I’m giving this 1 star only because I can’t give zero.
I purchased the book more than a month ago.
When I first saw the offer, it stated that the book cost around €60, which is why I decided to buy it. However, during the checkout process, additional items kept being added. I was unable to complete the purchase unless I included them, so I did, without realizing—because it was not clearly explained—that I was subscribing to an app that I have never used, as my baby has not even been born yet.
On top of that, more than a month later, I still do not have the book. I contacted customer service, but they only provided a generic response, telling me to contact the postal service myself to find out where it was.
I managed to find the tracking number, but in order to see where the book was located, I had to download yet another paid application to access the collection address. I then contacted customer service again for help. Eventually, they were able to see internally that the book had been lost and that they would need to produce and send a new copy.
A few days later, I noticed a charge of €28.99 on my account from the company. When I asked what it was for, I was told it was for the app subscription. I have never used the app, as my baby has not been born yet and I have not even received the book.
I contacted customer service requesting a refund for this charge. After speaking with four different agents, I was not given a refund, nor an apology, nor any solution that left me satisfied.
In summary, I have paid €120 for nothing. By the time I am supposedly due to receive the book, my baby will already have been born, and as you can imagine, I will no longer have the time to fill it out during pregnancy as I had originally hoped

It's a scam. They put you a hidden monthly payment for an app you didn't request and they don't correct it.

One star — buyer beware: unclear app charge and no refund even when unused
Buyer beware. I spent over $100 on a baby book, and while the book itself seemed overpriced but nice, the purchasing experience was very distressing.
What was not made clear to me was the app charge. I later found an unexpected charge of over $42 on my credit card for an app I did not know I had, did not need, and never used.
I contacted customer service and explained that I am the grandma, not the mom, so I have absolutely no use for the app. I also told them they should be able to verify that I never opened or used it. Their answer was basically: sorry, no refunds. I asked for the issue to be escalated to a manager, and the manager repeated the same thing.
So because of their unclear app charge and rigid no-refund policy, I ended up paying around $142 for a so-so baby book with their names on the cover.
In my opinion, this is a terrible way to treat customers. If a charge was unclear, their expensive app was never used, and the customer reaches out right away, the decent thing to do would be to refund it. Instead, they chose policy over fairness.
I would not buy from this company again, and I would strongly caution other grandparents or gift buyers to be very careful before ordering. What looks like a sweet baby book purchase can turn into a much more expensive experience than expected.

The product itself is nice, but be very aware of the app subscription as it is very costly £25/month and they just charge your account without any payment notice/reminder etc.
Due to so many adds during the ordering process, you are very inclined to just not notice this (as I did) and end up paying for something you are not fully aware of. In my opinion, that is a scam!

So many RED FLAGS....AVOID
Do not recommend this firm owing to their lack of transparency, non-refundability and/or partial refundability, many surprises, and very expensive monthly subscription fee for their app at $46++. Again not clear and if buying a gift, the app is not relevant..just want the book but not an option! BTW the monthly subscription fee is very high. Apps are usually $10/month...another red flag and the fact that there is no phone number to call for customer service. I spent so much time as a grandma, cancelling my card and dealing with this issue...NO THANK YOU

SCAMMERS
THEY ARE SCAMMERS. BEWARE of the hidden app subscription. They know exactly what they are doing, prying on busy parents with newborns, knowing you're too busy to realise the app subscription that they take every month. Also, their generic blanket response to reviews of "we are working hard to improve... blah blah blah.. is BS because the fix takes 20 mins at most but they've been saying they are improving for over 2 years if you read back the reviews from 2024. Disgusting company and team with no ethics.
