Not a site I recommend using!
I`ve always been a fan of Amsterdamstay, but for a long time now they have been absolutely absent with their customer service, live-help is closed (for good it seems) and no point in sending messages through their website, as they never answer. I did get hold of them by mail and they promised to help me with apartment availability, but I never heard back from them.
Apartments availability is never updated, you don’t get a reply from owners ether and AmsterdamStay seems to be a mess and nothing I will never again recommend friends and others by sosial-media.

Poor communication

Awful experience
Awful experience. Took money pre Covid for deposit and getting it back is impossible, they try to force you into using their properties, and try further to make you carry a portion of that to a future stay you may never want. Essentially tying you in, and keeping your money all the whole.
If you could get decent accommodation that wouldn’t necessarily be an issue but you can’t. I’ve had to send source properties after being told they would, and having done all their work for them, they still hold your money. I’ve then been told that my booking, which I finally resolved after several complaints and much time lost, that I can no longer stay there (9 days before I travel) as the building is being renovated. Thats not Amsterdam’s stays fault but their message was a blend shift dorky to the building owner, and not what I expect given the horrendous lack of support or service to date. I’ve had to source another place to stay and pay again whilst Amsterdam Stay still sit on hundreds of euros deposit of mine, and far from being
Proactive to resolve. I’ve just tried calling again but it would be easier getting hold of God himself. This maybe a one off but my interactions with them a very many, and each time they are extremely consistent in they they highly disappoint EVERY time! If I could give minus stars I would, they only get one so I can hopefully help even one poor soul f big through the worst customer service possible (there is none). I for one would rather stay in a bin than use them ever again!!!

Amazing Amsterdam
My son and his friends had an amazing time in Amsterdam. They loved the accomodation and the owner was very kind and helpful with his suggestions.

Our experience with booking with Amsterdamstay was easy and the apartment was great. Everything we needed for an excellent Amsterdam experience.
The Hideaway Amsterdam
Great apartment in a super-convenient location for my work and then the few days of leisure time I had. Apartment was very clean, very spacious (for four of us) and close by lots of interesting bars and restaurants in De Pijp area. Super and highly recommended.
City Garden Apartment
We loved this place! Very nice facilities. It was like home away from home and so much nicer than a hotel--we cancelled the Amsterdam Hilton for it, and we're glad we did. Bright and airy, with a well-equipped kitchen. Located close to the #1 Tram to Centraal Station, the museums, and other points of interest. Super market just two or three stops away and convenience store, bar, and coffee house within a couple blocks. Good wi/fi, nice set of TV channels in English. Charming host. Painless check in and check out. Nice shower room. Ground level, no stairs. Due to bad weather we couldn't use the garden but it was beautiful to look at through the big double doors. Private and indeed romantic. :) And, oh yeah, you can smoke if you got 'em. A great backdrop for an intimate experience in a wonderfully open-minded city.

Empire Flat - October 2016
Customer service and support from Amsterdam stay was excellent. Very easy booking process and very obliging.
The Empire Flat- Very clean, superb location, staircase not as bad as others in Amsterdam but still challenging. Close to busy shops/bars etc but very comfortable sleep. Extra bathroom is good but top floor doesn't have a WC so whoever sleeps there has to get to the ground floor during the night!
Smoking apartment but doesn't stink of smoke. Would definitely recommend and return.
Hollywood apartment stay
We visited Amsterdam last week for the second time using Amsterdamstay.com website to book an apartment. As usual the booking process was quick and problem free with communications of a very high standard. The Hollywood apartment we stayed at was first class and added to our holiday experience, Fantastic location and facilities made it a problem free visit, and the welcome from Mo the owner was first class at all times. We are looking forward to using both Amsterdamstay.com and Mo's apartment next year already.

Great Stay with Stay
We just returned from our stay in Amsterdam and want to share our views with other guests.
We booked a cannabis friendly place using AmsterdsmStay and I have to say we had a ball. Perfect place for us to chill out in and enjoy a few spliffs.
The name of the apartment was their Hollywood apartment and location location location was perfect, right overlooking Kloveniersburgwal canal just a few minutes walk to Rembrandt Square, a 5-minute walk to Nieuwmarkt square, a 10-minute walk to Dam Square and a 15-minute walk to Central station.
The location could not have been better. The Tram is a 5-minute walk and you can go everywhere on the tram. NIeuwmarkt has a Metro station which can bring you to Central station if you do not want to walk or you can also get a tram to Central station.
The apartment is full of Hollywood stuff, its everywhere. It has a playstation and games, big TV and lots of nick nacks to look at.
The kitchenette is ok, has a micro, hob, toaster, kettle and other bits.
would need a new frying pan but lots of pots and cutlery.
The shower room is small but cute , has original tiled floor , must be 100 years old or more but looks good., large sink and good shower pressure.
Wi-Fi good and strong.
Games , DVD's. playstation and games
Mo the house manager is a nice guy and lives in building so is around if you need assistance.
We had a great time and would recommend AmsterdamsStay for finding us the perfect place with all our requirements for the perfect Amsterdam stay.
Thanks Guys, we'll book again and recommend to our friends.

This is the second time I have used AmsterdamStay.com and am so happy I have. The first time was slick with no problems at all and the location was perfect. This second time I ended up needing to use the chat line to see whether the property I wanted was available (it was one of the properties where the owner controlled the usage.) I was able to book a location for a stay of a month in the area where I wanted to be and look forward to being there in April. Thanks for the good service and lots of properties to choose from!
Definitely recommend using AmsterdamStay
Through AmsterdamStay I found a lovely apartment at what I considered a reasonable cost. It turned out to just as it was in the photos. Everything went to plan, someone was waiting for us with the keys despite arriving slightly later than judged due to getting lost (our own fault). Only contacted AmsterdamStay once regarding storing our luggage on our last day before heading home and their advice was very helpful. I would most definitely use AmsterdamStay again if going back to Amsterdam.
