Pathetic app customer service. I ordered a single chicken pasta. They sent me 2 chicken and bacon! We do not eat bacon. After being hung up on many times I got through to someone l. Customer service was impatient, rude and unfriendly and unhelpful. Complete bot total waste of time.

I placed a grocery order on Tuesday morning at 8:30 for a 10:00/11:00 delivery. They never delivered, my emails were ignored, my cries for help were eventually ignored too on Twitter.
I had to call now (Thursday afternoon) and they are telling me they have refunded me it will take 5 to 7 working days - what are we supposed to be eating in the meantime?

Would NEVER recommend!!
Would NEVER recommend Woolies Standard or Dash Delivery to anyone! They substitute items with unacceptable options without asking for consent, sometimes pick items past their expiration date and completely ignore special instructions. The worst part is that the behaviours are so repetitive, I now feel and suspect it's intentional. I'm not angry, I'm actually disappointed and feel ignored and unheard - it's depressing and starting to affect my mental health because all my life I've felt unheard. They just don't care. Sigh.

Dated food and low stock!
So tired of trying to do my weekly shop through Woolies Dash and constantly having to choose alternatives and then if you do get what you originally ordered, it’s literally on the Sell By date so that you only have 1day to use the products, specifically any chicken or fresh produce. Also, why are the instore specials not available on the app?
Disappointing
Woolworths really needs to have a look at their app. 80% of the time there is a problem. Either the app doesn't save my cart, or the payment goes through but doesn't register on the app. It's so labour intensive to use.
If you select an item and press plus you then wait for the next page to load to choose your quantity. Why can't you just click plus as many times as you need. The process just takes so so long.
Checkers Sixty60 is the benchmark.

Woolies Dash is the WORST service in SA.
When it comes to delivery, they say that they tried calling you to let you know your order has arrived but when I check my phone I received no calls. After apparently making one call (which he or she never did), the driver abandons the order and you have to wait for 3 to 5 working days before you even see your money.
This has happened 3 times to me. They also have the worst customer service helpline because all the agent can say is wait 3 to 5 business days to get a refund.
DO NOT USE WOOLIES DASH, be wise and save your time, money and sanity and use something else.

Woolies Dash. Terrible. They take a long time. Shoppers don’t answer responses. Half the orders not delivered. What’s the point of offering a service that you can’t provide. I ended up ordering what wasn’t delivered from Checkers sixty 60. Fantastic. Delivered everything in 30 minutes!

When the shopper calls you (if they bother), the line is so bad you can’t hear them, then they don’t bother calling back.
No initiative used and after paying R35 delivery, your parcel arrives with most items missing. Not good enough and totally unacceptable.
I then have to get in my car to drive to the store only to find the items in the shelf!!! Very annoying! Complaints fall on deaf ears.
As a regular online shopper this must be the worst app with no plans to obviously fix the problem! I am a daily customer with daily complaints. Do you care ? I think not!
LONGBEACH MALL food section is always out of stock of items I buy on a regular basis and the same answer is “our supplier is out of stock”!

Short deliveries and your "personal shopper" does not contact you to substitute. Very embarrassing as I ordered for a function. But not my 1st encounter with this.

WW QUALITY CONTROL AND SUPPLIERS' COMPLIANCE
I Bought shorts for my husband from WW in Gqebertha, I was happy with the purchase I made.
Unfortunately, after a few weeks of wearing my husband complained that the elastic in the shorts was not working for him and ask me to replace with new elastic. This should have been an easy task (as I had done it with 5 of his pants) however it turned out I was not able to slip new elastic into the elastic area. The safety pin I used to thread the elastic kept on getting stuck in what seemed like “stuffing or batting”. I eventually decided to unpick the seam, remove the elastic, sew the seam close and then thread the new elastic in. It took me hours to unpick the seam as there were several rows of stitching which needed to be unpicked. Once the seam was open, I realised the elastic used in this "quality" product was of inferior quality and had frayed, leaving it with no elasticity properties. The reason why my attempt to slip new elastic in was not successful as the safety pin got entwined in the elastic threads.
I lodge my complaint with supporting photos to WW customer service only to receive an email back telling me it was my duty as customer to take the shorts back to the store where I bought it from and resolve the problem with them.
If it was that easy, I would have done it in the first place. But my question is what is WW obligation to its customers when they use inferior product and sell it as a WW quality product?? Who is going to pay my travel cost to go to this store and "sort" it out as I live 50km return trip to WW store. Plus, I have spent hours unpicking the pants to be able to insert new elastic. Why should it be expected that I must go to them, why do they not come and see the junk elastic used in their product for themselves. Surely their buyers need to be made aware of the problem and ensure the Supplier complies with WW quality control requirements.
I am sure I am not the only customer who bought this product, I may be the only customer who feels strongly about quality control to complain about it. In addition, I took a fairly new pair of pants and nearly destroyed it by unpicking it, after I had finished sewing it did not look as professional as the WW prosuct I had purchased - AND FOR THAT REASON I PREFER TO BUY QUALITY PRODUCTS AND NOT HAND MAKE THEM. I do know how to sew etc.
I have never had any joy with WW customer service in respect of past complaints as I got fed up with WW attitude and decide it was a total waste of my precious time, so none of them were every resolved. Sadly, I think the idea of a professional customer service team is to understand what the problem is and resolve if with the relevant supplier, this can only work if the buyer gets involved? – WW does not have a professional customer service team they have clerks who respond but who have no intention of resolving because that is not their responsibility.
POOR SERVICE
Not sure if anyone wil even bother to deal with my issue.
But as a vegan, woolies tells me I can order specific items that they don’t put on their shelves. Then I do just than. Then stuff came that is not even my order , then they tell me because I don’t buy all they ordered they cannot order for me anymore. But I have not received what my ORDER OM PAPER says, why should I buy a bunch of unwanted items. Customer service in general is just very poor! 🙄
Ready to eat food covered in fly eggs & flies
I purchased a rotisserie chicken from Woolworths which was absolutely crawling with flies and fly eggs. 10 days later and I've still not had a response from them. It is clear they do not care about their customers beyond taking their money.
I'm disgusted not only with their in store hygiene, but their utter lack of effective customer service. I've repeatedly contacted the so called customer service team to resolve this situation and promised they'd be in contact, only to be ghosted yet again.
How leaving a situation like this unanswered or resolved confounds me.
A warning to any other shoppers, beware of the added extras in the form of bacteria riddled, disease carrying flies when it comes to ready to eat Woolworths products. Or maybe this is part of an unannounced initiative for alternative protein additives.

Woolworths no longer care about the quality of their products and services and it's something I observed over the last 3 years now. They've been getting progressively worse, especially deliveries of online orders.
I wrote an open letter to their customer service department a few weeks back expressing my concerns, but they don't bother responding and their shop mailbox doesn't even have an auto reply - they're not bothered. Woolworths currently riding on the coattails of their past reputation. Currently have an issue where groceries were delivered without half the items and after calls and emails I get a generic response stating that they're investigating. Investigating what?! I just want what I ordered and paid for.
The worst part? Nobody bothered to apologize. Absolutely NO apology.
Woolworths is just another company in a growing list of companies that no longer offer any value. It's just about making easy money.
