Do not ever book with these guys

Do not ever book with these guys. They will not refund you under the COVID pandemic. The booking was protected under ATOL , which hasn’t made a difference at all.
We paid £4794 in total to watch England v italy in March. We only managed to get £3500 paid under section 75 on the credit card claim scheme , not there monies. And are still awaiting the rest. It was booked over 12 months ago.

ZERO STARS

ZERO STARS - same with our Six Nations Booking. Still waiting for my refund. Attitude of the agents deplorable - “IF YOU WANT A REFUND YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT” etc. These scammers need educating on how to respond politely and professionally. Will NEVER use these crooks or Secret Escapes again - I booked through SE and then received notification that my contract was with WCS. Would never have booked this otherwise.

Deposit and ticket money being witheld

Along with many others I have received poor service and response regarding a refund for the cancelled 6 nations match in Rome. And after reading all tje posts below it looks like I am not the only 1.

When this was cancelled in March, Worldchoice Sports used the excuse that as they were not in the office they would not be able to issue any refunds - but they did ask for the tickets to be returned to them.

Since then it has been a constant stream of excuses as to why they will not refund the full amount - even though they issued a full invoice which clearly states £500 deposit received!

As many have found - they are refusing to repay the £500 deposit that we had paid to Secret Escapes.

I have contacted Secret Escapes and they have been extremely helpful in trying to resolve this but as the deposit money has been paid by them to Worldchoice Sports the contract to refund is with Worldchoice Sports.
Looking at the ABTA website there is clear guidance that any refund credit note must be for the exact amount that is owed as refund - which leads me to believe this was a cynical move to avoid repayment.

When I contacted Worldchoice Sports with this information we received a curt one liner reply that 'their MD had agreed with Secret Escapes MD on the repayment' - so we contacted the Secret Escapes MD of European Operations and he replied that we are not the only ones being told this and that the deposit monies had been paid on to Worldchoice Sports and therefore they are contractually bound to process the full refund.

After a further email to Worldchoice Sports in July I have heard nothing back at all otjer than an automated email response.

Yesterday 4th Sept an email from WCS saying that SE are paying out the deposit money, when I sent that respone to SE they said no thats wrong and it should be WCS refunding, absolute joke someone has my deposit, I suppose next its legal action?

Zero stars, I am not going to repeat my story because its exactly the same as the last nine posts....but it looks like WCS have done a runner with the secret escapes deposits....Maybe we should crowdfund and take them to court together...they do not deserve to keep trading! They have no respect for their customers. Do they realise that without customers there is no business!!
DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY!!!!

Please be assured that we have not done a runner with your - or anybody else's - money.
We have been working hard to ensure that all customers receive any monies owing to them.
As you paid your deposit to a third party whom we have in turn refunded, the onus lies with them to refund you.

As we are sure you can appreciate, we are in an industry which has been hit especially hard by the pandemic and we are refunding all of our customers when we have received the returned funds from our suppliers. Similarly, we are refunding our customers and suppliers in due course. Third party agents who have supplied us booking deposits have been repaid and should repay you.

Terrible Customer Service

So disappointed with the level of customer service I have received from this company. I have been incredibly patient and understanding of the difficult situation they face, but I am being lied to and ignored. I booked 3 nights in Rome through Secret Escapes including England v Rome rugby tickets. I have received part of the money back, but I am still waiting for £100 refund for my tickets and £500 for the original deposit. I keep being fobbed off and was told that it is nothing to do with World Choice Sports, even though my holiday is with them. If there is a dispute between World Choice Sports and Secret Escapes it is terribly unfair that I remain £600 out of pocket while they pass the buck and fail to get it resolved. I understand that I am entitled to a full refund for a package holiday and that this has still not been provided after 5 months is disgusting.

World choice did I read this right all refunds have been processed. I don't thinks so we are still waiting for the £100 ticket refund and also we paid Secret Escapes our deposit which we have not got back Secret Escapes terms and conditions state our contract is with yet you keep fobbing us off saying secret escapes. You really need to stop lying to your customers and get it sorted. We are owed £600 and these difficult times we need it back!!!! Terrible customer service and now lies.

Mr Mrs Chambers travel date 13th March to Italy.

Terrible Customer Sevice

I am unsure I have ever received such poor customer service before.

We booked a 4 night break in Rome with tickets to the England v Italy rugby game via Secret Escapes and World Choice Sports which was cancelled due to Covid.

Since March I have been chasing for my £4794 refund of which I have yet to receive a penny.

World Choice Sports have today offered to refund £2994.00 of the money however they are withholding £300.00 for the cost of the tickets are say they are not responsible for the £1500.00 deposit paid to Secret Escapes.

Secret Escapes say the contract is between me and World Choice Sports who should be refunding the whole amount and World Choice Sports say Secret Escapes are responsible and so the debacle goes on.

5 months after the trip was cancelled and I'm still no further forward.

I have been more that patient waiting for a refund given the current situation with Covid but World Choice Sports have used every excuse in the book not to refund monies that are owing. Why should I be the one to loose £1800 of my hard earned cash?

I will never, ever use this company again.

Looks like legal advice will be the next step!

What a joke of a company!

What a joke of a company!!
I've been nothing but patient, and sent several 'nice' emails but last week became so exasperated that I've threatened them with the press and /or taking legal advice, but still not had a response! Ignorant or what?!!!
I had our booking for the England v Italy rugby match cancelled by them in February, but haven't had a penny of my £1100+ money refunded? Just £50 which I paid for two carry on bags.
WHERE'S THE REST OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY?

I've just read your responses to a couple of people about a week ago saying most should now have received their refunds ... where is mine? It is now nearly 5 months since you cancelled this trip due to Corona virus!!

Absolutely shocking experience

Absolutely shocking experience.

For a reputable company the customer service has been appalling.

I purchased Italy Vs England tickets and a hotel in April 2019, but was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID this year.

I was told a refund would be issued in march but after a lot of chasing they have issued a partial refund minus the tickets!!! Only credited back the hotel fees.

A complete joke of a company!!!

I sympathise they have been furloughed, but withholdiny my money unlawfully is not great service.

The game was cancelled in March!!!

I will never recommend or use this company again.

In response to your reply below. Yet again more shambles of a company.

FULL REFUNDS HAVE NOT BEEN ISSUED. We are still waiting for £100 with is being withheld unlawfully.

So, as a direct answer to your statement "you have NOT refunded everything that is due".

Joke. Absolutely joke.

** Update9th July**
It has been requested by the MD that my truthful and honest review is removed.

Still waiting for our full refund, which as suggested by your colleagues above has been processed, which is incorrect.

18th December I finally received the outstanding refund!!!

March 2020 Six nations rugby

March 2020 Six nations rugby. Request refund no response request cancellation invoice 2 hours and in my inbox. Been advised by our travel insurance decline claim as full refund should be made by World Choice let's see how long it takes for this to happen now.........................

SHAMBOLIC TREATMENT

On 6th March 6 nations Rugby match was postponed, 9th March FCO advised against travel... I bought from Groupon 4 nights accommodation and match tickets package for 13-17th March 2020 Rome, Italy, voucher had to be redeemed with Worldchoice sports. 23rd March WCS sent email stating refunds would be given and nothing, then Groupon said they would only give voucher, My package should be a full cash refund back on card I purchased with on 27th September 2019. This is disgraceful and shambolic refusing customers rights using coronavirus as an excuse to disregard the law which is to refund within 14 days. I will never use these companies again!!!

**UPDATE** I saw your response and after I emailed you, you stated that it is Groupon who has to refund me, not you! so why email me on 23rd March 2020 stating you would refund me?? you could have easily explained that it was Groupon who had to refund me back on the 5th March 2020 instead of yourselves and lying to me since then??

Seven of us had a great time in Paris…

Seven of us had a great time in Paris for the Six Nations game. Hotel was good, cost not too bad and game seats were excellent (shame about the score!) We would definitely look to book again with the company, no complaints.

Dream Trip To A Dream Game

Me and my friends are just back from a trip to Milan for the derby and it couldn’t have gone better. From the communication from Raj and Patrick to sourcing hotels and tickets, it went a dream. I have no idea how they also made it a 4-2 classic win for Inter!

Raj was able to get Club Wembley…

Raj was able to get Club Wembley tickets for the Community Shield for myself and family (10 of us). He even managed to get 6 and 4 in 2 rows near each other. Thanks again for sourcing this for us, pity about the result on the day.

Great sports holiday agent

Used these guys over the last three years to go to the Italian Grand Prix with my family and they are great. No hassle, great communication, went the extra mile for my disabled wife and Sharon is the best adviser you could ever get! Would recommend them for any sports holiday as they can arrange everything for you at very reasonable prices, unlike others who seem to have excessive profit margins in my view.

Portugal Trip

I had originally approached World Choice Sports over a 6 nations trip, but ended up booking a long weekend in Albufeira for myself & my wife.
I was clueless as to what I wanted, but with Shay's help I found a location & hotel that would suit us perfectly.
When we arrived, the hotel was even better than I expected but what really blew me away was Shay's intimate knowledge of the location & the spot on advice he gave regarding the climate at that time of year. You don't get that off a website!

Overall, it was a brilliant, personal service, I was really pleased and will be booking with them again in the future.
