Dreadful company. Poor communication. Consistently unreliable. Care visits late without any notification. Unprofessional care staff (not all luckily). Undertrained and inattentive to my Mothers basic daily needs. I have frequently raised serious concerns during the period my Mother has been with this company, none of these has resulted in any actual improvements. The Manager is defensive and unable to understand the concept of 'CARE' and is adamant the company went 'over and above' for my Mum, which is untrue. It's said that a company sets an example from the top, how true in this case as the Manager doesn't care so no surprise the staff don't either

I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE CARERS BUT THE ADMINISTRATION IS DREADFULL.
I HAVE CONTINUALLY ASKED FOR MY TIME TO BE 8.30 OR BEFORE ON THE DAY THAT I EXPECT FRIENDS .
WHEN I SPEAK TO THEM THEY ASSURE ME IT WILL BE PUT RIGHT BUT IT NEVER IS

It has taken me a long time to decide whether to write a review for this company. We were as a family completely traumatized by the care this company gave and I have taken a few months to settle Mum into a care home.
My Mothers care package was taken over by Whispers in October after another outstanding care company were not able to cover the care package any longer due to no longer covering the area.
Whispers came out to visit and on first impressions I thought they were going to be a very good fit. How wrong I was!
There was no attention to detail, most of the carers had very little or no understanding of dementia.
I found the management were full of excuses for the very poor level of care that Mum was receiving. As a family we were made to feel that this was our fault for having cameras on the property which was apparently intimidating for the staff. This was never a problem with the previous company.
Had we not had the cameras then we would not have seen that Mum was left in wet clothing, we would not have seen her dinner left on the side where she couldn't reach it and we would not have seen carers pulling her up from the chair by her hands and her clearly in pain from this. The carers were far more interested in sitting looking at their phones which apparently was the carers filling out care notes.
We made an official complaint to Social services. Mum had wanted to stay at home but we ended up moving her to a care home as we could not wait for a more suitable competent company to take over her care.
Since her move she is back to herself as she was before Whispers took over.
Do not use this company!! They were in our lives for 4 weeks and it was the longest most stressful 4 weeks of my life.

I couldn't have asked for better care.

It's a difficult decision to make when choosing the right care agency, but needless to say that high quality staff are essential. From the moment we reached out to whispers, the directors, management, and care staff have been exceptional.

Nothing is too much, and I can honestly say that I wouldn't trust anyone else with the care of my loved ones.

My Father was discharged from Hospital last week with a package of care provided by Social Services with this company.
Only one of the carers showed the slightest bit of interest in talking to my Father and building a rapport.
When giving my frail and vulnerable Father, a shower a worker used an abrasive sponge that is used to clean the toilet, to wash him.
I would not use this company ever again.
