I ordered an Ercol sofa locally after a disappointing experience with a well-known National retailer. When ordering I was advised of a 12-14 week wait and although it was 17 weeks before I received the sofa, I was delighted with the sofa, I had been advised of the delay by Woods. It was nice to receive a call from Karen this week to enquire as to whether I was happy with the sofa, I would recommend both Woods and Ercol and buy locally in future.

Ordered a Ledbury oak larder unit which was delivered quickly and efficiently. The larder unit is a beautiful piece of furniture...well made, spacious interior, fits a huge amount of kitchen paraphenalia and wine 🍷!!! It was on offer at the time and so glad we ordered it as I dont think they are available anymore. The company is well organised and helpful and I would definitely recommend them to anyone 😀

Ordered 2 new sofas with Sam in the Dorchester shop who was extremely helpful. There was an issue with the order from Parker knoll and Sam and the team at Dorchester could not have done more to resolve. Today the sofas as originally ordered arrived and George and Macauley were very helpful , polite and seamless with setting up and getting in place . Highly recommend woods and the team

Frampton corner Suite is even better than I expected 10/10 all round.

My dinning set is absolutely beautiful and surprisingly very strong. Fits in perfectly. Delivery was extremely fast and smooth.

We went to order some arm caps for a settee we had bought from them several years ago. The item of furniture is no longer manufactured, but the furniture specialist, Eliza Bassill went to extraordinary lengths to meet our request. We were quoted a delivery date, however the arm caps arrived well in advance of the date. The product is first class, fitting beautifully, the service exemplary. Would recommend this company without hesitation.

The product itself is okay, but unfortunately the overall experience has been let down a little by quality and much more on the approach to delivery.

The quality of the furniture isn’t what I would describe as amazing, it’s good but not what h had imagined - especially considering the price.

More importantly, I was extremely disappointed with how the delayed delivery was handled. I had arranged to take a day off work for the agreed delivery date, only for the delivery not to arrive. When I raised this, I was essentially told that Woods Furniture couldn’t do anything because their terms and conditions state that they don’t compensate for delayed deliveries.

I appreciate that delivery problems can be outside a retailer’s control, but simply quoting your own terms and conditions back to a customer isn’t what I would consider good customer service. When a customer has paid a significant delivery charge, arranged their schedule around an agreed delivery date and then the delivery doesn’t happen, I think the retailer should take some responsibility for the customer experience, even if the courier is ultimately at fault.

For me, running a business shouldn’t simply be about taking an order and receiving payment through a website. It should also be about product quality, reliable delivery and, importantly, customer satisfaction when things go wrong. Unfortunately, this is where my experience with Woods Furniture has been lacking.

There are certainly positives, but based on my experience, three stars feels fair.

We've made multiple purchases from Woods furniture and we have been so impressed with the beautiful, high quality furniture.

The first purchased a reclaimed wood bench from the Adelaide Range. We were so impressed we went on to buy the full Dining table and another bench. Everyone who's come to our Home has stated how beautiful the dining table is. It is extremely high-quality, excellent design and a real feature.

I've since gone on to buy another table from the Milan dining collection to be used in another room. Again, a really high-quality, beautiful designed table.

Having looked at furniture sets from many suppliers not only is the quality the best we have found but they are prices are way more competitive. The communication, delivery time and delivery team have all been outstanding. I highly recommend this Woods and will be buying from them again.

Great products at a great price. I absolutely love my stressless chair. The communications for delivery were excellent.

We ordered a Corner Dining Set from Woods, and we are very happy with how it looks in our house. The customer service from Eliza Basill was exceptional, she explained everything, and demonstrated all the features of the Dining Set, nothing was to much trouble.
The delivery was on the date promised, and they assembled the Dining Set for us, and removed all the rubbish for us.
Overall a excellent service from start to finish, would definitely recommend Woods Furniture and especially Eliza superb helpful advice throughout.

Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish.

The level of incompetence throughout this entire experience has been extremely frustrating. If I am to believe that the product delivered to me is genuinely the same product shown in the photographs on the website, I can only assume that the photographs have been heavily edited in post-production. The colour of the item I received bears very little resemblance to the product shown in the listing.

Adding to the confusion, the member of staff responsible for naming the product chose a name referencing a natural mineral that is near-black in colour, despite the actual product being a mid-grey. This only adds to the misleading impression created by the listing.

The delivery experience was equally poor. The courier selected by Woods charged an additional fee for delivery after 6pm. Despite this, they attempted delivery on the selected day before 6pm, unsuccessfully, and subsequently delivered the item on a different date — again, before 6pm. I therefore fail to see what the additional charge was for.

Customer service was no more satisfactory. The representative repeatedly sent me photographs from a different product listing on the Woods website, attempting to argue that the significant colour discrepancy was simply due to shadowing. However, even the areas shown in shadow in those photographs were considerably lighter than the product images on the listing I actually ordered from.

It is unreasonable to expect customers to examine multiple listings for what appear to be different products in the same style simply to account for variations in lighting. If Woods is aware that the appearance of its products can vary significantly depending on lighting, then the appropriate solution is to include photographs showing those variations on each individual product listing.

Customers should not have to conduct their own investigation across multiple product pages to determine what an item will actually look like.

Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience — from the misleading product photography and confusing product naming, to the poor delivery service and an unhelpful attempt by customer service to justify the discrepancy rather than acknowledge it. I would not recommend Woods based on this experience.

Mark and Andy were efficient, polite and respectful. They assembled the new furniture and took away all packaging. It really was a five star service.

I have never written a bad review before but we have not been impressed with the service provided at all. We placed an order for the rubix corner bench in Tan in August 2025. By November we noticed that the faux leather was coming away all over the bench, showing a red material underneath. By this point we had hardly used it as we had recently unboxed it after moving house. The company offered to exchange it for another colour but we declined as the quality of the product was very poor for the price (the bench was £800). We paid the difference and went with a different corner bench and asked for them to collect the faulty bench upon delivery of the new one. They advised the new bench would not be in stock until June 2026. We were happy to wait the 7 months, although it was delayed further until July 2026. Finally delivery day arrived and they refused to take the old bench as it was not in the original packaging, at this point I was getting increasingly frustrated with the company. We did not have the original packaging as it was faulty and had waited a considerable amount of time for this new one. We have recently had a new baby and do not have the ability to get rid of the old bench. We were then told it would be collected yesterday and we did not need to package it, however it was not collected despite us waiting in for it to be picked up. We have now received a message saying noone was in and collection will be rescheduled but we have checked our ring camera and no attempt was made.

Great service, excellent value for money
