Hopeless for 3 weeks I've been trying…
Hopeless for 3 weeks I've been trying to buy a car. They've happily taken my reservation fee, but then I've not been able to get any information I needed before going ahead. They advertised the car but then found that there was a fault so sent it off to get repaired which meant I couldn't get the information I neede. All along it's been advertised and then I get a call back to say as it's been over a certain time my reservation has lapses. I've not had any money back.
I have never been able to deal with the same person. Eventually got hold of manager yesterday who gave me the information I needed and I said I'd call back before he left work. I called back and he'd left at least 15 minutes early. Reception didn't even know he had been in at all.

Vertu need to be a little bit cheaper on price compared to other dealers. However being local and good salesperson persuaded me to purchase with virtu Derby.

Purchase of new Octavia VRS
I have just purchased a new Octavia vrs from Derby Skoda. The whole experience was easy , stress free and as enjoyable as buying a new car should be. Members of staff from all departments and all levels were very customer focused, friendly, attentive and well motivated . I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering buying a Skoda. The cars are very good too.

Great service from start to finish
Great service from start to finish. Oliver was extremely helpful and kept me informed from placing my order for my new Elroq to having it delivered. Slight delay on the delivery but that ended up being a bonus as I got the updated model. Thanks to all the staff involved. Oh and the 2026 Elroq Sportline is a fantastic car.

From taking over our sales enquiry to the delivery of new vehicle, Luke Shelton at Skoda Derby has been exceptionally helpful. He helped secure an excellent vehicle. Made to our specifications. Motability means the driver is disabled with physical or mental health needs. Luke was empathetic, kind, very practical in the help he provided especially as due to unforeseen circumstances all new car deliveries have been delayed. Whenever we made enquiries Luke provided an update. He was always happy to chat with us and answer all our questions. He was happy to ensure a convenient delivery date. Showed us all the new features. Due to being nervous new drivers, Luke also accompanied us for our first drive. Showed us how to use the EV charger. When we got home we had forgotten some features and a panic call to Luke was answered with patient helpful advice. Could not have asked for better service. Very well looked after at Vertu Skoda Derby, highly recommend.

Luke was very helpful right from first meeting us , he’s got lots of patience he had to help us with everything! My husband and I are terrible with technology and it’s the first time I’d qualified for a car on the motorbility scheme and he sorted everything which we are very grateful for so a big thank you too Luke he’s a credit to Skoda !

Visiting Vertu Skoda, Derby
We were able to look round the showroom without feeling pressured by a salesperson but when we needed help, a salesperson was able to answer our questions with knowledge.
Arranging a test drive was easy and again I felt supported, questions answered etc without feeling pressured.
Buying a car was made to feel easy and I was given information about how long it would take etc.
Collecting the car was made easier as linking the car to my phone app would have been impossible without support.
Although I’ve only driven the car for 40 it seem very easy to drive and has everything and more that I would want.
Would I visit the car showroom again? Yes for services and for new cars in the future (but that will be a long time in the future)

I had a 10/10 experience with Skoda…
I had a 10/10 experience with Skoda Derby and would highly recommend them. The dealership itself is very clean, modern, and well-presented, which made the whole visit feel welcoming and professional.
All the staff were friendly and professional throughout. A special mention to Andy, who handled the sale of my new car — he was very knowledgeable and took the time to help me find the right deal without any pressure. Harry took me out for a test drive and was polite, easy to talk to, and made the whole experience very relaxed.
Finally, Mark who finalised everything and handed over the keys. He made sure the car was ready, including fitting new mats, and took the time to walk me through the infotainment system and connect my phone to Apple CarPlay, which was really appreciated.
Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish — excellent service and a great team.

Excellent car dealer
Much better experience at Vertu than other 'big' brands - they were far less pushy (not at all) and much more professional. Ended up buying a new Skoda via them, but spoke to other Vertu teams too who were helpful.
Luke and Charlotte in particular were very helpful.
