Just returned home from wonderful journey across the Balkans. The itinerary offered a variety of different activities from churches to mosques, mountain treks to city walks, and train rides to boat trips. Our accommodations were lovely boutique styled hotels. The trip leader (Tedi) and fellow travelers combined to make our journey a very memorable one. I will most certainly travel with Wild Frontiers again!

We have had our best trips with Wild Frontiers, and highly recommend them. Their itinaries are often off the beaten track , with excellent local guides, good selection of hotels , mostly in town to allow us to stroll freely. We love their pace : relaxed ( no rush to get to next stop ) , ample time to visit. Quality over quantity.
Comfortable transport . We sure plan to travel again with them!

I’ve recently returned from the Turkey Eastern Borderlands trip. As with all my previous trips with WF, this one did not disappoint. Our guide, Tim, was excellent, the itinerary was well put together, and the trip companions were great. We really did get adventure on a grand scale, as promised. We certainly saw some amazing sites and sights, and were far from the main tourist spots. Most of the other tourists visiting were Turkish! What I like best about WF trips is that wysiwyg, there are no hidden costs, as all meals are provided as well as all entrance fees. All you need money for are drinks and any purchases. The small group sizes mean that you get to eat in local restaurants and stay in some great accommodation. I shall definitely be travelling with WF again. My bucket list just gets longer as I talk to other travellers in the groups ;-)

I’ve recently come back from a brilliant tour of Algeria. This is not my first trip with Wild Frontiers and I have booked with them again to go to Mongolia next year.
They have small groups. In Algeria there was only five of us. The tour leader, Rafik, was superb. The sights were brilliant, with daily ‘wow’ moments, even in 40 degree heat in the desert. I can’t praise them highly enough!

5 Stans Tour. Great itinerary, which provides overview of the region and visits both main sites but also less visited locations. Professional service from first inquiry to completion. Small group of 12, with really good food, accommodation and transport provided. Tour Leader (Jez) was amazing - supported everyone throughout.

WF handled all our requests before the trip, even when we needed to reschedule.
On the trip there were no glitches. Our guide was super attentive to our needs and was able to make small adjustments when we needed a bit more rest. He asked us to phone him at any time, and waited outside our hotel to make sure we found our way back from the restaurant. Our overall impression was of a professional organisation.

Fascinating country. Our small group tour enjoyed the services of a knowledgeable tour leader. The itinerary took us to monasteries, fortresses and cave towns. Georgian hospitality didn't disappoint - the food and wine culture is exceptional and the people friendly and welcoming.

Fabulous experience with Wild Frontiers during a recent tailored tour to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. They designed an itinerary based on what we were looking to do and see; and this was detailed on their online portal, which works very well.
The tour itself went seamlessly, with multiple destinations and different guides.

It was my first trip with Wild Frontiers - Peru: Across The Andes to Machu Picchu April 2026. It was absolutely fabulous The Itinerary was meticulously planned to give us all maximum opportunities to see and experience Peru - the highlight was of course Machu picchu but the rest of the tour did not disappoint with seeing the Condors, visiting Peruvian villages and swimming in hot springs. All the meals and Hotels were of excellent standard. Our Guide, Lyss, was a Peruvian lady who was charming and knew the history of Peru in great depth - she was a great asset to WIld Frontiers - I am now contemplating travelling next year to Argentina, Patagonia and Chile.

My second trip with Wild Frontiers, and I continue to be impressed.
Pre-trip support is excellent with easy access to the very helpful office staff.
Organisation in-country is second to none. A vehicle breakdown was dealt with swiftly (before clients knew there was a problem.
Our guide was helpful, supportive when necessary, and an endless source of local knowledge.
Accommodation provided was always comfortable, and varied between large hotels and family-run guest-houses (giving a chance to meet local families and see how they live.
A great experience that I look forward to repeating in a different location.

This was my first Wild Frontiers tour and it was a really excellent trip. The itinerary was skilfully curated to provide a wide variety of cultural, scenic and culinary experiences across the three very different countries of the South Caucasus. The obvious care in the selection of hotels and eateries was an added bonus.Our guide, Nika, was superb with his outstanding knowledge, care for the group and sense of humour. And our group of seven seasoned travellers from the UK, US and Australia was a delight. Highly recommended!

To begin with, Georgia is a fascinating country but one where there's huge benefit in doing a tour rather than driving or relying on public transport. The interesting places are distant from one another and some are quite remote. Because this tour was really well-organised and efficient, we saw a lot of Georgia: landscape and places of interest. I also enjoyed the range of regional foods and craft activity we saw. I felt that we had really learned a lot while enjoying ourselves.

Having travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, and parts of Africa, Algeria was one of the most unexpectedly rewarding destinations I have visited in years. The Wild Frontiers itinerary struck an excellent balance between history, culture, politics, architecture, and geography, while still allowing enough flexibility to absorb the atmosphere of each place.

What stood out immediately was how unspoilt the experience felt. Algeria is not overrun by tourism, and that authenticity came through everywhere — from the warmth of the local people to the slower pace and genuine curiosity with which visitors are welcomed. The smaller towns in particular felt like stepping back in time, yet without sacrificing comfort or modern amenities.

The itinerary itself was diverse and very well paced. The historical sites were spectacular, the food was consistently excellent, and the landscapes varied far more than I expected. The guides were knowledgeable and approachable, providing valuable historical and political context that enriched the experience enormously.

Perhaps the most refreshing aspect was that, unlike in many heavily visited destinations, I never felt like “just another tourist.” There was a sincerity to the interactions and an absence of the fatigue that can sometimes accompany mass tourism.

Overall, this was a memorable, enriching, and surprisingly moving journey, and I would highly recommend both Algeria as a destination and Wild Frontiers as an operator for travellers seeking something genuinely different.

Wild Frontier has terrific itineraries and takes you to places other companies don't necessarily take you to (e.g the Himba tribe in Namibia). Their guides are superb, and the small group size is a huge plus. Wild Frontiers provides a genuine country/cultural experience, rather than only a sightseeing trip. We have travelled extensively with other companies, mostly all good, but Wild Frontiers easily takes first place.

I’ve just returned from my sixth trip with Wild Frontiers - though my first was a five-week long Silk Road trip from Beijing to Teheran, so that perhaps counts as more than one trip! This one was Turkey: Eastern Borderlands, and it didn’t disappoint. I’ve always found Wild Frontiers trips wonderful. They’re well organised, the pre-departure support is excellent, their itineraries are always fascinating, and their tour leaders always helpful and professional. I also appreciate the small group sizes, which adds a personal touch and means you’re not constantly waiting for straggler number 25! I’m addicted!

I recently went to Algeria, the tour was very well organized and the staff were amazing. They very professional, helpful and ready to assist me whenever I needed. I was quite impressed with our itinerary, the places were beautiful and the people very friendly. To top it up our tour guide, Ghanou, was amazing. In all the trips that I have been it finished on the last day after breakfast, after it we would be on our own. But on this trip things were different. Our return flight was very late, so after breakfast our guide took us to the a famous cathedral and then to the Botanical Garden, where we also had lunch. To top it up he took us to the airport and only left after we had checked in. All this was not included in the itinerary, it was an extra service taken care by the local agency that works with Wild Frontier. I was really impressed. It was my first trip with them and it will not be the last.

I’ve been on a variety of small adventure vacations for over 20 years. This vacation—and Wild Frontiers—has been the best curated, personal, cared for of them all! No way was my trip as magical by mistake. Wild Frontiers has the experience to coordinate the magic!

Our trip to Japan was extremely well organised. There was a great mix of culture, history, countryside and meeting local people. Although we moved around a lot, we never felt rushed or tired - the pace was just right. Our guide, Sai, was absolutely fantastic. Could not recommend this trip more highly
