The service was amazing, Victor, the guy that go for us to the airport, was very kind and explain us everything about the service, the contract, the benefits and the options that we have with car. The insurance was good and it's included in the payment.

Avoid Avis. My deposit was never returned despite repeated promises. Months of calls and messages went unanswered, and no proof of refund was ever provided. I only recovered my money after filing a bank dispute. Extremely poor customer service and zero accountability.

We Rented multiple cars the pass two years, six months per year, the staff at the Tulum location are amazing. I would recommend this location to anybody looking to rend a vehicle. I also look forward to renting again for 2027

They are friendly and reliable. They have always honored every quote and the service is impecible. I am a solo woman renting a vehicle in a country I am not from and I am very comfortable renting cars from them.

Was a very good experience. Diego was attending us very professionell and friendly. Only always the gasoline is very low when they give you the car. Returning the car was no problem.

We recommand this car rental

We have made a reservation a month before our trip to Tulum. As we got there my husband handed him his discover card, he said we don’t expect Discover. The guy was so rude and we couldn’t ask him to take our Visa card. Now we had connecting flights from Pennsylvania and exhausted with a special needs daughter. He told us that the car we rented is not big enough for our three suitcases and he can’t change it, I told them when I was making the reservation, I told them we have three suitcases. Finally we took a taxi to take us to another rental car company in Tulum centro and rented a car. These people have no compassion, I would never rent a car from them, we go to Tulum at least twice a year.

We hired a car from ACR during a vacation in Tulum. We read the online reviews and thought they sounded like a professional and reputable company but it transpired their cars are in a terrible condition, virtually no security and they really don’t pride themselves on renting customers a safe and secure vehicle. Within the first 6 days of our car hire, I noticed that my car spare tyre was stolen from the boot. We were staying in a gated complex and only parked in secure parking at the beach so I have no idea when this could have occurred, however, it did. No evidence of forced entry was present on the lock and nothing else form the car was taken. Very odd if you ask me. On investigation, I can seen that this also happened to another America Car Rental customer just 2 weeks before our visit. I went to the garage and after looking at photos of the car on collection, it was evident that the spare tyre was not secured with the bolt and wing nut fastener. I feel incredibly frustrated and let down by ACR as this could have been prevented had the spare had all of the correct security in place. In addition to this, I am honestly shocked to find that the car had no remote central locking or alarm. We hired a 3 year old car that had 79,000 km on the clock and was, quite frankly, in pretty poor condition.

The car security features were clearly not up to standard and it is wrong that I was forced to pay $200 for an incident that had occurred due to the lack of basic security put in place by ACR.

Do not use them, they are crooks and basically set you up to be robbed then shirk all responsibility.
