Compleat liars!
Changed their name to smooth.
Nothing smooth in their work.
They keep promising to sort things out but they never do.
Avoid this company if you can.

Not only did I have to make a complaint 18 months earlier when I rented a house from them and received a refund for their poor work but then I had the unfortunate bad luck of wanting to buy a house which was sold by them as well. I bit my lip and had to go for it. Mitul Gadhia who is the company director ensured me this would run smooth and gave me all his faith into sorting a mortgage out for me. He came across professional and on the ball. He was keen to get my personal details and got back to me with mortgage deals. I accepted one and he said he would apply for it and let me know. Now, trying to get hold of this bloke was mere impossible from this point on. His communication skills were diabolical and pathetic. Considering the huge deal buying a house is, communication is EVERYTHING!
I emailed, I left voice mails, I texted and I rang many times and he never got back to me. Weeks and now months we’re going by and the staff in the agents even agreed with me that it’s hard work getting hold of him... this was now laughable!
One day at work I decided to ring him from my work mobile phone. Guess what, he answered immediately! I was shocked and clearly he had been ignoring me. He stuttered through the conversation trying to defend his horrendous communication and I wasn’t having any of it. He then told me the mortgage deal was no longer available and he hadn’t sent off my application!! I was now back to square one !! This is the DIRECTOR!
He promised me I wouldn’t now pay a fee to which I said he wasn’t going to charge me anyway and then said he would give me cash back ( which I’m still waiting for, won’t hold my breath )
My mortgage was finally sorted out by a competent person who sorted it in a matter of days and I’m finally in my new house, months after I should have been.
I’m still very bitter about Whitegates and Mitul who is incompetent and unprofessional. The couple I bought the house from I spoke too in person and they also said how disappointed in whitegates they were with the sale and communication.
I would never use them again and never recommend them. Twice now in 2 years I’ve had to complain which is all basic stuff, it’s ridiculous.

We are extremely happy with the professional advice, help and guidance that we received from Sue and the staff at Broughton Astley.

I know that I am rather "picky" and to be honest, I made them work for their fee, but their patience and valuable information made the decision to buy our now, "new" home, easy and trouble free.

My wife, Julie and I would be very happy to recommend Whitegates, Broughton Astley to anyone seeking an estate agent.

Tennant's beware, landlords ask yourself, what on earth are these guys going to do for me?

Over 5 weeks to fix a broken toilet that was leaking over the floor
Over 5 weeks to replace a freezer that the property was advertised with
Failure to answer basic questions like 'which allocated parking space is mine'
Left me without a working shower for 4 weeks that was described as 'dangerous and must not be used' by their maintenance guy
It's now 10 weeks since I raised an issue about the windows, they don't shut causing a big draft and the one in my son's bedroom is illegal as it has no safety - still no closer to getting it sorted.

Countless emails and phone calls to get things sorted, the managing director has been round to the house, agreed the windows are not right, told me a lovely story of a young child falling out of one yet still hasn't sorted anything in 3 weeks.

You will waste your time trying to get things sorted, don't fall for the fantastic onboarding experience where they are waiting for your money, once they have it the level of proactiveness will fall to 0 and they won't care what you have to say, promises to get things fixed, call backs etc never happen. If you try and question 'well what happens now if you don't call me back' you'll get an answer of 'ermm, you'll just have to keep trying'
