Awful Manager at Meath hospital Primary. Avoid and go to Vincents or Blackrock. I left without getting my MRI and wouldn't go back there if you paid me. Felt sorry for the poor lady working beside her. So rude - almost threatening.
Arrogant and dismissive
I received a phone call this morning, the company wished me to submit credit call details over the phone and significant other personal details without any confirmation of who they were, any question i asked received an, we cannot answer that due to gdpr, but ware happy to ask anything they wanted , including credit card details,when i said i was leaving for holidays they said as i had already hung up on them once (i had not..i had a dropped call 20 seconds before this call. i had initiated a call back during which i received their second call, but was told that as i had obviously hung up before , i would have to ring them for an appointment.. i shall endeavor to find a less arrogant company.

Impossible to get a receipt
Trying to get a receipt for a scan already done and paid for is like trying to get a golden ticket to Willie Wonkas chocolate factory. Also the app doesn't work, I can only access my account on my computer. The scan itself was fine but they let themselves down with such terrible customer service .
Nobody qualified available to answer a couple of simple questions about an MRI
Any facility is only as good as their procedure when a patient had a question or a problem. That's where a facility shines or fails. Everything going perfectly - anyone can do that. And unfortunately, Affidea fails miserably when it comes to customer service.
I have a question about an MRI. There is nobody available to answer any questions. There is a call center that might just as well be a robot voice as all they do is book and take money over the phone. And I have to pay for the pleasure because they don't offer a landline number.
I'm told I can send an email - with a question that involves private medical information? Are you kidding me, when you are clearly outsourcing patient data outside of Ireland. The only way to speak to someone competent ist - DRIVING to the clinic, walk in and talk to someone. What a joke, that is not a patient centred modern medical facility.

Absolutely joke,why you first want payment,and after this to try to find way to return.Second if you pay already it's mean I can choose what I want. Somebody make mistake with wish part of body must make MRI,I run away from work,just for MRI,and they turn me down(I already paid)because wrong part on documents. I must call my doctor and organise everything from began.If I paid and know where I have problem why just don't do it.
Customer service are disgusting
They outsource call centre. I don't know what country the people are the most ignorant rude disgusting viral people I've ever dealt with in my entire life. I would avoid at all costs if you're paying private there's so many other options why would you go to somebody that doesn't want your business. They lie they Don't care give you wrong information and if you question anything they hang up.

My experience of undergoing my MRI scan at Affidea in Northwood, Santry was exceptional!
From the moment my GP sent the referral, every step of the process was highly efficient and patient centered.
Firstly, I was very nervous and the lady at reception who greeted me was very nice and calm.
The Radiographer Aid “Alison” who escorted me to the MRI area was so lovely. Her warm personality, additionally made me feel at ease.
The Radiographers who looked after me “Gift and Miroslav” were really genuine and showed sincere compassion.
MRI can be very daunting with the noise and the stereotype small spaces. However they explained everything to me about the scanner. They have a new MRI scanner at Northwood which is much bigger and wider in diameter. This automatically gave me piece of mind.
The Radiographer also kept talking to me throughout the scan and played my favorite music. All these little things really go a long way.
I am very grateful to the whole team at Northwood Affidea. It is a credit to the Management of this company and there is not a tiny detail left out of place in the whole process.
Consequently, I would just like to add to the cleaner’s that I noticed the whole place in Affidea is “Ultra Clean”. You could eat your dinner off the floor as they say !!
It’s also really cool having your MRI images on the App! It gives extra options for Consultants abroad especially with the HSE cross border/health care abroad scheme where the MRI images can be emailed !
Long waiting time for MRI
My daughter had an appointment in Drogheda for MRI scan. The appt was for 14.20pm and she finally got her scan at 15.12.
To be fair we were told that they were running 20 mins late. I think that we are paying a lot for insurance and for this scan and this service is not running efficiently. This length of a wait this time is a first.
Refund withheld. Zero customer service.
Refund still outstanding three weeks later. Appalling customer service. Emails unanswered, calls not returned. Do not use this company - they have no complaints process and impossible to get answers. Agents available to take payment but not one available to deal with concerns.
Terrible. Go elsewhere.
Terrible. Had a scan 10 day ago. Scans were returned to my doctor in good time. And my doctor called me with the results. All good so far. As part of the service Affidia are supposed to provide me with the scans in order that I can forward to my consultant. I got a text notification with a link to my phone. Clicked the link and put in my date of birth as required. The link said that I was not recognised on their data base. Couldn’t get anyone in customer service. No problem if you want to pay. Loads of people to answer the phone. Worst service I have ever experienced. Go elsewhere. This is a serious medical scan and they really don’t care. €400.00 later…!
Don't use Affidea go to an A&E
I did not realise that they would take so long in this day and age to report on an MRI. I was scanned on 15th June for a back injury and my Doctor has still not received a report and I am still in a lot of pain but nothing can be done till this report is sent, today it is the 27th and still no result. I will never use this crowd again. Total waste of money.

I'm now sitting with my elderly mother at Affidea Cork ... Appointment for 1200 advised to be here 20mins before..we checked in at 1125 and sat in waiting area. . as time approached her appointment time, others arrived after us .. to be taken in before my mother!!! I went to complain at reception to see if we were on the list as 2 had been taken before us .. assured we were on list .. radiographer came and called us .. asked us if we were aware that our appointment was for 1205 .. I said yes at 1200 .. by this time it's 1210 anyway ... And 2 others taken before us ..crazy system
Fabulous Service
I was referred by my GP for a wound that needed stitching. 2 hours in and out. Roisin and Dean in Cork were fabulous. So thorough and caring in every way. Front desk really kind and efficient too. And no charge because I was referred by my GP. Tony
Rude reception staff
I was a bit stressed over an unpleasant receptionist at Rockfield Medical Center in Dundrum. She was chewing her nails and took her time before asking if I was ‘okay.’ (It’s safe to assume that everyone approaching the reception is checking in.) I don’t know her name, but she wears a necklace with the Sagittarius sign. In my opinion, Affidea should invest in more pleasant reception staff to better reflect their values.

I will never deal with this company again. They are the most unprofessional and uncaring company I've ever had the misfortune to come into contact with. Despite assuring me that my scan would be dealth with in an efficient and prompt manner, nothing could be further from the truth. I rang on 7 separate occasions and sent 4 emails to try and get someone to talk to me about my scan report. Nobody ever returned my calls or acknowledged my emails. It is absolutely impossible to speak with anyone in authority......they just don't want to know. I would urge anyone who is thinking about dealing with Affidea to think again!!! If ever a company needs to be investigated Affidea most definitely ticks that box.

My GP sent the referral a month ago. I've been waiting for an appointment, when I start calling them to ask about it they proved to be really unprofessionally, rude and dismissive people.
This is absolutely unacceptable in the health sector !!!

Be kinder to elderly patients!
Affidea say on their website 'Compassionate towards patients'! in our experience this does not apply if you're an 87 year old lady suffering from osteoarthritis in her hips and back. Our Mother was left very upset and in pain. From
the first phone call, which woke our Mother from her sleep and the caller expected her to be fully coherent and comply with her demands, to having her lying on an MRI bed for 30 mins without a break between scans, which left her in pain 5 days later, her treatment was appalling. Please remember when calling and dealing with elderly patients to have patience and compassion for them, treat them the way you would like your relatives treated!
