Honestly, Worksome is my favourite freelance management portal.

My first experience with Worksome as a freelancer and there has been constant confusion and issues. Firstly picking up hefty Employer's NI costs which HMRC said themselves was against their guidelines and is illegal. Secondly I had Employer's pension and Employee pension deductions passed on before even being enrolled. You get replies on customer service but the whole platform and they way it's set up is impersonal and unsupportive with complicated matters. I would really avoid having to use the platform again as it's been costly and complicated.

Worksome are a terrible platform. Avoid if you are trying to make a career as a freelancer or contractor in the UK. They won't set up dedicated Pension contributions in their payroll, for no valid reason. If you want a serious umbrella company, go to Parasol or someone that knows how to look after UK contractors.

God platform der fungerer fint og har et overskueligt interface. Hurtig respons gennem chat og deres backoffice, og de tager fint ansvar, hvis der er noget, der skal behandles manuelt.

Har haft 2 dårlige oplevelser med freelancere fra Worksome. Jeg kan egentlig godt lide ideen og platformen osv. men der er alt for få ratings af freelancere indtil videre, så risikoen for at få fat i en dårlig er stor.
Alt i alt har jeg betalt gebyr til Worksome for at blive taget ved næsen af freelancere. Det er sgu lidt surt.

One of the slowest companies I have worked with. Payments are never ever on time. They are equally as bad a Parsol. The employees are prompt at responding and I can't really blame them. The overall process of actually getting paid is one of the worst UX ever! I left my agency 4 weeks ago and still waiting on payment from Worksome!

Violating IR35 by having me pay the employer's National Insurance for them.

The law clearly states:

In accordance with Chapter 10 of the Income Taxes (Earnings and Pensions) Act 2003, and considering the below conditions, the End Client has concluded, that in the case of this engagement, the Worker is considered: Inside IR35 Because of this, the Worker will be classed as employed for tax purposes for this Engagement and their earnings will be subjected to the same level of tax and national insurance as if they were an employee.

It's clear as day. Worksome claim it's nothing to do with them, but they are the intermediary and this is within their contract. They should not allow employers to use their site to violate employment law.

Knowing full well that this year Christmas involved a 4-day bank holiday they prepaid my bill on 25th (it became due on 26th) knowing full well it would be paid at least 3 days overdue. When I complained and said the delay had put me in financial difficulty, this was blamed on the bank holiday and I was told to 'have a great day [smiley face]' - not once, but twice. You couldn't make it up!

Typical Big Corp, only care about their own and their clients' cashflows; despite claiming to 'factor' payment for free, they do nothing to ensure it's made on time! Avoid if you can.

UPDATE: and typical Big Corp response too. Horrible company! Most companies pay BEFORE a bank holiday, not afterwards. Just goes to show where it's priorities lie - and it's not with looking after the freelancer. I would have preferred not to get a response at all, rather than this one. But at least it proves my point nicely. Keep on digging worksome, you're showing everyone what you're really like.

Worksome is extremely easy to use. It has made keeping track of work and payments organised and simple to manage.

Really easy platform to use and should any problems occur (not that there's been many) I always receive a quick response.
So good, I have actually recommended to other freelancers as well as companies requiring freelancers.

Not great for my line of work. Freelance sound editor. After 12 months not had a single job from it despite having an impressive CV. Putting myself forward for simple clean up jobs. But nothing. Wouldn't recommend for audio post freelancers.

Gode jobtilbud fra Worksome - tak for det

Worksome is generally a nice platform for freelancers. Set up was easy enough and I get paid pretty quickly on it. There are a few UX things I don't like but generally it is well designed.

Cannot recommend Worksome enough - as a freelancer I actually prefer it to working with agencies as everything is so simple. Great platform to use, the most responsive, helpful team and I'm always paid on time.
Looking forward to 2021 with these guys!

Feels like being part of a glorious club. One which finds you great work and pays you super fast. What's not to love.

Very efficient and great online experience. Far superior to other online job portals I have used in the past.
