Our recent hike in October 2025 to Everest Base Camp with the amazing RAJENDRA KHATRY as our guide was an unforgetable experience of a life time. RAJ'S professionalism, deep local knowledge, safety focus, and personalized care of us as a group and individually was second to none! He delivered exceptional support, cultural insights, and advise when chosing great food and made sure we were super comfortable in our lodging. During our trek to EBC I celebrated my birthday in Nepal, RAJ made sure I had a wonderful day by organising a birthday cake to celebrate. We highly recommended our guide RAJENDRA KHATRY as a guide for transforming our trip into an unforgettable, safe, and well-organized adventures, he is the best ever!! Thank you again RAJ and for picking us up from the airport, such a suprise and great to have a friendly familiar face as your made our journey amazing back in 2024 also. Well be back to Nepal again!! Throughout 2nd October 2025 - 21st October 2025, I had the pleasure to join the Everest High Passes with Island Peak Climb trek by Ace the Himalaya with Deepak (Guide), Girija (Porter), and Pemba (Climbing Sherpa). I absolutely fulfilled my dream of trekking in Himalaya, reaching Everest Base Camp, and summit Island Peak.

Deepak led the trip with his deep expertise and understanding of the trek, terrains, mountains, and the communities. Deepak managed our mountain flight to Lukla, daily tea houses accommodation, and pre-trek briefing really efficiently, and Deepak always provides concise and positive communication throughout the trek. Deepak is warmhearted and knowledgeable, my questions were always well answered by him. Deepak always keeps reminding us to do the right things to stay away from the altitude sickness, and he encouraged us in the long trekking days. Deepak managed the communication between us and the tea houses, so we always have pleasant interactions with the local people and community (very important!) I felt very safe to have Deepak as my guide. Girija carried our duffle back and ensured our room is ready when we arrive tea houses. I cannot fulfill my Himalaya dream without their help.

Words can’t express my gratitude. I highly recommend Ace the Himalaya and Deepak to everyone who wants to experience Nepal and its mountains to the fullest.

Just completed the Everest Base Camp trek! I reached EBC on 3rd October 2025, and it was honestly one of the best experiences of my life. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to share it with!

Our incredible guide Maddy, along with our amazing porters Sher, Deepak, and Anil, went above and beyond to make sure our journey was safe, fun, and unforgettable. I was also lucky to trek with six wonderful ladies, and we all got on so well which made the experience even more special.

Maddy was absolutely brilliant, knowledgeable, caring, funny, and always putting our safety first. He kept us well informed throughout the trek and even captured some stunning photos (which was especially handy for a group of girls!).

Sher, Deepak, and Anil were absolute stars, hardworking, kind, and always willing to help with a smile. It is a tough job, but they made it look effortless.

The day after reaching EBC, we ran into some bad weather, but Maddy quickly came up with a plan to get us back to Lukla safely. What could have been a stressful situation turned into an unexpected adventure as we all got to share a helicopter ride back together with the whole team. It was an unforgettable way to end the trek.

A huge shoutout to ACE the company as well. Their communication and planning were top notch from start to finish. My trip was even delayed by two weeks due to protests, and ACE rearranged everything smoothly without any hassle.

I am so grateful for this incredible experience with ACE, Maddy, Sher, Deepak, and Anil. I cannot recommend them enough. If you are planning the EBC trek, ask for this dream team! 🙏💪❤️

We just completed our Everest Base Camp trek with my wife and friends, and it was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life.

Trekking to Everest Base Camp with ACE the Himalaya was incredibly special. A huge thank you to Team Ace for their professionalism, expertise, and dedication. Their deep knowledge of the mountains and weather conditions made the journey seamless and safe.

From start to finish—14 days of adventure—the communication and time management were excellent. Sujan and the admin staff Binod and all helped us prepare everything from Sydney, ensuring we were well-equipped for the trek. Prem’s briefing on Everest Base Camp trekking was invaluable, boosting our confidence and morale before setting off.

Our guide, Ram—the ultimate fitness guru—was a calm and reassuring presence throughout. Walking with him was a pleasure, and his experience made all the difference. He took excellent care of us, checking our oxygen levels nightly to monitor acclimatization and keeping our spirits high. Thanks to Ram’s constant encouragement, we felt safe and supported every step of the way.

Accommodation was fantastic, and the food was amazing—Dal Bhat truly powered us for 24 hours! Ram ensured we had the best rooms and meals, always advising us on what to eat, keeping us hydrated, and making sure we rested well.

The porters – Ratna ,Maji, Kalika, were incredible.No matter how challenging the conditions, they always had smiles on their faces and went above and beyond to help us. Their kindness was extraordinary—even taking the extra step of filtering our water so we didn’t have to rely on bottled water during the trek.

Special thanks to Ramesh for taking care and staying with us during return trip to Kathmandu.

Mera Peak 2025— Rajendra Kathry (guide)

This is my second time with ACE the Himalayas. The first time was 2017 doing EBC with the same lead guide as I chose to do Mera Peak with this time. The company is efficient, clear communication and more affordable than competitors! I felt safe and well taken care of.

My guide the amazing Rajendra Kathry or Raj along with our porters Hem and Pesal Rana Magal took such great care of us, every step of the way.

Raj went above and beyond for us! He even hiked from Khare to Mera Peak high camp with us to make sure we are cared for, tents food etc.

Our climbing guide was Pemba Sherpa who with his wife again took such great care of us at Mera Alpine lodge. He was so patient and caring!

I have to point out as well that ACE The Hilamaya’s use of Katadyn filters to provide us safe drinking water on the trek is amazing! I believe in LEAVE NO TRACE principle and this is a leap towards that. Decreasing plastic and trash along the mountain is win win.

I would definitely do an adventure with them again. Raj thank you for being the best!

Dal Bhat Power 24 hours!!!!

Had a wonderful experience with Ace The Himalaya. Made very special by our guide Milan and porter TingTing. Milan was knowledgable, friendly and made me feel very safe and welcomed on the trip. I suffered with altitude sickness after base camp and Milan offered to carry my bag for me and gave me amazing first aid treatment to help with my altitude sickness, he really helped me when I was feeling really ill. Milan knew so much about the Everest region and was constantly telling us information about all the different mountains. He went above and beyond to make sure our trip was an experience not to forget!

Our porter Tingting was also amazing, he was so friendly and funny and he really made our trip special, he went above and beyond for us, would always chat to us when we were struggling and cheer us up with jokes, he has such an infectious personality that makes you feel welcomed. He acted as an assistant guide and really took on the role with ease, often guiding us to the next village and sharing facts about the mountains we were passing.

Milan and Tingting are both assets to Ace The Himalaya and I couldn’t recommend them more.

I had a great experience with Ace the Himalaya and specifically our guide Milan. We didn’t have to worry about a thing as everything was perfectly organised from picking us up at the airport to the finer details on the EBC trek. Milan was very knowledgable and was able to answer any questions I had. I felt very safe with him and he was great when I fell ill and my friend got altitude sickness. He was able to recommend what was safe to eat at each restaurant the whole way up which proved invaluable and was always so approachable and nice. I don’t think we could have hoped for a better guide than Milan.

I’d also like to shout out our porter Ting Ting who essentially acted as a second guide looking after us. Our group walked at two different paces which could have been problematic however Ting Ting took it upon himself to walk slower than the other porters (which I can imagine was extremely hard) so he could walk at our pace and look after us. When my friend got altitude sickness he ended up carrying not only 2 duffle bags but my friend’s backpack as well. He was very knowledgable about the mountains along the way, pointing out the different names and was straight on to helping us order at the restaurants and sorting out our water etc.

Additionally, Ting Ting accompanied us on the acclimatisation treks and to Kala Patthar which he didn’t have to do as a porter, but it really made our experience better and us feel safer knowing we had two people so knowledgable nearby if anything was to go wrong.

Our group had two other porters called Govinda and Sohan who we didn’t see as much as they were so busy lugging our heavy duffle bags between locations however when we did see them in the mornings they were always so polite and eager to help close our bags (which trust me was HARD) and help move them out of our room to the collection points.

Overall Milan, Ting Ting and the other porters made the trip great and I can’t think of any complaints. I would really recommend Ace the Himalaya if you’re looking to book an Everest trip.

We had done a lot of research on tour companies, and we’re so glad we chose Ace The Himalaya. It started with Sujan at head office, who responded so quickly via WhatsApp to my initial request for information, and thereafter answered all my questions with much patience. Accommodation in Kathmandu and along the trek was extremely important to me – Sujan worked with me to ensure I was happy with the hotels and lodges of our trip. He assured me reservations were made, and those would be the places we’d be staying at. He was true to his word. I couldn’t quite get the same guarantee from the other tour companies.

It was apparent to us that Ace has built quite an extensive network of excellent guides and porters, and also great vendor relationships (with hotels, teahouses, helicopter companies, airlines, etc.). They used this to successfully pivot and respond to several unexpected changes that happened during our trek. We saw this in action first-hand – e.g. when our plane ride from Ramecchap/Manthali to Lukla was cancelled due to bad weather, and we decided to helicopter to Lukla; when we wanted to skip the overnight in Lukla on the return journey, and go directly to Kathmandu instead; and when flight cancellations affected other Ace groups as well as their guides and porters – what a hassle and nightmare to coordinate all the pieces, but Ace successfully managed to get the different groups back on track with their treks - no small feat! We also saw that the guides and head office were in constant communication.

Our guide was Sushanta. I cannot say enough great things about him!!! He looked out for us all – from keeping an eye on my son’s oxygen level and heart rate, to accurately assessing and accommodating our various abilities and paces, to noticing my backpack’s load and straps were uneven and required adjusting. I was the slowest, but he never rushed me, always reminded me that slow was the way to go, to stop and take as many pictures as I wanted, and to enjoy the Himalayas. He would point things out to us and was a fountain of knowledge, and knew the names and altitudes of the surrounding mountains (his favourite Mt. Pumori also became our favourite!). He would call ahead to the lodges to let them know we were coming and to confirm that our rooms would be ready. He was also our photographer and videographer, and took some fantastic photos and videos of us. And the icing on the cake (literally), Sushant went above and beyond to orchestrate a cake to cut and eat at Base Camp to celebrate a fellow trekker’s milestone birthday!

Kalika was our Sherpa. He would often lead the way, making sure we were going nice and slow. He worked so tirelessly, constantly ensuring our comfort. Bhupal and Sher were our porters – we would often be together during rest breaks. They accompanied us to Base Camp, and brought the birthday cake. I struggled a lot on that last leg, and I appreciated that they kept a constant eye on me, and even offered to carry my backpack.

Together, it felt like we were one big family. Truly, it was thanks to this amazing Ace team that not only did we all make it successfully to Base Camp, but we all enjoyed the journey there. They made it an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank-you so very much Sushant, Kalika, Bhupal and Sher!

The most incredible trip! I went with 6 of my friends and Krish our guide and Shukra our porter were just amazing, couldn't recommend them enough! They truly made our trip so much better and we couldn't have done it without them! Very special memories 🫶🏼

It was a great experience doing the EBC trek with Ace the Himalayas. They took care of all the details and were very attentive to everyone needs. I appreciate not having to worry about anything. The accommodations improved towards the end which was a nice way to finish the trek. Madan Kandel was a great guide and the 3 porters, Jit, Gobinda and Jiban were a great addition to the team.

This was one of the best experiences of my life. Something that will stick in my mind forever. Milan has done an excellent job managing the group and the trip.

If it were possible to give 6 stars, Raj Kumar would absolutely deserve it. He was our guide on the Everest Base Camp trek with Ace the Himalayas, and he made the entire experience truly unforgettable.

Raj is everything you could hope for in a guide – incredibly knowledgeable, kind, funny, and endlessly positive. His passion for the mountains and the people who live there is contagious, and he created an environment that was both safe and full of joy. When I began experiencing light symptoms from the altitude, Raj was right there, closely monitoring me, offering support, and providing the necessary medication. I felt completely cared for and reassured in his presence.

Reaching Everest Base Camp on Sunday, April 13th, was a dream come true – something I’ve envisioned for years – and I feel so privileged that Raj was there to share that moment with me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Raj.

I also want to express my deep gratitude to our amazing porters, Prabin and Bal. Without you, this trek would not have been possible. Your strength is nothing short of superhuman. I was in awe of you every day – thank you for everything.

Ace the Himalaya, as well as our incredible guide Milan and three porters, Anil, Ramesh & Prabin, completely exceeded our expectations for this trip and they went above and beyond in so many ways.
Milan is without a doubt the most amazing guide and we feel truly SO lucky to have had him for our trek. Having Milan as our guide is what made our trip so memorable and his passion, extensive knowledge, care, motivation and positivity was present every second of everyday. We felt so safe and confident in Milan’s care, always happy and willing to help, and we thank him from the bottom of our hearts for absolutely everything he did for us.
We couldn’t have asked for more kind, happy, caring, helpful porters, always positive with a smile on their faces and eager to help in anyway they could. I just completed the 12 day trek over to EBC and I had the time of my life! I did a lot of research before booking a company and I can honestly say I am being thankful I decided to go with ACE! Also my guide was MILAN and he was the absolute best! What a true professional at his craft and he was ready to help us with whatever we needed no matter the day or time thanks to him my experience was absolutely amazing and ACE is very lucky to have him as a guide. Our porters were also amazing! Anil was next level helpful. He assisted Milan with everything and was always checking on everyone to make sure we were all ok and walking at a good pace. If our bags where too heavy or if we were sick and couldn’t carry our bags, he would take them from us and carry the extra weight himself. The two other porters Prabin and Ramish were also amazing. If Milan or Anil were not present they both stepped in to make sure we were all okay and help wherever was needed. Overall I am beyond happy with ACE and if you go with this company please request Milan, he is the absolute best!!

Everest Base Camp – February 2025 with Ace the Himalaya

Choosing Ace the Himalaya (ATH) was based on their reputation, reviews, and commitment to the local community and environment. Yes, they are pricier than some, but their 19 years of experience ensures a seamless, well-supported trek where every detail is taken care of.

Exceptional Guides & Support

Our guide, Milan, and sherpa, Sher, were outstanding—knowledgeable, flexible, and always ensuring our needs were met. When I developed a cold and cough, they provided medication and support, preventing it from affecting the ascent. Milan also rearranged flights and accommodation when we decided to descend faster from Gorak Shep to Lukla in two days—a testament to ATH’s excellent organization.

Altitude & Diamox – A Personal Choice

My trekking partner started Diamox from Kathmandu (125mg twice daily), while I only began at Dingboche (4,400m) under Milan’s guidance. Both approaches worked, but if I did it again, I might start earlier. We saw trekkers without Diamox struggling with headaches and nausea, so hydration (3-4L daily), electrolytes, and a proper ascent plan are essential.

Meals, Accommodation & Challenges in February

Food was varied and well-prepared, though we avoided meat after seeing how it was transported. Teahouses were basic but clean, with no hot showers beyond Namche, making it hard to warm up in -35°C conditions. Proper gear—a quality sleeping bag and warm layers—is a must.

Connectivity & Costs

WiFi is available at teahouses but gets expensive the higher you go. Essentials like snacks and drinks cost significantly more at altitude, so stock up in Namche to save money.

Final Thoughts

Trekking in February is physically and mentally demanding but offers serenity, fewer crowds, and breathtaking snow-covered landscapes. If you want a warmer, more comfortable experience, try March-May.

Ace the Himalaya exceeded expectations—highly recommended!

My friends and I did the 14 day hike to Everest Base Camp and it was absolutely amazing. The experience was made so much better and easier due to our guide Rajendra Neupane and our two porters Gombu and Peshal who were calm, cool and collected and supported us through many ups and downs.

Rajendra was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and was genuinely so easy to have as our guide. When one of our group (me!) got altitude sickness Raj lept into action and kept myself and the rest of the group safe and we still had an awesome trip.

We had the best trip hiking to EBC with our guide Rajendra Neupane who when things went a bit awry handled the situation with a calm attitude and quick decision making! He made us all feel safe and let us enjoy the hike to the utmost! Our porters Gombu and Peshal were exceptional! They helped out not only with carrying bags but helping when one of our group got sick and getting us to lower altitude, helping with food and all around vibes with the group! All in all the team were awesome and we had a great time!
