Zero customer service and as all good businesses stem from looking after their customers Ann Taylor will not have any left soon.

Watch those discounts
When shopping online, their website will show prices marked off/on sale, but when you put them in your cart sometimes the sale price is not reflected, sometimes it is, sometimes it is item dependent. BUT without fail, when I move from Cart to Checkout, all of the sale/discounts go back to full price. I don’t know if their site is terrible, or if it’s a big scam hoping you don’t notice, but either way I hate it.
Terrible Customer Service
Have a store credit for an online return that they said was a day late. Almost $200 and the credit will NOT work, not even with customer service. I will not be ordering from them again. As far as I am concerned, this is thievery. Maybe if they make it too hard to use, people will give up and they just keep the money. And this is after they took the shipping fee out of the refund!

I have visited stores at UTC and Ellenton outlet, Florida. Both place has staff that is rude and ignores you as you enter and exit both location. At UTC, the worker had her arms crossed as another went back and forth assisting in dressing room, neither greeted me or acknowledge my presence. The Ellenton location, both ladies were talking at register about their personal life, I was the only one in store, they both ignored me. Must be how they are trained. This is the only store I entered in the mall and was ignored.
My package went missing as I observed…
My package went missing as I observed the tracking stopped so I contacted AT via chat. To enter the chat it asked for my email address to pull up my account but Javier kept going back and forth with me for 20 minutes saying he couldn't find my order by my email address. It shouldn't be this long arduous process to report a missing package! AT has the worst customer service! Javier refused to help me then disappeared from the chat which stayed open for 30 minutes until he disconnected me without ever helping me!
Shipping Issues but Good Quality
I have ordered many things from Ann Taylor as their selection of items in petite sizes is unsurpassed. Sizing is a bit unpredictable but the clothing quality is for the most part, really good. There have been a few items that I felt weren't good quality but I should have looked at the fabric used more carefully before I ordered. My only complaint is with their shipping. I live in an apartment and they never put the apartment number on the shipment despite the fact I have it clearly stated in my online order address. I have complained about this but nothing has been done to correct it and each time, the order gets held up by UPS pending address verification.

Absolutely archaic order cancellation policy
Absolutely archaic order cancellation policy (sixty minute window). Placed my order, tried to cancel first thing the next day, the item has not shipped and isn't scheduled to arrive for another two weeks. Horribly inadequate policy that encourages customers to shop elsewhere; customer service has almost zero ability to effectively help customers.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Ordered two tops for a trip. Received email it shipped when in fact it was never shipped. After not receiving it and seeing on the tracking that it was note ever shipped, I called them three times and each time they lied and said it was shipped. Checking with UPS it was never shipped. I checked online and guess what—they sold out but still insisted it shipped when it didn’t.

Terrible experience, the items I ordered never arrived, after they were charged, I called and very bad customer service, a representative named Ann hung up on me. They wrote my address wrong. I called them again to complain and they told me that the items I had ordered were no longer in stock. I am still waiting for them to refund my money or send me other items. I will definitely never buy online from this company again and maybe not in their stores either.
