Family Law.
The partner and "head" of dept was absolutely terrible. Very poor advice, knowledge, and communication.

I only went back to this company because I had such a positive experience with them 10 years prior to this nightmare. I wish I read reviews beforehand but nostalgia got the better of me.
I am not one for writing damning reviews as I believe most traders and professionals do their best in often difficult and stressful circumstances, however there are exceptions and this is my experience with W&C conveyancing office:
Unprofessional and scandalously incompetent conveyancing service: Notably MrA Wynter avoiding important client communications; poorly drafted emails with embarrassing spelling mistakes; delays passing on documents to other professionals thus disrupting the conveyancing process; misfiling of legal information to Companies House.
W&C complaints procedure is non-existent. I made a formal complaint against A Wynter to the partner Cummins. The complaint with a simple request to resolve the matter was not resolved within the 8 weeks. I immediately reported them to the Legal Ombudsman. (Such is the wealth of complaints about solicitors in this country, the average wait time for cases to be addressed by the Legal Ombudsman is 12-18 moths!) Mr Wynter's height of incompetence came when he created a limited company for my freehold yet used HIS OWN personal details, thus blocking me from filing for the limited company. When I complained, he repeatedly lied saying he did not use his details yet I now have proof showing his details were used to register with the company address AND with Companies House. Steer clear of W&C, they are the Fawlty Towers of Conveyancing!!!

title SGL804544 on Land Registry
Completion day : 28 February 2024 and I moved into this property the same day.
After more than a year,I checked with the Land Registry on 6.4.2025, this title number of the property: SGL804544 still is not in my name
The solicitor is responsible for submitting the required documentation to the Land Registry on my behalf.
All I want to ask is:
why has there been such a long delay?
Why hasn't the transfer been completed yet?
When do you think my solicitor can give me an official copy of title number SGL804544d with my name on it?
I send many email to Mr. Alph Wynter. I have no answer from you at all

We got in contact with Farhana who was truly amazing. She was so helpful and knowledgeable about the whole process. I would definitely recommend her to anyone and will be using her again in the future. Amazing company, amazing solicitor

Appaling solictor. Totally incompetent and made many mistakes, including numerous simple calculations. Provided false information too. I also ended paying almost double of their original quote, which was not totally justified.

I will never use this company again, and I certainly would not recommend them to anyone. Quote the opposite.

You rely on solicitors to help with legal matters and put your trust in them, inly to be let down. They should not be allowed to charge extortionate prices and give a very poor service.

Everyone with whom I came into contact at Wainwright and Cummins was attentive, diligent, knowledgable and resourceful. I don’t know what I would have done without my solicitor Rosalind. She gave me sound advice, spoke frankly yet compassionately and I got the best possible outcome. I highly recommend them.

Was hoping to get a Will for my husband and me done . Paid 6 months ago - chased up many times and heard nothing back - only when I requested my money back did I get a phone call apologising for delay. Arranged a meeting - turned up at arranged time only to be sat in reception area for the meeting, but happy to accept that if the job gets done . That was 2 months ago. Still no Wills. Emailed asking for money back. No reply . Dropped off letter at office 4 days ago. No reply . Very charming friendly solicitor but shouldn’t agree to take on work if they can’t be bothered to do it - especially when we had discussed adding other jobs when this was completed. Obviously don’t want or care about the work.

Selina has been very helpful and professional throughout a child arrangement case, She made what could have been a stressful process feel easy and straightforward. I would 100% recommend.

Tahir Ali is sharp, top of his game and has a wonderful manner. He provided excellent support and advice in relation to my magistrates court case and was instrumental in a successful outcome. Highly recommend this solicitor.

As others have stated would stay clear of this firm if you can even call it that my experiences with them have been shocking to say the least as many others have stated previously Dominic geodjenian is quite possibly the most inhumane “solicitor” I have come across he has lied to the courts many times also caused me serious financial problems prolonged a court case as much as possible so he can be paid more he breaks pretty much every code of conduct there is and he can’t seem to do the smallest of things without mistakes and complications which would have been easily avoidable if he was competent I would advise anyone to stay clear as long as that criminal is still hired I have never wrote a review before but I feel it’s my duty to highlight the problems I have faced so no one has to go though the stress and pain that I have suffered please stay clear

I was kept informed throughout the process. Regular contact was made and a thorough job was completed. Rosalind was friendly, extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Note not if their customers use legal aid, then there is Lorraine. She did and please read her comments. Just shows what scoundrels these lawyers are , profiteering parasites.
Remind you of Marvin's quote " money is not everything" despicable liar , he will definitely ignore You if you need legal aid.

I had Wainwright and Cummins represent me on legal aid. Their Solicitor called Marvin started to try to charge me for phone calls £120 . He never really gave me any forms and apart from one interview at Brixton Police earlier this year. He would never answer my emails nor take my calls . It was so stressful he eventually dropped me. Roll on 6 months and still this case (malicious emails to family member) has now turned into a possible Murder case .Can't say anymore apart from a lot of hard work needed and although personally I am not worried it's not me getting pulled in over murder but it's very complicated so I thought I would write to this Marvin and tell him a lot has really happened and there is new evidence and would he reconsider because having to explain again is just too much as I just had heart surgery. I thought is this guy a decent Human being or a profiteering parasite. One of his quotes " money is not everything" . Anyway he completely blanked me so I got my answer. If you hire Wainwright and Cummins stay away from this selfish nasty callous lawyer. W & C what are you doing employing people like this. As I say to everyone Marvin is the name and he was extremely unimpressive. If you have £400 an hour to pay him he will be there for you but he should never of taken me on because he acted Disgracefully after that and even worse now . Horrible man. Also if you have £400 an hour in my opinion don't hire him. He is average at best but he is nasty and callous in my hour of need .I want to make clear this whole nightmare started in July 2022 , since then he has been a nightmare and dropped me after I didn't/couldn't pay £120 for phone calls. He ignored me pretty much for months and months then dropped me. When I approached him recently to ask him for help because this case has moved on to foul play, he completely ignored me twice. This man is a serious nasty piece of work

selina castanha had closed my case just a few days in prior the hearing making all a nightmare - i had to request to postpone the hearing - she would never work on a serious basis - it was all online contact - nothing human and very impersonalised- She took critics and comments very personnally and was threatening to close my file, very unprofessional and did not show any adaptation to my own circumstances
