We used Alexander Hall when purchasing our first home and had James help us from beginning to end and since then, James has helped us to remortgage. The service has been incredible, with James being extremely attentive and helping us through every step of the way. James is always on hand to help with questions and has made both the buying and remortgaging processes run smoothly! Last week I had an initial call with a male (was unfortunately unable to catch a name) customer service representative from Alexander Hall regarding protection options.

While the conversation started politely, it quickly felt more sales-driven than expected, with an early focus on emotive topics (e.g. death) and pushing a follow-up call with another adviser, rather than taking time to understand my situation in detail.

Explanations weren’t always clear, and I didn’t feel confident I was being given balanced or tailored advice. When I asked questions, I didn’t feel they were fully addressed, which made the interaction feel somewhat one-sided.

Overall, it didn’t come across as a genuine advisory experience, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable proceeding based on this interaction.

Patrick explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. Highly recommend.

Liane Singh was quick to respond and pro-active in securing a better rate whilst I was in the process of buying.

We also had to work with tight timelines towards the end in order to complete and she was great at escalating the issue with my lender.
