Luggage lost

I had a connection flight from Calgary to Casablanca one stop, the flight was with westjet. And the stop was in Toronto so when I arrived to Casablanca there is no luggage two of them, I went for the trucking service the lady there told me they are still in Toronto they didn't send them to them, so what do I have to do now, no clothes no gifts all my stuff are gone plus on the top of that the stress of cooling and going back and forth to the airport. What a kind of vacation is this?

Recently flew westjet to and from Cabo…

Recently flew westjet to and from Cabo San Lucas out of Toronto. Due to circumstances in Cabo we were delayed in a holding pattern and ultimately diverted to Mazatlan for refueling. No fault of Westjet. Our return flight a week later was rescheduled in the middle of the night "4a.m" while we had scheduled pickup for a 230 flight at 1030 a.m. our pickup could not be changed and flight was further delayed once at the airport. So a 1030 a.m. pickup for a flight at 5pm made for a miserable end to a holiday. Westjet offered each ticket holder a 300 peso food voucher for select fast food at the airport. I'll tell you what I got. A foot long subway assorted sub, but the cost was my voucher plus $10 AMERCAN. Others in our group of 80 wedding guests were flabbergasted at the cost at othervfood outlets as well. The voucher was pretty much a joke for the costs and westjet should be more responsible for keeping paying customers fed and hydrated in a over 6 hour stint at an airport.

THEIR HUMAN RESOURCES PERSONAL ARE COMPLETELY IGNORENT

THIS COMPANY IS UNFIT TO APPLY TO ANYANY POSITING THAT YOU APPLY TO THEM ONLINE PERIOD I APPLIED FOR A POSITION WITH THEM FOR AIRCRAFT ENGINE TECHNICIAN ABOUT A MONTH AGO ON APRIL 8 I WAS CONTACTED BY AND LADY IN HR FOR THEIR TECH OPPS TEAM AND ASKED ME FOR 2 INTERVIEW DATES FOR THIS POSITION SO I GAVE THEM THE 2 DATES AS THEY REQUESTED AND THURSDAY AND THIS MONDAY CAME AND GONE AND NO ONE FROM THAT BRAIN DEAD COMPANY IN THE HR RESPONED BACK TO ME FOR MY INTERVIEW FOR THIS JOB SO ABOUT 15 MINUTES AGO I RECEIVED A EMAIL FROM THEIR IGNORENT HR REP FOR TECH OPSS THAT THIS JOB HAS BEEN CLOSED I SAID WHAT A BOUCH OF COMPLETE MORONS YOU ARE DEALING WITH HERE AT WESTJET WHEN IT COMES TO BAD AIRLINE COMPANIES IN CANADA ONE IS JUST AS BAD AS THE OTHER THEIRS NO DIEFFERENCE WHEN IT COMES TO THE WAY THEY TREAT PEOPLE THEIR ATTITUDE SUCKS BIG TIME HERE IN CANADA WITH BOTH AIRLINES I HOPE THEY ALL ONE DAY GO BANKRUPT I DON,T CARE ANYMORE ABOUT THEM PERIOD

How can i give zero star

How can i give zero star, staff members are highly mean, rude specially women , and racist, why westjet, are you not paying enough for them to be kind and just smile once in a while, horrible experience, please people pay little more and fly with some other airline

Lying about an overbooked flight

We're the idiots who were kicked out of an overbooked flight. We were transferred to another airline 7 hours later and they now deny our compensation claim, pretending the flight was delayed for maintenance for security reasons. The flight wasn't delayed at all. It left as planned. So they cheat and lie to cash in on your back. How acceptable is that ?

had a very disappointing experience with WestJet. This has been one of the worst airlines I’ve flown with.
The staff were rude and not welcoming at all, which made the experience even more frustrating. Flights seem to be consistently delayed, and the aircraft seats are old and extremely uncomfortable.
They are also very strict in an unreasonable way, if you are even a minute late, they won’t allow you to check in your luggage.
My flight was originally scheduled to depart at 6:40 AM, but we were kept seated in cramped, uncomfortable conditions until 8:00 AM. First, we were told there was “traffic,” and after more than an hour, the reason changed to maintenance issues and paperwork delays.
On top of that, our luggage was lost, and we didn’t receive it until a day after arrival.
Overall, this was a very frustrating experience, and I sincerely hope I don’t have to fly with them again.

Cancun Operations

When checking-in on line, unable to get seats together for my wife and me. Bigger issues for WestJet's operation in Cancun. Upon landing there, it took 2.5 hours to get off the plan and retrieve luggage. No communication or on the ground staff to support passengers. It was chaos.

$80 USD to sit beside my wife on the same booking ref.

My wife and I were on the same booking reference. When I went to check in online, they had placed us in two middle seats on the same row on opposite sides of the aisle. What's crazy is that all the other seats on our row were available at a cost of $80 USD. WTF? So I have to pay $80 USD to sit beside my wife!!

Didn't honour seat reservations

Booked and paid for extra leg room on both ways on the trip. When I went to check in, I had to pay another $160 for me and my husband to get the same seats I had already paid for. On the trip back it was worse, we didn't even get option to repay, but where put in two different rows without extra leg room. Why charge people if you are not going to honour agreement? And why would you seperate two people on the same booking number? Staff on plane where wonderful, just the companies organizational abilities is lacking. 20 days later still trying to get money refunded - told no direct phone number to call, just have to wait to hear from them.

Delayed or cancelled.

WestJet has nice ground level employees, but they must be short staffed or their planes old, because I’m not kidding you, I can count on one had the number of on-time non-cancelled flights I’ve experienced over the last two years.

I travel mostly WestJet just based on, unfortunately, the two airports I fly out of for work being WestJet hubs.

Most recent experience was a delayed connection and them telling us we couldn’t make the next flight because our bags wouldn’t make it and we couldn’t fly without them. What I believe actually happened was they had filled our first class seats with stand byes.

We searched baggage claim for three hours, waiting and being sent to multiple different sites by staff. Anyway, fast forward and they had actually loaded our bags and sent them to Maui without us, on the flight that they claimed we couldn’t make because our bags wouldn’t make it. I’m not joking.

Just the most recent event in a series of events at a subpar airline.

Book AirCanada where possible.

Again bad experience with Wesjet

After a 5-hour delay, our flight to Antigua was postponed until the next day at 11:00 AM, only to be delayed again to 1:20 PM. Despite paying extra for our seats, we were assigned seats in the last row of the aircraft.

This was extremely disappointing. I fly more than 20 times a year, and after this experience I will do everything possible to avoid flying with WestJet in the future. There are plenty of other options, and unfortunately this experience has made it clear I will choose any of them before WestJet again.

They do not care about you at all

They do not care about you at all. They will abandon you in an airport for many hours with nothing to help you. They are always delayed it is "never their fault" and it happens every time.

Online app terrible

There online app needs a total overhaul. Try booking lately you end up up in a big loop where they spend more time trying to upsell on everything. When you get close to paying for the flight nothing happens. You need to go through the whole booking process again and again...joke

Absolutely disgusting customer service

Absolutely disgusting customer service.

We are econoflex passengers, trying to change our return flight to what turns out is a way cheaper return flight than is on their website. However they are adamant there is a fare difference.

We just need to change the flight so reluctantly agreed to pay and then they couldn't even send us a payment link in the end due to system errors. They said we have to call but we have a UK sim and are in canada so we literally cannot find a way to call without it costing us loads, and Skype app is no longer available to do such a thing.

We tried again today and they are now trying to charge us even more money to make the change. Again, reluctantly we go to pay - they can now send payment links but every card me and my partner have tried (5 of them) we get an error message.

Out of stress I then tried calling to speak to an actual human and they had me on hold for 10 minutes with me being charged £3ph - it's just ridiculous and apparently there is no one of authority to have empathy and override any charges or help us with our distress.

Don't ever fly with them. It will just cause you stress

Called after coming home and there's absolutely nothing they can offer aside from refunding the original seat selection price. Poor customer service, horrible airline. Switching to Air Canada going forward.

A Few Exceptional Human Services Still Reside at West Jet
While ongoing massive cost reductions at WSJ have virtually eliminated customer service / care, a few residuals remain. On a Cabos / Vancouver Feb/2026 flight a medical emergency encountered when flight ready to take off. Over 2 hours elapsed before passenger finally removed by ground crew. During this stressful protracted time the senior flight attendant (Thanh #162) kept passengers regularly informed of developments while organizing her crew and attending to the distressed passenger.
Flight finally underway after refueling with many connections in jeopardy. When we landed in Vancouver zero WSJ assistance to accommodate connections; service back to horrific norms!
