Absolutely horrible service, my husband recently passed and I have sent in information. I have not received a status or a phone call and it’s been almost 2 months since he has passed. They received the certificate but I still see they are charging my husbands account for monthly payments. Wouldn’t recommend.

After my father passed I located several vital physical documents he had left in a filing cabinet with very little context. As the "Successor Trustee" for my dad's TRUST I contacted AAFMA to determine next steps on a very old insurance statement I had located. After corresponding with Megan and Jennifer I was given very clear direction and my claims were filed quickly and successfully, which is contrary to other experiences I have recently had with financial institutions and other insurance policies my dad had initiated prior to his passing. Megan and Jennifer were outstanding with their professionalism, compassion and expediency during this tough time for me, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Phenomenal in this age of no personal intervention for customers, AAFMAA still has personal service just as they did when I joined 46 1/2 years ago!

I have an AAFMAA life insurance policy that I bought 30 years ago. I do not use any of their other services and would not because there are better alternatives. However, the purpose of this review is to simply state that AAFMAA at one time had a very simple and straightforward website that was structured for the client and easy to navigate. Now it is clear that AAFMAA has gone the way of many other financial services websites and have made their site all about advertising. It is so convoluted that I could not find my account information that at one time was easily identifiable on the opening log on page. It is sad that there does not seem to be any consideration of what is good and beneficial for the client. They are now all about pitching their products rather than serving their clients.

Really need to be more upfront on process, explain the various documents being signed. THey need to actually know the docs being presented, and the underwriters need to 100% be flexible. It's always easy to say no when you have no real skin in the game besides a paycheck

Their policies give me peace of mind for after I’m done with active duty. Their CAP loan program is super helpful what you need a bit extra to get you through unexpected expenses.

Everything is fine and dandy, with AAFMA, as long as you stay well but no matter how active and alert you are, if you have term life over 70 years of age, have had the service for over 5 years, and happens to get an illness they will drop you like a hot potato, or raise it so high you can't afford to keep it. That's how they did my retired military Vet husband and, and I'm sure they would do me the same.
