Harassed me over text for business

I got in touch with Website Design Valley after putting a request on Bark.com for a website project. They reached out via phone and text, but I told them I was no longer interested. They kept texting me.

I told them to stop texting me literally 7 times. They just kept responding. I have the entire text thread still. I'd tell them to "please stop texting me, thank you", but a few weeks later they'd text me again. A few instances of them playing the "Why? Why? Why?" game as well, which was particularly annoying. I'm pretty sure this is harassment.

They outsource their call center to a foreign country and obviously either have bad sales communication checks and balances, and/or they just don't care about how pushy and annoying they are.

1/22/2025 EDIT: Website Design Valley just flagged this review to Trustpilot "for containing harmful or illegal content." A day later Trustpilot reviewed the case and kept my review online. I just got all the emails from Trustpilot.

Website Design Valley appears to be trying to hide negative reviews by lying about what they contain. Big yuck.

Website hack, extortion, and harrassment

DONT USE THIS COMPANY.

This company got access to our Wordpress login under the guise of performing some minor website updates we'd requested and paid for. Then our website mysteriously went down, about a month after the work was completed. Our WP password had been changed, and our website was completely wiped clean with a fake Google alert page warning that our website was blocked for attempted social engineering activity.

When we reached out to ask for the backup files, assuming it was an honest mistake -- website hacks happen, afterall -- they told us we could do a one time fee to purchase the backup files OR retrieve it ourselves from their servers and pay a maintenance fee to have it hosted with them.

When I first updated my original 5 star review to 1 star on Thumbtack, I received a barrage of phone calls and texts and emails, each one more frantic and demanding, wanting to resolve the issue, talk about "what happened," and even threatening to delete the backup files. I do not and will not cooperate with someone trying to extort our company, so I didn't budge on the review and did not respond to the many contacts.

Then they deleted their Thumbtack account -- where I originally hired them. My employees and I have also started getting bombarded with phishing scams on our personal cells and emails. If there was ever any doubt that they were behind the original hack, there isn't any longer. DO NOT use this company.

Too bad I can't give this company no…

Too bad I can't give this company no stars. I had a very bad experience with them to the tune of $10K - and they would not fix errors or make updates without exorbitant fees. Their work is schlocky at best. They double- billed my credit card and would not resolve the issue.
I had worked with Abid M to get my site up after the second time it was taken down. We agreed to $2600 for "bandwidth" issues. The company double-billed me. Abid was going to resolve but ended up leaving the company. I called one day, and someone answered as Abid. I knew it wasnt him - mannerisms and voice tone were different. I asked to be transferred to Accounts Pay to retrieve my money that was double-billed. Natasha (whom i find later is the COO) answered and said, "Thank you Reynold". I flipped a gizzard and asked why Reynold would impersonate an ex-employee??? They are quite underhanded. Find another web company

BE WARNED & STAY AWAYI had a terrible experience with…

Never use your credit card when dealing with these people, I used a PayPal and I had a terrible experience with Websitedesignvalley. I paid them a substantial amount for a website design project, and not only did they fail to deliver any work, but they also refused to issue a refund.

After multiple follow-ups and promises of imminent completion, I received nothing but excuses. Their customer service was unresponsive and dismissive when I requested a refund. It's clear that their only goal was to take my money and run.

Save yourself the hassle and frustration – steer clear of this company. They are unprofessional and unreliable, and you’ll end up wasting both time and money if you choose to work with them.

These guys did a great job on my website. I came t them after I had been ripped off by a contractor on Fivver. They were comforting and understanding. They got my website back and made it look great. They even made me a couple commercials. I would definately recommend! :)

So disappointed.....I would call them hustlers

When I first signed up with the company I was impressed. It quickly went downhill from there. I was promised a website within 3 months of purchase. I was told that the company was based out of Vancouver, Canada and then I started getting long distance charges on my cellphone bill. I had to ask the location of the individual I was speaking to and learned that I was dealing with the office in California, USA. That was not what I wanted. I wanted a Canadian based company. At this time I had already paid the fees and the production process had began. I went from WIX to WordPress and they needed time to make the changes. The contact I was dealing with was polite, courteous and always responded. However, as things progressed, I kept being told that I needed to "make a one time payment" for things that weren't necessary for my website. I am a sole proprietor that rents a room and just wanted to have my business get online traffic. After almost 6 months, I had to BEG for my website to be released to me so that I could get moving with online traffic. Once it had been released, myself and a close colleague spent 18 hours of our personal time, completing the pages and inputting the information that was needed to complete the website as approximately 50% of the pages were still in templated format. I had made requests for my site that were misunderstood and my website was designed so big that I needed a dedicated web hosting server and after 3 days of research, would cost me no less than $150/month to run. Website Design Valley offered me special pricing of $75 a month if I signed on for 3 years. At this point my hands were tied and I needed my site up and running. I paid the money and was told that this would include maintenance and protection and any changes that would need to be made. Once these fees were paid, my site would "go down" frequently (usually every 2 weeks) and I was told that I needed to purchase malware or my site would not function properly and CISA would have penalties for me. This affected my business drastically as customers could not access my site. It became very cyclical. I refused to pay the money. I had none left to give. $4200 later, I was no further ahead then I had been when I started. I was with WIX for 5 and half years, no issues EVER! it cost me $330/year to run it. My site has not operated since April 8th, 2024 and the only response I get from Website Design Valley is that I can pay $450 USD for malware and access to my C-Panel and they wanted $250 USD for a domain transfer. I have now purchased a new domain for $18 CAD and have someone to operate my system for $24/month which includes malware, updates and security. Website Design Valley has stopped communicating with me and have declined to refund the 2.5 years I have left on my service that I had paid for. I would not recommend them to anyone.
I have emails to back up all my issues.

Unfortunately you can't give a 0

Unfortunately you can't give a 0. They've been working for two months now on a basic website. My wife had initially made a basic one and we tried tweaking it with what few skills we have in that aspect. We figured, what the heck... let's give the "professionals" a shot. We'll here we are, Two months in and ever the continuing wanting more money to make a website that still isn't up and running. For this extra thing or that extra thing... all of which is never disclosed at the beginning. My wife got rid of her square site because the server fee was pretty much going to be the same (which made sense). Now it's a fee for thus and a fee for that but still no up and running website. Not sure where their professional side comes from.... but it didn't even take us this long to create a site through square.

Bottom line, stay away from this company as they are a joke and nothing but a scam.

Scam

Scam. Scam. Scam.
The only time I hear from these people is when they want to scam me out of more money.
Website Valley Design wanted to charge for a merchant's integration fee of 1,000.00. I looked it up and no such thing exists.
I too was charged for them to be my dedicated host.
They took a website and imposed my product upon it. I have no evidence they actually did anything original for me.
When the hair on the back of your neck stands up and your body is telling you it's a scam, listen.

SCAM!!

SCAM!!! Created the worst e-commerce website imaginable for me. Massive language barrier and added costs. Charged me $3600 to use them as a dedicated host and then charged me $1670 ON THE DAY OF MY WEBSITE LAUNCH to be PCI Compliant which I found out you can do for free through Stripe. Was promised to be reimbursed for the $1670 by Abid, and then he AND Natasha ghosted me and never returned my phone calls. STAY AWAY FROM THE DESIGN TEAM. They are con artists.
