I recently went through the process of setting up a waste collection contract with Waste Managed, and overall the experience has been positive so far.
The team provided clear information about the service, including bin options, collection schedules, and contract details. Communication was prompt and professional, which made the process straightforward and easy to follow.
I also appreciated that everything was explained clearly before moving forward. The only concern for me is that the pricing is slightly on the higher side, but I am currently discussing options with them.
Overall, they seem reliable and well-organised, and I feel comfortable proceeding with them pending final confirmation.

On the last occasion, I was told to leave the rubbish outside for collection, but no one arrived. As a result, I received complaints from neighbouring shop owners and had to take all the rubbish back into the shop. I also had to book a van to transport the rubbish to a recycling facility at my own

We’ve had a very poor experience with Waste Managed.
The setup process was smooth and the sales side was responsive, but once the contract was in place, the level of service dropped significantly. Missed collections have not been a one-off, they’ve been a regular occurrence over the past two years of being in contract with them.
Over that time, we’ve dealt with repeated issues, poor communication, and very little accountability unless we chase things ourselves.
Over the past month in particular, we’ve been extremely diligent, bins out correctly, on time, every scheduled collection. Despite being told that collections can be tracked and verified through their system, we are still left with a full bin.
What’s unacceptable is the shift in their position. We were originally told that tracking would be sufficient proof of service. Now, despite their own system supposedly confirming collections, we are being asked to provide photo evidence. In effect, this means we are being treated as if we are not telling the truth, despite following everything required on our side.
It’s very difficult to have confidence in a service where their own tracking data doesn’t match reality, and the burden is then pushed back onto the customer to prove otherwise.
Being tied into a contract while dealing with this level of inconsistency makes the situation even worse. A basic waste collection service should not require this level of effort or dispute to function properly.
Overall, this feels like a company that focuses on securing contracts, but struggles with delivery and accountability once you’re signed up.
What makes things worse is the recent increase in prices, an increase we can understand but a reduction on service or a reduction on an already poor service is unacceptable and cannot be blamed on anything other than incompetence and laziness.
Now they want me to sign a contract that I have been moved into, apparently informed by email, even though we are having issues. The call handler may as well have laughed and said "oh well, you're in contract for another year now"... Would not recommend.
