Now I Remember Why I Don't Use This Company Often.
I have been a customer of Ambrose Wilson for many years and have never had any problems with them. In the past when you had a problem or needed to return an item all did was phone them or go online to generate a returns label. This now seems nigh impossible as you go to the `returns portal` and 9 times out of ten your order number doesn't get accepted. Went on to chat facility today for help only to be told if you experience problems with the return portal to contact their courier EVRI direct to arrange a return. What is the point of a returns portal if it doesn't work. Luckily anything I have bought in the past I have not needed to return but on this occasion where the item has been unsuitable it is impossible to make a return.
Useless, unprofessional Customer Services
Left hanging after some so called advisor went to check details. She didnt bother coming back. Tried again. Got the message ' An advisor will be with you shortly' An hour later and still nothing. Returned an item and still not recieved a refund to account. Trying to contact them is impossible, as Arrow Globalxl who collectd the item ( I have email comformation) are not even listed in the 'Who collected item' section where you send a query! A total shambles and meanwhile noone available that wants to help customers.
And the complex way they handle returns is laughable.

Don't buy from this company. I purchased a TV from this company and have been thoroughly disappointed with every aspect of their service. I paid for next day delivery which never happened, I then had a message from the courier to say the next available delivery date was in 4 days time which would have been Christmas Day - this would have been too late as it was a Christmas present so I went and bought another TV fro some where else. The next day the TV from Ambrose Wilson turned up so I had to take the second TV I bought back - thankfully this was quite easy as this one wasn't from an website online. When we unboxed the TV on Christmas Day it was damaged, again very disappointing. The support has been very slow at getting back to me so I phoned a paid number this morning for 40 minutes and then was cut off while been transferred. During the phone call I told them the item was damaged so they put me through to an outsourced company for technical support who told me there was nothing they could do as the item was damaged (which is what I explained in the first place) and when they transferred me that's when I got cut off. I am no further down the line with returning the item and still waiting for someone to get back to me. The whole process has been totally frustrating, time consuming and costly with next day delivery charges and paid phone calls. I will never use this company again and would advise anybody else to do the same thing.

Awful customer services do not buy from them. I purchased a chest of draws but all parts missing for the four draws. Six phones calls, endless live chats and emails that’s they don’t respond to and I still do not have the parts. In addition they use EVEI, every delivery I have to chase because EVRI have either lost or delivered the parcel to the wrong address. This evening on live chat with the message “your up next” it’s been over an hr and there are no advisors!
FRAUD
I had an unknown item delivered to me on 6th December. Rang them on 7th December to report it as I never ordered this item nor did I even open an account, I was advised the would call me back on 24 hours - no call . I’ve never heard of this company in my life! They advised they have closed the account & investigating due to fraud. 1 week later I have not heard anything but today now have received a welcome letter with my credit limit on!! I have been chasing this for 2 weeks now. Looking at other reviews it looks like this company uses people’s details to fraudulently open accounts! I will be taking this further.

Went on customer service live chat been on a hour still not spoken to an agent i was 29 in queue down to 7 then back up to 644 then from 6 to 7 then I was next then said 2 ahead of me saying I am next been like that for about 10 minutes still no joy in total I have been on for over an hour I will not be buying anything from them again with this type of service
Incompetent
Incompetent! After ordering a parcel which was for collection to an Evri collection point I had to ring Ambrose Wilson twice as the parcel was lost in transit and never left Evri's warehouse. Despite them eventually refunding me for the goods that I never received i have now been charged over £20 for 2 short phone calls trying to resolve an issue that wasn't my fault due to their extortionate call rates.
The online customer services are equally as bad as they clearly don't read previous messages when replying to you.

Ordered a Google Pixel 4 45mm WIFI…
Ordered a Google Pixel 4 45mm WIFI watch advertised at £350.00. Order was cancelled and money returned. Got an "Acknowledgment for your order" email, in other words, a binding contract, but they reneged - illegally.
"We're writing to let you know that your order has been cancelled because the order didn't meet our internal requirements."
This is legal nonesense.
Ambrose Wilson lure you to your website with great offers, only to renege on them afterwards.

What a foul company! I received completely unsolicited and and unwanted a parcel of expensive cosmetics and a letter saying I was their customer. I'm not. There was no return slip enclosed, so I rang them and they said they would arrange for the parcel to be collected. They didn't. Eventually I worked out how to send the parcel back. I sent them a letter by recorded delivery but they've not replied to it.
Their latest statement recognises they have the products back but says I owe them for administration expenses. They intend to harass me, I suppose, in the forlorn hope I shall pay them. Which I won't!
